How could making your RP character actually pull out a gun possibly be considered OOC? Really, if you don't consider an animation of your rp character IC, then you won't consider walking, ducking, looking around, jumping etc as IC either. You might as well skip gmod and RP on an IRC server.
Ironically it's because we've had no animations for those things ever, so Serious Roleplayers are to used to everything being typed out that when someone pulls out a weapon and doesn't type it out they throw a shit fit when they would get shot.
And trying to find something better? Fuck you. The current roleplay community on Garry's Mod is so hellbent in robbing 12 year olds of their mommy and daddies's credit cards, that everything is either based on this shitty raid for any personal gain system, or be a sex slave to a group of horny man children on SeriousRP. This is the definition of fun on RP.
I have to say I agree on the serious RP part, I find myself only like 1 or 2 servers where people actually trying to roleplay rather than try to pursue Cybersex... Remember, I am no longer really even play Gmod any more, so the situations may have changed, however when I last looked at the Serious RP picture, it was pretty much what you guys described, so I'm on your side.
A critical model for your comic (ex: the protagonist) was taken off of Workshop and you can no longer access it.
Take the gma and unpack it (I assume you already downloaded it?)
don't download addons from untrustworthy people, the medium that people conduct attacks should not entirely be blamed.
Do we need steamrep for the gmod workshop now, to find out what we can actually download. I hope it won't come to that point.
Do we need steamrep for the gmod workshop now, to find out what we can actually download. I hope it won't come to that point.
SteamRep is a horrible system, my friend got dinged because he changed his name to Valve Support GmBH.
10 year olds hosting servers, and making the most stupidest rules to completely kill you from having fun.
I just bought Garry's Mod yesterday for $10 to gift to a friend and it goes on sale for $2.50 today :( Garry--I demand my $7.50 back or else I'm going to switch to JBMod
You're treading a fine line buddy.
The Gmod screenshot/artwork hub Seriously this shit. While the artwork section is a shithole.

You probably want to get rid of those serial numbers aswell. I don't know if you can get anything from those but I wouldn't take a chance. Also, how the duck did you get 0 posts?
Oh, I thought he was complaining about people who asked if they could play even though Source is probably the most well optimized engine ever
Oh, I thought he was complaining about people who asked if they could play even though Source is probably the most well optimized engine ever
It was for its time, but it no longer uses hardware to its fullest. It cant even use multiple cores!
snip
Please edit your post and delete everything you posted, like TheMrFailz said, and yes you probably can.
Source?
Sorry for the late reply :O, Lucky Cookie Deathrun - the most jigsaw server you will ever play on.
It was for its time, but it no longer uses hardware to its fullest. It cant even use multiple cores!
I meant well optimized as in "any computer can run it", not "any computer can run it at 300 fps".
I meant well optimized as in "any computer can run it", not "any computer can run it at 300 fps".
My dead grandmother's tin can can't run it. Source games don't run on DOS.
Steam needs an "I don't accept friend invites" option. Garry's mod is the only game people seem to do this in.

Opening "/props/destruction_tanker" results in a instant crash. This is very annoying when working with Left 4 Dead 2 or CS:GO props.
Opening "/props/destruction_tanker" results in a instant crash. This is very annoying when working with Left 4 Dead 2 or CS:GO props.
Yeaaaah... There's quite a few L4D1/2 and CS:GO props that just rendering the icon for them causes GMOD to basically shoot it's self in the face.
The Gmod screenshot/artwork hub
that guy who made that sinistro bullshit is another one of those hat fetish showoff people from that free2play game people call hat simulator 2. that's pretty much what the gmod screenshot/artwork tab has turned into nowadays.

Pm to robotBoy, have the addon banned.
The amount of Russian and mostly GERMANIC TTT servers is just holy shit.

What do you prefer? The code removed or the addon description? EDIT: Actually screw that... Ill go ahead and removed it before anyone starts taking it too serious... And by the way... My Pain Sounds were infected aswell... Ill start using my brain next time some act like this pops into my head
The amount of Russian and mostly GERMANIC TTT servers is just holy shit.
Yeah the amount of [GER] TTT servers are ridicolous. There is like, 20 german servers for 2 english ones.
Yeah the amount of [GER] TTT servers are ridicolous. There is like, 20 german servers for 2 english ones.
Yep, and if you're picky about server configurations and such like I am, then it becomes like finding a needle in a stack of haystacks.
What really pisses me off, is that some people can not, or simply choose not to read or listen. I run a TTT server with multiple mini games and special rounds/modifiers that can be randomly chosen at the start at of a round to mix up the gameplay (standard TTT gets a little boring sometimes) on rounds (left) 1 and 3. For example; we have a mode called tick tick boom (basically hot potato), where it gives one player a bomb that will explode after a certain amount of time, but you can pass it on by hitting another player with it as though it is a crowbar, and the time carries over then it chooses someone new until there is one man standing. No matter how I try to warn them, be it via me personally saying over voice, text that is highlighted in the chat, a custom notification that comes up, or a splash screen that freezes the player and displays the text for 7 seconds. People still ask the question of "Why did I die?", "Why am I holding a jihad/bomb?", "Why is there a timer at the bottom of the screen?" No matter how I try to explain it, people still accuse RDM or complain that they don't know what is going on. Another example, is another mode called Hiccup Mode, where you swap places with another player randomly on the map, every 45 to 90 seconds. "Why was I teleported?". Maybe even King of the Hill (1 traitor, kill the T to become the T - last man standing), "OMG I GOT RDM'D!!!, HOW DID YOU KNOW I WAS THE TRAITOR?!", because you killed the traitor, so that meant you were the new traitor? Any suggestions on how I can get people to read/listen? I guess it just human nature, I mean I'm we're all guilty of skipping reading text or listening e.g "I accept the terms and conditions" on most things. /rant
Yeah the amount of [GER] TTT servers are ridicolous. There is like, 20 german servers for 2 english ones.
I'm german and I would never seriously consider playing on any german gmod server. There are just the biggest nerds (the bad sort of them) and wannabe big boys.
