That's mostly because you can't do that easily in Gmod. Pulling a pistol out of a coat requires animations. Where do we get to animations? Animators? Like there are a lot of animators out there (surprisingly there are not).
Another reason we use text is to cement the idea. If you were to just pull a pistol out of your coat, would you count that as just something OOC (Out of character, meaning doing things that aren't related to RP) or IC (In character, the opposite). Using text makes sure people know that you pulled the pistol out of your coat.

I asked why and he just simply stated that "IF YOU DO NOT OBEY I WILL GET AN ADMIN ON U ND BAN U FOR FAILRP!!!!!!!" Of course I saw through that and thought to myself " yeah, sure." So I decied to climb up to the 2nd floor and try to get out through a window shaft with 2 boxes. I was through and decied to run for it. You know, run for freedom! It didn't take long though before an admin showed up and told me all the rules I broke and that if I repeated it I would get banned. So, he took his physgun and put me back in the house.
I was in that house for 20 minutes, 20 FUCKING MINUTES without ANYTHING happening. The other guy that I was with managed to escape into town and live free. The CP that was guarding the place was gone and I decied that I should try escaping again. I repeated what I did before and got out from the shelf. I was out in the free for around 20 seconds before that asshole admin showed up again and said that I was going to get banned for "FailRP" because I didn't obey the CP. I then said I had been in that shelf for 30 minutes and he just said "fuck off poopoo failrper" and then banned me permanently.

I have to agree on this one, nowadays HL2RP servers are fucking boring as shit. There were times when there were servers where you could do things on, you could be creative about what you do (That's the fun of Passive Roleplay, creating a your own character in the world, shaping him or her how you want to). For example, there was this one server that I usually played on that was pretty lenient. I got to be a vortigaunt eventually and I was able to do some pretty cool shit like have a sword made out of the Xen crystals.
However there are still communities out there that still let you still be how you want to. This one server based on Star Ship Troopers allows you to do some pretty crazy shit before FailRP is even mentioned, and it's fun to create a character on there.
(also you use poopoo to much)
I hate when DarkRP servers have "Serious" in their name, then when you go on it's a bunch of little kids mic spamming random shit and gang members in a RDM war with the cops -.-
Serious RP gamemodes are an example of slavery, Lite RP gamemodes are an example of how to scam idiots.

The one thing that REALLY gets me angry/butthurt/pissed/mad is that the game is so poorly optimized due to all those background processes that run the menu's and shit. I'd be lucky if I could get over 30 FPS with NOTHING spawned.

How could making your RP character actually pull out a gun possibly be considered OOC?
Really, if you don't consider an animation of your rp character IC, then you won't consider walking, ducking, looking around, jumping etc as IC either.
You might as well skip gmod and RP on an IRC server.
How Roleplay dies. Couple years ago Roleplay servers were full and people were fighting for getting a job and it was serious RP, Meta was bannable. Well, i started to play Perp again and i found out that, no one Roleplays, no one does jobs and so many Meta's in an hour. Wish they lower the drug and unemployment payment and don't give an change to get money from donating, so people would really do jobs and take the fist out of the ass and start punishing people. I belive the biggest reason for this is the steam sales.

I mean it would have been fine if one had to put into the admins chat (because you only have to do it because admins are too incompetent to keep track of their server), but putting it in an IC chat destroys the whole purpose of the thing.

Guide to a normal sane human being's reaction when they see the hit accepted message in chat:
Stick you head up, look around, close your windows then hope you don't get shot.
I mean seriously, by saying that in chat you're literally putting everyone on guard which makes it 10 times harder to successfully strike.
How to Raid in DarkRP:
- Get a reason to raid
-- Finding a reason is near impossible
--- Even if you find one, you have to take a screenshot to confirm it
---- Now /y or /advert raid because obviously you need to tell the person you are raiding
----- You either succeed, or most likely die because of Doomforts (MAZES ARE FUCKING FUN)
------ If you succeed get ready for a twenty minute admin sit about random raiding
------- Show your evidence of what you found
-------- Still get banned because you forgot to do one minor thing regarding raiding
And after all this, even if you do all of the above, you'll still get banned because the admins don't like their gravy trains made of donations drying up. Of course, complaining about this also gets you banned for Community Disrespect.

if you have a gun out then expect to see less of them as they will just wait untill you begin to hack the door, and your buds can't even cover you because the door you are hacking is right behind the entrance and only one person can fit

Don't even bother trying to get through a base.
Most of the time either one prop is unfrozen, but welded. You can just grab it with your gravgun then and walk through as if it were no-collided.
If there's no such prop just do the old trick where you push yourself through other props with one of your props.

step 1: learn how to push yourself through walls using your own props
step 2: rape them in the butthole cos they were too busy watching their front door (protip: don't use lube)
step 3: get banned by butthurt admin with no evidence or discussion
step 4: reconnect on sock account
step 5: propkill everybody and crash the server
step 6: ???
step 7: profit!
