Models with compression artifacts
Models are not compressed.
I meant the materials/textures, jeez.

Shitty music when joining a server.
Not exactly Garry's Mod the game-related, more related to this section. The amount of people who can't read the very first thread at the top of this section's title:
This isn't the place for Help & Support threads or Server advertising threads. YOU WILL BE BANNED IF YOU DO.
I understand wanting to help people who post "halp me" threads in this section, and I also understand that finding these threads through the newly created threads thing plays a big part in people who help others not realizing that the thread they're replying to is in the wrong section....but come on. At least check the top of the page before you reply to a help thread. If you see "Home > Forum > Garry's Mod > Garry's Mod General Discussion", then report the thread as spam and move along. I'm all for helping people out, but if the person is just gonna end up banned why even bother? Last I heard, this section isn't heavily moderated as it should be (I guess there's a lack of admins watching this section? I could be wrong) which would explain why it takes a day (or three) for most threads I report to be locked.

I just see locked threads. Not sure if they were already unbanned and I missed it because I'm a goof, or if she's just overly generous (which isn't a bad thing)
100 and 1 gib mods, none of them giving a fuck about alien blood
So far, I think this is the only person I've actually banned for it: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1399877 Generally, what I've been doing is looking at the user's previous post. If it's the first time they've posted in the wrong section, I just politely ask them to remake it in the right place and lock it, however if the user has done it multiple times, then I take further action and give bans I thought this was a good method of handling things, but I'm open to feedback/suggestions
i'd say 1 day/3 days/7 days on each respective thread
-Moderator awesomeness.-
Best. Moderator. Ever. (Also, so far the only moderator who ain't Hitler.)

But what you do definitely works Also do the mod tools even work on that version of IE?
Community 'wars'.
Community 'wars'.
Community drama is just so strange in my opinion, in theory it'd all be fine, admins would be fine doing admin stuff, players would just play the damn game. But nope, the opposite has to happen. Protip for community owners, you should be the main coder, if you aren't then whatever coder you find might get bitchy and leave you.
Guess all the server owners who don't know how to code and don't try to learn just treat gmod as their "Gaming Community Tycoon" game. In all seriousness, does a community really need the owner to be a coder? If one gets fed up or leaves for other reasons you can find someone else right?
Communities that have large downloads that make you use Mega.co.nz You have to reset the download every few minutes. It's annoying as all hell.

It's as if Garry's Mod is a business-- and not a game that's mostly inhabited by twelve year old children.

(D)DOS makes you an asshat, sure, but I have minimal respect for people who cross the DOX line.

All the *custom* servers which are 90% cosmetic and 10% gameplay customization, and most of the time that 10% gameplay customization is pure garbage.

After a riot in the main city, we had gotten reports that a younger player had been kidnapped by a group of "Anti-Fish" players and was taken to the UM on Evocity. Naturally, we responded with a small combat team that managed to break through their lines and defenses, killed off the majority of them, and broke into the hostage room in the back building in the UM facility. What we found literally left most of us dumbfounded. We found the kid in a small cramped up cage in the corner of the room, and his player model was jutting back and forth and every time he tried to speak across the mic, it was coming out in a very mumbled and cluttered form. We didn't know it at the time, but a lot of the "Anti-Fish" rioters were going around and loopholing the rule of FearRP to kidnap fish merchants, and they would take them to secluded areas on the map, and would subject them to 5 Minute Interval DDoS attacks, would run DOX files on them, threaten to come to their house and kill them. Most of the time the people being tortured were no older then 13... Maybe 15. The most upsetting thing about this though wasn't the fact they were being subjected to all sorts of torture and threats, but the fact that these kids wouldn't just cut their losses and leave the server, because they would have been banned for a lengthy period of time for avoiding an "RP situation" and "Disconnecting the server to avoid Hostage RP". These kids would never have been able to make a full-frontal debate against these people, as their was no way for them to prove what was happening. We nick-named the method "Stut Torture" and honestly, its one of the few things that sorta made me stop playing RP servers for a very, very long time.

Why did the admins allow it??
You make it sound like you were the first guys that came across the horrors of the concentration camps with that tone.
