Shit that gets you mad in Gmod - Garry's Mod

When a "pro" building servers has all its slots full of 10 years old minges who spawn 500 props welded workshop houses. Hopefully our autokill E2 get rid of them when our ACF turrets don't. Also hoverballs.

However, I have found most of my longest term/best/most intelligent friends here; like Zoey, Laytz94, etc.

People who think they're pro lua coders and ask to develop for every server because they can print Hello World.

Downloaded workshop addons in the Addons folder on the spawn menu being sorted by subscription date (oldest to newest) rather than alphabetical.

Power abusing admins... Luckily I rarely come across them.

When two idiots come onto a server, one of them causes problems (prop pushing to be exact) and I have to ban them, and apparently the other person was their little friend so he started to spam and attempt to crash the server. (Attempt; key word there) In other words, shitheads who feel like they have to take revenge when their stupid incoherently mumbling friend gets banned for something that is obviously against the rules.

multiplayer in general. I just play singleplayer. NPCs and ragdolls are the only friends I need.

Suddenly gm_bigcity really does feel big, and empty, and cold. I swear I just saw something move past that building. Something casting a shadow on the skyscraper. I can feel the city watching me. My presence is the strange one here, not this. The buildings close in slowly, without any means of exit. The voices protrude from the background noise, telling me to just give up. The eyes open, and watch as I struggle. I don't play singleplayer too much anymore.

The fact that I feel like as more time goes on, the worse the community/general playerbase gets. Used to be quite a while ago, you could play on a server as an admin and actually get to enjoy the game, even if the server is popular. Nowadays I can't hardly play on a server I admin on and enjoy it without having to babysit little shitheads or teenagers who think they're so cool n' what have you by causing trouble or being a "troll". On a busy day, the consensus of what happens is: "hey admin come look at my cool (shitty and laggy) contraption xD" "OMG THAT LAMP IS LAGGING THE SERVER ADMIN ADMIN REMOVE IT BAN BLAH BLAH" "ADMIN CAN I HAVE THIS CAN I HAVE THAT -contraption I worked very hard on- PLZ PLZ PLZ ITS SO COOL CAN I HAVE IT PLZZZZZ" And much much more. Those are just things I remember off the top of my head. What was once peaceful and enjoyable has turned into "NO DON'T TOUCH THAT HEY STOP SPAMMING DON'T PROP PUSH OTHER PEOPLE'S SHIT STOP SHOOTING EVERYTHING ASF;KDJFKSDGJ" at every turn. Once I racked up seven permabans in a single day...

I racked up 5 perma's in a signle day, next day I racked up 5 again. I feel for you about all the assholes.

Mingebags. I don't see what fun they get in ruining peoples times.

- People who start using rules to get other people banned. Every time I play PERP now, the first thing someone does when I ask them a question is, "DO YOU HAVE A WARRANT?" "If you don't have a warrant I'm gonna record this and get you banned!" "WHERES YOUR WARRANT" When the question was, 'Hey have you seen this man's car?' - How every community is only made now to scam kids or people who are power-hungry. - Community patriotism... I can't count the times I've went onto some random server, and people acting all high and mighty trying to promote their clans/communities server by forcing it onto everyone. Case and Point: I was running a radio talkshow where I hosted interviews with random players on the server, and asked them about how they felt with the current goings of the entire roleplay genre of Garry's Mod. Everything was all fine and dandy when players were praising the server we were playing on, but then we had a disgruntled admin who came in, and told everyone how screwed up the admin team was... Not admin team drama either. The guy came in and described shit like alt-accounting admins who would organize raiding parties to facilitate a belief within certain groups of players that donating to the server would make you more powerful[via raiding/harrasing them]. He also released some of the finances for the server, and made it pretty clear that the server didn't actually need donations, and that the server was running a surplus of roughly $7,500 dollars. Yeah... GMod is pretty fucked up at points. Not to mention about the admin-stuff, the guy also mentioned they specifically targeted kids, knowing they could get them upset and it would be easier to force them into donating.

Kids. They make administrating harder than it needs to be. If only there were a way to tie age to a steam id.

Seven permabans sounds like a pretty quiet day. Back when this section was full of nothing but advertisements, I played them all. Whenever someone posted the server, I went on it to figure out if it was pure shit or regular shit. Permabans all around, usually up to a dozen on Saturdays when I had the most time. Shit that gets me mad in gmod: When some addon or map fills my console with "cannot create user message" or whatever. I got it the first thousand times, console.

Others were previously banned users who came back just to do the exact same thing again. People like those we figure aren't worthy of keeping around so we don't give them a longer ban, just perma. Because they'd probably just come back and do it a third time once their ban is up.

The fact that ever server has donator benefits/bought admin that assholes take advantage of, kiddies for admins, typical angsty teens for a userbase or a combination of all of those. A good server just seems impossible.

DarkRP. Prepube cp jails you for spawning a prop? Prepube admin destroys all of your fucking stuff (i had 20k worth of gun shipments) for blocking a door (which had a keypad fading door ffs) and you can't do shit because he'll start wailing. Also, in TTT and DarkRP people who try to do insurance fraud stuff. They will run into danger if it's made by an innocent\citizen so they can get them in deep shit.

Once I racked up seven permabans in a single day...[/QUOTE] Oh, that's nothing. Seems to be regular on TTT due to all the rdm. Fucking hell, ~100 bans in 3 weeks. I don't even understand, why do people bother, takes few seconds for an admin to ban the guy. But sandbox, I must say, on GMod 12, all the players knew wire and used it to build stuff, now in GMod 13 most of the people have no idea how to use it, or haven't even installed it. Although the minges have decreased aswell, it's just people who have no idea how to build.

Having to modify sandbox to get rid of the dupes menu. I run a build server where for the last 3 years we haven't allowed spawning things you didn't make yourself. Main reason for it was that we were getting players that couldn't actually build anything and never had any incentive to learn as they could just spawn dupes.
