That's why they buy it. They know they will never achieve it without paying for it.
Decided to play some MP and join a prophunt server because it's a simple gamemode.
The first 3 servers I joined had fake players (2 or empty when it said 20-50 players).
Finally found a server and 2 guys on the prop team were invisible and invulnerable, in other words you can't win as a hunter.
They just kept tossing props on the hunters in order to trick them.
So I say to my team that we got 2 we can't kill and one guy says "First time you played this gamemode?" like it's ok to cheat.
Every time I play MP I just get reminder why I usually don't play MP.

MP shouldn't exist anymore. It's just terrible.
You're joining a Sandbox server, a server advertises wiremod in the hostname..
Obviously, you would join that server to build stuff with Wire!
Suddenly, you just finished building the base of your contraption, and then you want to use the wiring tool obviously.
Well, here comes the best part! Wiremod is restricted and you need to play 4 hours first on it first before you can use it.
Higher ranks also start killing you in noclip, because you said someone their mic was a bit too loud.
I'm not going to say which server this is.
Build Public Server 2.0, 70.114.235.171:27015
But you just did.
When a random kid joins the server and starts thinking he's a xX5urp4 1337 tr0113rXx just because he can mess with peoples work on sandbox servers.
I got slain next round for winning a 1vs5 situation as the sole last remaining Innocent. Oh, the drudgery.
I even called all of them out, like "Fuck you traitors" and yet it was "RDM" lol.
It's my regular server too and every time I join it I lead the scoreboard, but the thick-skulled admins.. they made me mad for a change.
Some things that pisses me off
-People abusing servers without damage logs.
-People who always assume adding something new will lag the server.
-How laggy and unstable addons make my Garry's mod.
-Admins who don't bother to talk to the wrong duer and just ban him instantly.
-The amount of kids in Garry's mod with shitty stressers/booters.
But you just did.
Exactly.
People with closed minds is destroying gmod for me.

Generic statement of the day.
MP shouldn't exist anymore. It's just terrible.
Nah, there's quite a few good servers out there.
Back on topic; What gets me mad in Gmod?
Builder elitism. Where if they build better than you do, they feel like they have the right to shit all over you, your efforts, and what you build, treating you like a worthless pile of shit.
I see this in ACF builders primarily. It's like a sport that people give too much of a fuck about. It's just a game. Stop it. Stop treating everyone like shit that just happens to not be as good as you.
Kids threatening about DDOSing and kids that are DDOSing (or tries) just because they got banned and think they have pretty mad skills because they can DDOS.
Others general stupidity
Are implying its not true?
A "closed minded" person can be as much as someone who simply disagrees with you on something and isn't convinced of your arguments.
Sure, that's true. There will always be people who disagree with you and who aren't easily persuaded. Do they ruin your GMod experience? Only if you let them :)
[editline]8th September 2013[/editline]
And by "letting them" I mean you trying to persuade everyone of your exact mindset.

Something that made me mad recently is when I install an addon, but cannot find the files anywhere in the models tab. Or when they do have an addon folder in the models tab, but the models aren't there.

Shit like this. Sometimes, admins do shit wrong
Also, servers that have a ton of useless workshop downloads and dubstep as their loading screen music. I don't mind when servers have loading music except when it's obnoxious dubstep or it's really loud. Or both.
when people complain about gmod

...as much as I hate badmins, when you ask them "on whose authority" all they gotta do is point at themselves, because they're actually *paying* for the server.

Well, just because you pay for something doesn't mean you're always right. You can pretend you are, and ban anyone who thinks differently, but that's a really shitty attitude to have and in the long run, all it's going to do is harm your traffic.
Like, if you can't handle being wrong or accepting alternative opinions, you are not mature enough to run a server or even admin one, end of.

Only problem with that last statement is that it describes pretty much how the Garrysmod development cycle goes :v:
When people don't realize that RDM is not always RDM. Sometimes Innocents kill Innocents, that's the name of the game.

What is RDM, anyway? I kill people randomly in the streets all the time. What's the point in such a rule?

actually i was referring to spending two weeks working on something just to be bitched about because certain features *cough* legs when you look down *cough* weren't installed on the server, nevermind the other shit because without legs roleplay scripts aren't as good as clockwork
then again i really dont have high expectations anymore
If I have a problem with a server it's usually one of the three things
-Admins/Mods: I can sympathize with the difficulty of these positions, but sometimes you do get people in these positions who really have no business being there and like going on power trips. I've been on servers thrown out because I've messed up screenshots being waaay in the background without being warned as such. And I'm serious there.
-Bad RP: I'll preface this with saying that I do go on RP servers from time to time and I'm not knocking the community. I was part of one for a long time (Melonbrew, later Meteornet). I do get annoyed by those who kind of become so self-absorbed that they are hostile to newcomers or just get into abusive cliques and make it hard for anyone to join in. Some people get way too obsessed with it too, but that's another problem entirely.
-Treatment of newcomers: the previous one mentioned this but I don't like it when people are overly harsh on newcomers. Yeah, there are annoying ones but there are those who genuinely want to learn how to use Gmod. It's overwhelming enough with the basic controls starting off, it's worse with some of the add-ons and enhancements. Add to that users being assholes to those who haven't quite obtained their degree of skill, but are really trying.

I used to help newbies a lot, because they were more mature, older people that actually tried and were patient with the game and those who tried to help them.
But then as more children started playing the game the more disgruntled and reluctant I got on helping people, until eventually I didn't want to help anyone at all anymore unless I knew them really well.
Why?
Well, with the ever-increasing influx of kids that's happened in the past, 9 times out of 10 when I'd help a newbie they clung onto me like a fucking leech. They didn't want to think nor learn for themselves at all and were constantly following me around, even following me to other servers, spamming messages/friend requests on steam, spitting out questions they could easily learn for themselves if they used their head for once or googled a tutorial (which for a grand majority of their questions there were many easy to follow tutorials for).
Eventually it got to the point where I just can't help newbies anymore unless I know they're not going to be annoying. Perhaps even bitter towards newbies now, just because I can't get those past experiences out of my head. And when I don't help them and someone else does, the same thing happens to the one who decided to help.
Leech. Instantly.
I can't remember the last time I actually found a person who wanted to learn a little for themselves and not pester everyone for help.
Perhaps I'm also bitter because when I started Gmod, I pretty much googled and figured everything out by myself with little to no help.

That's why I love/hate helping people in Help & Support. Every once in a while, I'll teach some kid how to fix his GMod or setup a server, which results in him spamming me with more questions/friend requests (I had one kid ask me for help on my AskFM, I was just shocked) which results in me having a mental breakdown. I hate being rude to people I help; they have good intentions at heart and are just trying to be friendly, but sometimes it drives me insane. That's why a solemnly help with Lua questions, because that will usually result in "Hey do you want to be a dev on my DarkRP server? I'll give you free VIP on the same server you're working for."

not exactly, people who are afraid of change is more or less what I was talking about.
