When you put a new feature in-game, say like a new traitor weapon, and either explain it via forum post or on the loading screen or in-game, and most users won't bother to read it and want to be personally spoon fed on how it works
When you put a new feature in-game and don't explain it because of reasons above and most users won't bother with it because they're scared to try new things
I feel as if I can't win and I hope it's something that only happens in my community because it's exhausting to deal with
Garry's Mod looks dated. Everything needs a facelift. I don't want a Crytek-level engine, but we could do with some new shaders, some improved textures, some improved anti-aliasing, and stuff like that.

It is when you have a 2.4GHz quad core and your game runs at sub 30 fps because the game only uses 1 of the cores. And yes, there's a physics replacement being worked on

Yeah, definitely not unique to your server, even very simple things that should be self explanatory will cause people to demand an explanation.
Sandbox servers with M9k, SCars/TDM cars, WAC at once, which then have the word "build" inside their name.
People that call spawning an scar, editing its wheels and frame, then color actually building. Lol.
Also people who try spawning a blacklisted jeep or airboat like 9000 times, try using a restricted duplicator on the map to spawn workshop dupes and then yell at the admins because they can't spawn anything.

Definitely this, I rarely play sandbox, but often when I decide to the server has me download tons of shitty addons unrelated to building. Also those servers tend to have just a couple people building, and most fighting.

Garry's Mod basically consists from other games. You can't give it a "facelift".

I've got to agree with you for once, I find it annoying how I've got some pretty darn good Computer parts but still get fucked for FPS in Garry's mod

The fact that the game gets most attention on gamemodes which orignally were not even included or intended for it.
Afaik, GMod was intended to be a sandbox-style simulation of the sauce engine, without nowadays modes like prophunt, ttt, darkrp and whatnot.
Soundscapes in most maps being broken in multiplayer, but functioning correctly in singleplayer. gm_citadel is a big culprit here. Ambient sound effects sound perfectly normal and fitting when I launch the map in singleplayer, but whenever I join a friend's server that is running the exact same map, everything is wrong. For example, going up to the top of the Citadel causes swamp and ocean sounds to play in the background instead of strong winds and HL2's Citadel ambiance.
Garry, please stop working on that train wreck DayZ clone called Rust and start fixing your infinitely superior first game.

That won't change much, and will require to update to newer engine branch, breaking support for ALL current maps.
It would be cool to be able to load different BSP version maps, or change different part of the engine to work with specific maps.

- Paid Admins
- No Vanilla servers with Players in them, or Servers lying that it's Vanilla
- Certain "good" props (Such as D0G's sign from Eli's Scrapyard) not on the white list; I want to spread my propaganda around, and protest, dammit
- NLR
- Serious RP
- No one actually RP-ing
- RP-ing not actually RP-ing
- The discrimination against Bronies, Furrys, etc, just for liking said fandoms
- Everyone having an IQ below 90
- Long. Download. Times.
- Too many addons
- Addons not working, and showing up as errors, despite having the materials needed mounted (I'm looking at you, certain versions of M9k)
DarkRP is a very uncomfortable experience for many. It's very hard to find a good server these days, and even then, the gamemode is still certainly flawed.
Remember when you could play DarkRP, shoot someone, and not have to enter an admin sit..?

Call me optimistic :) But I'm making an add-on for Dark RP at the moment that will hopefully make it much more enjoyable.
Hoping to slow the pace down a bit, cut out RDM while letting players that want to be killers, corrupt cops etc still possible. I want to increase what each class can do, so there's still things to do when the server is quiet, as well as including job progression etc.
I'm also going to try and make the world a bit more interactive, with things appearing as people do things in the map.
I'm not going to say it'll be awesome, as I have absolutely no idea, but I want to at least attempt to try and use the Dark RP base to make a much more enjoyable and playable game-mode. I've got the ideas, and will keep doing this till it's finished, whether it's good or not, as even if it's not, it'll be a good learning experience!

In default Dark RP RDM just ruins gameplay. However I'm hoping to make RDM possible, and the punishment to be an actual RP punishment. At the end of the day, in real life, if a serial killer goes around with an AK47 spraying down people, the police don't just magically freeze them in place, teleport them to a roof and give them a good telling off. They chuck 'em in jail and throw away the key ;)
