You spawn as a "restricted guest" and you only have to pass a little single multiple choice question about something simple in the game. It deters complete newbies and mingebags quite a lot. If you fail, you can rejoin to try again but if you fail 5(I think?) times in a row you can't try again for a couple minutes. The only thing you can do in this state is move around with a grav gun only and talk. If an admin is on at the time, you can ask them to force a re-quiz so you don't have to rejoin. 2. As a guest, you are only restricted from a small handfull of things: Weapons aside from the Crowbar, ragdolls, NPCs, and public workshop dupes. 3. You are autoranked to regular by a script after 20 hours of accumulated play. But doing so doesn't grant you a whole lot of freedoms aside from now just being able to spawn ragolls, one whole NPC, and public workshop dupes. Luckily for us, the kind of players that want to spam that kind of stuff don't stay around long enough to become a regular because all they want to do is play with NPCs, public shit, ragdolls, and just shoot at people instead of actually [I]build.[/I] The rank is just mostly a "thank you" for sticking around. What makes me mad in Gmod? When people flag your content saying you stole it. And you get a ban for it. I was lucky my ban got overturned. What also annoys me is when people ask questions that I've already answered, maybe a few comments ago, or something that's already in the description of the addon.

^ 90% of Gmod players are still getting potty trained and your trying to get them to read :O

Basically it was a huge deathmatch around spawn and serious builders would retreat into their hidden bunkers then emerge 10 minutes later with a massive death machine that would completely flatten all the little cod kiddies. Sometimes you'd even get a clash between multiple death machines such as one day when one guys huge ass zeppelin faced off against a swarm of one man fighters, the fighters won when one of them managed to bail out of their plane, land on the zeppelin, blow its gun platform off with c4 then kill its driver. T'was quite glorious but i got bored of it after like a year or so of running it so now I'm building a DarkRP server

I had my dedicated server for free too, and it got taken away from me for some apparent reason. Still don't have it back after 2 months. Nevertheless, if I ever get myself a dedicated server again I'll just put up a "Public sandbox server" again. Obviously we need to restrict some things to keep the idiots out, but it's not like I'm going to make you wait 2 hours until you can use the tools. It's not that difficult to prevent kids from being kids. Just make props unspammable and add prop propprotection, I'd say that's all you need.

What I hate in gmod... Hmm... Ah. I hate it when tiny tots learn how to manipulate a mouse and keyboard, and to do so to open up Garry's Mod and join a server I am currently playing on. Now, when that happens, I try to be the good guy and see if they're a good kid or not. If they're not, which is about 80% of the time, I open up my instant killer E2 and kill the fuck out of him/her/it/both/N.A. Honestly, why do parents get their kids gmod? It's a waste of money to the parents of the spoiled brats who annoy the fuck out of them so they will get something they want. Humanity why.

They can play whatever they want but they just don't fit on servers which are intended for mature people who hit puberty already. And regardless the few exceptions, the majority of those people is still what I want to escape from when joining said servers...

Some are perfectly fine, only hit the push to talk key when they have something important to say, and they stay calm-ish when talking. The comments on it were fine. Except for people whining that they were unable to jump on top of the blocks. I had to tell loads of people to crouch jump. And I received this message. There was a war between Gangsters and thieves Vs. government, and I was an admin. I was just kinda sitting there and then some gun dealer comes in and kills one person, then attempts to kill more. I freeze him, and I tell him that he is a gun dealer, so he cannot help the CPs in this war. While interrupting me every second, calling me a retard and such he finally said "ok" and I let him go. 5 minutes later the war is over and a new one is started. I see the same gun dealer shooting the guy who started it, and the guy he killed calls RDM. I teleport them to a roof, and he said that he killed him because he started the war. I responded with "So you're helping CP again?" he replies with "No, you're a retard and a horrible admin, listen." Before he could say anything I tell him "Then why did you kill him?" and without answering me, he again calls me a retard and says that the only reason that I became an admin is because I knew the owner ( I've only talked to him atleast 10 times. ) so I kick him for rdm and admin disrespect. He comes back and whines in caps over OOC that he says I am a horrible admin and that I donated for it. After saying I was qualified and that other people wanted me to be an admin, he still went on about how I donated. A minute later I banned him, and the reason was a link to my approved admin application. Update: I just found him on a random server I went on.
