Now that I think about it, Why the hell do they show up at all in the workshop? If you subscribe to them, Gmod freaks the hell out and refuses to mount it thinking it's a baddon. (Checked console once and found that in there.)
They ought to be hidden from the regular workshop and only appear under the dupes tab. A search thing for the dupes tab would be nice too.

Well to be quite honest, dupes like the LAF vehicles line deserve to be on the front page as much as any addon.

I had this one admin who insisted that the traitor tester (67thway) somehow "ruins the game." I even tried to tell him otherwise, and wondered stuff like "Why are we even playing this map then?" etc. I left shortly after due to all this.
Anyway, I joined this server on a later date again, spawned as Detective and gathered some Innocents around to test.
But then who else but our same old Admin came in and wanted to stop the testing while being Innocent himself.. So I killed him out of frustration straight away because we weren't done testing yet, and he didn't even slay me.. which was a positive surprise.
Maybe now he has changed his mind about his zero-tolerance testing policy. :v:

It's a very cheap/mindless way to get proven and it's dull for everyone to just camp in one room
Also, keep in mind, that admins/server owners aren't going to bend their rules to suit your personal needs. If you don't like the tester thing, but it's a defined server rule, then it's kind of your own fault for not following it.
I don't think it was even specified in the rules.. More like a case of admin who didn't even care about the people playing on his server.
I mean, if a bunch of normal users on my server chose to perhaps use the tester en masse, and risk themselves getting all blown up by C4, then no, I wouldn't stop them by breaking it just because I'm an admin and I can.
seriously what kind of an admin wants to fuck with and interrupt the fun of regular users on his server? I sincerely hope you don't promote this sort of behavior and play (as an admin)

Seriously. Throw a molly (Molotov) or any other area-of-effect device in a traitor room and you'll instantly score a decent number of kills. That's the really really bad thing about the traitor tester rooms. They're almost always located in semi-cramped areas with 1 or 2 exits. OR like that one map with the traitor-flood-able room as the only entrance.
And as you've probably figured out by now, I don't think traitor testers are bad at all. If anything they're more a detriment to the innocents than a help.

If I'm ever T on that map and I know that people rely on that, I wait for the whole server to get in there and then plant a C4 nearby. If they try to escape I flood the room. 9 times out of 10 it wins me the match.
This [i]kinda[/i] further supports the idea that tester does not exactly "RUIN" the game.. Because testing will almost always cost Innocent lives in one way or another. It can be a death trap for all of 'em.
Then yes I suppose what Niandra finds dull about it is when some innocent(s) dedicated to his cause manages to keep track of all the people who's been tested (otherwise it's pointless), and turn the game around into a certain victory.
Also it isn't about my personal need to test people, it's about being a righteous Innocent and doing what I can to win the round for the other Innos. And if no one doesn't seem to wanna test, then that's the end of it.
