Shit that gets you mad in Gmod - Garry's Mod

It started as a way to get "non-serious" rp'ers off SeriousRP servers. What we have now is in part to the wave of "semi-serious" roleplays in 2007, and how most of the servers at the time were attempting to meet some middle ground between serious and lite rp. Failed miserably if that hasn't already become apparent. :v:

Another thing I've found out today, GMod doesn't save elastic state. Made some interesting mechanisms using boxes, sliders and elastic then after a save it seems to have just reset the tension.

Pretty casual stuff but in it you were forced to build your own structures instead of relying on mapper-placed doors and rooms and shops. The map we used was construct and the space it provided allowed for so much creativity over regular RP. I remember that in the gmod 12 days I would put a long railroad rail that bridged the cement bridge thing to the top of the garage on the opposing side, and tilt it 45 degrees. Then, I would mug some bloke and when the arrest warrant came out I simply ran up the concrete bridge, did a backwards jump on the rail, and surf to safety while I saw the helpless CP slip off the rail as they didn't know how to surf :v: It's been a long while since I've seen any buildRP though.

A few that come to mind are Canadian's Turf and pbrp.

When a player has high ping, they get banned by an admin. If I tell the admin "why?", the admin would reply "The server lags when you have high ping..".

Now i readed all the pages of this thread, like for one hour. Now its my turn to type what makes me mad in gmod, here is my list: 1)Most of servers are literally full of bad administrators, and glitchy things. 2)(Rarely) Downloading materials/overlays/tits.vtf 3)Dupes like:SUPAH MINECRUFT SLUNDERMUN NPC. NU MUVES PLS UPVOT 4)TF2 HEXES, Yeah, i know for some people its useful... But really? Why not to make just a one big pack, instead of putting every file as a new addon? 5)"Demos/Videos" Most useless thing that ever was in gmod, i am surprised that some people even downloads them. 6)Stealers of other's works. Little reedits doesn't makes you this addon's creator... Stop this bullshit. 7)Addons made by tutorials. AKA *RANDOMITEM* throwers. 8)Most of saves. "It is so important for us, to know your favourite pokemon collection" 9)"Graphic mods" Which are basically a few particles with lensflares. 10)Simple reskins. Same model, different skin. AMAZIN NUEW ADDUN. 11)VAC, because ENBseries. (Thats personal dislike.) Hurr, i guess its all. Oh, wait. No. 12)Main picture of addon, that doesn't shows addon itself. 13)If your ping is too big in gmod, you are fucked.(maybe even literally. Did anyone remembers RAPE SWEP?) 14)Addon conflicts. 15)Awesomium.exe spam in task manager while playing Gmod. 16)Connection timed out. (Rarely) 17)"Couldn't dispatch user message (19)"in console, each time you shoot with a gun. 18)MODEL CREATING A SCRIPT ERRORS! (How is that even possible?!) 19)Minecraft maps everywhere.. Its just annoying. 20)Fast zombie's screams stuck in audio... it is so "pleasuring":v: 21)Russian/Chinese/Japanese/ANYOTHERCOUNTRY people joining English speaking servers, knowing that its not allowed to use any other language except English. The End.

People who talk like the person above me...

I joined a DarkRP server that had rules to not build on the sidewalks or road but I didn't expect it to be so strict, considering a dispenser on the sidewalk for goods or putting unfrozen wooden barricades near a firefight wouldn't really toss someone's shit, even if it had a function to it's existence being there. I had a few run ins due to the mentioned and even for having it NOT EVEN IN THE WAY OF ANYONE. I even watched someone getting bitched at because one of their props went astray and was laying on the sidewalk. However, these issues didn't hinder me from enjoying the game because I made friends and sold guns using a neat method, even getting the pleasure of sharing money printers, but it was annoying as hell to explain that moving a contraption wasn't easy as pickup and drag over.

A admin just RDMed me in TTT even though I was proven innocent by the tester (he knew this too). After I killed him the following round I promptly received 2 slays :v:

me and 4 friends went on a pony rp server, voted our friend into the "princess" rank (equavelant to mayor), and then annexed part of the map as soviet russia. the rules of soviet russia was simple, any ponies found near the border were to be killed on sight. we killed at least 30 people before an admin used acf (for some reason a pony rp server has acf) to blow down out border. we promptly killed everyone who had entered before getting banned for rdm

I really just want a good old HL2:RP. I mean, i've been on here for a long time, I went from mine-dog to Shhrp, to TnB to others. And I found them all good, but now? All I just want is an RP server that's nice, HL2:RP is fun but Clockwork really restricts people, which is a shame because I think it has pretty good gadgets.

There's not enough RP servers that permit Expression 2 or Wiremod. If I remember right, it's possible to administrate the use of E2.

Shitty darkRP admins that see you building something interesting and pull you up on it because it violates some shitty building rule that only serves to restrict the tiny bit of RP DarkRP has.
