Shit that gets you mad in Gmod

- When an admin physguns my props
- When an admin magically physguns the one prop an entire frozen contraption is [B][I]parented[/I][/B] to, and then for whatever reason it falls through the map
- People that name themselves anything that is encased in "xX Xx" or any variation thereof. This goes for any game. Don't fucking do it.

I made a sweet-ass stall with security and implementation of the server's ATM Card system. I save it and made two copies of it (One in building, one in publication) before deleting everything.

Apparently I got banned for 6 hours for spraying [URL="http://puu.sh/a4Ptm.png"]this[/URL].
I was trying to throw my past instance behind a world prop so it was less visible considering an admin was banning a few other people for their sprays which were more lewd or just blunt lewd and I felt paranoid.

Build item in multiplayer.
Break the Advanced Duplicator.
Rebuild item in single-player.
Break the Advanced Duplicator.
Debug creation to prevent error.
Rejoin server.
Everyone is being idiots.
Get banned over a spray that I can't be assed to change.

It's 3AM already and I've been pretty much told to give up on my adventure of mass producing a store stall.

I joined a server and even though a few things downloaded it was still a mess of errors and missing textures. The MOTD banner recommended people download additional shit before pretty much anything worked. Really? You couldn't just bundle it all with the fucking server?

you can't do that with really big content packs though because 1. fastdl is pretty fucking slow despite the name and 2. it causes heaps of players to ragequit halfway through joining so your server ends up being empty

the lack of The Stalker servers. The ones that do exist all have the stalker chosen on the one who did most damage to it and it usually becomes one guy being stalker every other round. I would prefer servers that rolled.

No, if you do a lot of bullshit reports, their weight is going to become 0, making it not make addons appear as reported.

I honestly don't think that punishment is fitting. Because not only are false reports wrong, and in my case, false reports can get an addon and it's uploader banned, and lastly, wastes the time of the person that has to shift through the reports.

My solution to the problem? Don't clusterfuck the server with custom content that you'll only use 5% of the time. See: DarkRP servers where they have all the M9K weapons but only the pistols are accessible to players with average wealth

My philosophy is to cut down on custom content as much as possible and only use it when you absolutely need to.

It's fine. I normally prefer to do this kind of stuff so I know what does what and wire it accordingly. It's just a pain to find that the Avd Duplicator is pretty buggy even after it being around for years. Hell, one of the dupes I was trying to do would work if materials where not applied, but would simply not work if it did.

I might take note of this and try with a stall with no colors and apply colors when I pop on.

Since I'm going on, the machines you see feature a card reader from the server to allow people to use their ATM cards to buy items inside the machine. Pick locking the machine will trigger a alarm.

Yes I thought you were since I remember the model from Arcbank so am guessing the server uses that :P , 99% of the time when the adv dupe does that it's because the server itself not the adv dupe.

I like BoSchitt for his machinimas, not his lets play stuff. The only time I ever watched someone playing a game was a non-commentary HL2 walkthrough, just because I couldn't stand Ravenholm myself.

Back to thread. Did I already name DarkRP servers that, soon as they have TDM cars or whatever like that installed, are flooded by kids driving over everything and everyone, no matter who and where and why, just like the server was a massive bumper car fest...?

It's weird, but it's just not the server. I tried to remake a stall in singleplayer with as much as I had on hand to have Avd Dupe break still, but strangely not when I glitched it to not save textures.

I hate how most car packs for darkrp feature tons and tons of supercars, since it's darkrp the map is obviously downtown, and you just can't use a fast car on that map. Especially since your throttle is either 0 or 100%.
