I am sick of people trying to get each other banned on RP servers. I was on Modified DarkRP the other night, and was with another guy playing the Police, and him and I found some money printers. Money printers were not [I]exactly illegal[/I], so him and I figured that we would pick up the printers, take them to a secured area, contact the owner, and go drop off their printers. In the first five minutes of picking up those printers we were getting chased by some random gangsters demanding we give them the printers or they would get us banned for FailRP. "Wut" me and the other officer said to each other. We told them that printers were not illegal, and that we were delivering them to the owner, but they wouldn't take no for an answer and tried to kill us. I killed one, got killed myself, and the other officer stood his ground and ended up killing one and combat arrested the other. As soon as I respawn, him and I are dragged into an admin sit where the guys we just dealt with are saying that we are FailRP'ing and "Faggot combat arresters!" My buddy who is actually a homosexual, asked them to stop using the word faggot as a metaphor for a lesser, and they kept saying it until the admin told them to cut it out. Now they are getting all pissy and saying that we combat arrested them, were failrping, and blah blah. The admin explained to them that we were completely in the right regarding the situation, but the guys kept dragging the conversation on, and demanded an admin that they were friends with to be allowed into the conversation. The admin denied the request. The bitched and moaned that it wasn't fair that we were trying to get them banned[we didn't start the admin sit], and tried everything they could to try and get us banned. The admin finally got fed up with it, and told them to shut the hell up, once again. They now stated that because moneyprinters were not actually listed in the laws that we were not allowed to state "their legal". The admin basically told them that's bullshit, and that they need to stop digging for reasons. They fucking exploded and contacted an admin in the Ventrillo to come deal with the situation, and the admin contacted the admin we had been originally in the sit with to essentially pull damage control, and not ban any of us. The admin garfed, but agreed that it was necessary, and told me that unless the law states its legal, that its illegal. The three guys we were dealing with tried to state, "hahah now ban em" and the admin simply replied, "fuck off" and told them that he wasn't banning anyone. From that point it degraded with them starting an arguement with the officer I was with, calling him a faggot, an asshole, coward, blah blah blah, and as expected he started responding. He told them to stop harassing him, and leave him the fuck alone, but they kept going until the admin and I finally got through with our, "guys... calm down... guys... shut up... SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU STUPID RETARDS, ITS NOT A FUCKING BIG DEAL" and the admin ended up teleporting them all to spawn aside from myself, and him and I had a conversation about why he had to pull damage control. From what I have gathered, the two parties do this every time they get into an argument with each other, and they try to get each other banned to feel better than the other person. This shit has gotten so bad that most of the admins have to pull damage control to avoid 3rd party players[such as myself] from getting banned for stupid reasons. And this is why I hate rules.

Here's my best attempt: People most often use the word "faggot" much like they use the word "fuck". When you curse with "fuck", you do not refer to the act of sexual intercourse. You can use "fuck" to refer to the actual act, but when cursing, this is not the case. Likewise, when people call other people faggots, or when they call someone or something "gay", they usually don't refer to actual homosexuality. Sure you can use the word to specifically mean "homosexual" (e.g. [i]"Someone told me the neighbor next door is a faggot"[/i]), but it's not what people generally mean. You (and your friends) can point out that one of your buddies is homosexual, but being sissy about what words people use can only make the situation worse for everyone. Rather, you should acknowledge that people who say "faggot" could be the biggest gay rights activists or even gay themselves. It's not necessarily used to demean gay people. ------------ Second point: I think no admin should ban based on hearsay. When I administrate, I ban only those I catch red handed. The reason why I'm really efficient in banning minges is because I fly around spectating with a mod that allows me to spectate without being detectable by scripts or other silly tricks. When someone bitches at me for someone else being a minge, I'll spectate either the accuser or the accused to see what's happening. I then make my own decision. Sadly I can't trust admins to use the same approach, even though they all have the resources to do it (FAdmin spectate).

Man. What really pisses me off about GMod is that communities can't coexist with eachother, and as a result, said communities end up DDoSing eachother till the communities become defunct. It's just baffling me quite a lot.

Something I hate: those FPS game addicts that got Garry's Mod on some Steam sale and only know how to download weapon packs and go around killing and annoying serious builders on Sandbox servers, but if you ask them to weld two things together they'll ask you what the Toolgun is. Also, I can't stand those ageists who think 100% of the 13 year-olds are completely retarded and unable to do anything other than playing COD and Capitalizing Every Damn Word They Type. If you look at my profile, then at the way I talk, you'll understand why those piss me off.
