I have had my fair share of good and bad moments in Garry's Mod. If I had to talk about a bad moment, I'd have to say when I found out that a really well know member of a clan I was in had committed suicide. The worst part about it was that a few people, including myself, kept checking our Steam friends list for about two weeks... Hoping our buddy would log back in, and it'd all be just some fucked up joke. I reflected on the fact that, on the internet, you share moments with thousands of ghosts, if you will. All of these ghosts only have a voice to resonate with you, and when one of them disappears, that voice is gone. You may only know things like their real life name, maybe a few photos of them on the internet, and the memories you have of them. I feel odd knowing that some of the best and most friendly people I have ever met are these ghost. A few of which I have taken the time to meet up with in real life, and just hang out for a day to fuck around and have fun. But knowing the feeling I had for those two weeks... Just wanting your friend to come back and talk to you, it just leaves you empty.
Dude thats kind of sad..... Why did he do it in the first place? Plus whats your steam again I need to add you on my main accounts/
No one is sure. It was kinda the reason most of us thought it was some sick joke. And my name is Joey Skylynx on steam.
Stuff like this just doesn't happen anymore. I would think now-days all of the involved players would be permanently banned for RDM, FailRP, ect.
I dunno about that, my server has only been frequented for the last 2 days or so and I've already been through 2 hobo revolts, a police manhunt through the sewers for a dangerous serial killer who would use multiple lairs and set booby traps to catch us unawares and a fight against a cult who were kidnapping civilians and holding them in their massive fortress until the cops c4ed through their front wall and killed/arrested them all. Yeah yeah i know I'm blabbing on about my own server but frankly any brand new server is often the best place to go to see this kind of emergent stuff happen, you've gotta get in before their rule list makes it to 3 whole pages and they have 1 admin for every 2 players cos once they get like that their admins get into the habit of swinging the banhammer at the slightest sign of anybody actually having fun on their server.
I remember playing OCRP (Orange Cosmos Roleplay) back in the day, that shit was so much fun. Both the community and the players were great, even though the bans were very harsch. The gamemode itself was a lot like PERP, but felt a lot more playerdriven, people crafted guns and opened up a booth at the gas station and sold them for a profit, those who raided city of it's sweet economy and those who grew/cooked different kind of drugs. A scenario i especially remember was on the evocity_v2d map, it had a one-way waterplant where I and a bunch of guys had set up a base where we grew drugs, eventually police car of 2 came by and wanted to do a check, we shot at them a bit later SWAT trucks, ambulances and cop cars arrived, they used the cars as cover, tried to negotiate but it all turned into a huge gunfight. We, the gangsters eventually won when their cars started exploding and they ran out of men. [editline]29th June 2014[/editline]
-Sad Story-
Man, that reminds me. A whole bunch of year back, I used to play on this really awesome RP server. The guy I was playing with was a regular, he was there very often along with me. One night everyone else left and only we were on playing on the server and having fun, all of a sudden in the middle of it he goes afk. I wait around for like an hour or two for him to come back. Eventually he just disconnects. I sent him a friend request on steam, even though he hadn't set up his steam profile. To this day, the friend request waits, so it has done for years. He still hasn't set up his profile. I really wonder what happend.
Its the middle of the night. I own the desert part of rp_bangclaw and called it, The Outlands. A place without laws and order. One night, we decided to kidnap the president, take him to the outlands and demand 100,000 dollars for his release. It was about 5 minutes after we took him before we told everyone. Instantly, cops came rushing to the front door of our town with battering rams and weapons. Every cop was mowed down as soon as they went through the doorway. 5 minutes later, we demanded that a citizen were to deliver the money. To our surprise, a citizen did come with a check that was worth $100,000. We let him in, and our security guard patted him down. Guess what we found? A pistol, a shotgun, a lockpick and a keypad cracker. We instantly shot him in the face. And it turns out, the check wasn't even signed to us, so we couldn't use it.Too much time passed and we ended up killing the president. Cops were gone cause of NLR, and throughout the situation, many admin sits were called. It was a good day.
TL;DR - Kidnapped mayor, demanded cash. Citizen was sent in, was armed to rescue the president, got pwnt and eventually the kidnapping ended with the president dead.
Bit of a time ago, I'm going around as gun-dealer. These two thieves come up to me asking to do some friendly business, I simply agree and follow them. As this was around when I first started playing DarkRP I thought 'hey, nothing could go wrong here, i'll gain some profit and they'll gain some guns'. Well yeah so they take me up to their base, tell me to get into the corner as the other guy adverts hostage. Now I'm their slave and they're forcing me to spawn in guns for them. Luckily for me the door was left unlocked so some civilian and hitmen walked into the room as well to watch what was occuring, as this happened the first guy took the civilian as hostage and told the hitman to leave. Now they started organizing some little minigame/test where we had to find a prop in the house, and whoever found it first got to leave, whilst the other had the death-wish. So as soon as they did the countdown I started frantically searching around the house, looking for any prop which I had not noticed before when I entered the house. As I was sprinting around the house, looking desperately the other guy calls out "I GOT IT". I suddenly realized my fate had been sealed. The thieves called us back to the first room, told the other guy to stand back and got me to stand in the corner as the second thief approached me. He asked me if I had any last words, whilst at the same time the hitman came back to see what was happening. As this happened the civilian started shouting out gibberish to grab the attention of the thieves, which worked. As they were distracted the hitman came up to me, I pressed E on him, got him to put a hit on the first thief, he'd have the ability to kill the 2nd thief as it'd be counted as self-defence, anyway I got him to accept the hit and I told the thief this exact phrase. "hey, my last words are..." "MODERFUKUR SOMBODY FUK YU BIK" straight away the commotion began to occur in the room as the hitman opened fire with his G3A3, almost instantly killing the first thief. The second thief, realizing what had just happened infront of him, turns around whilst un-holstering his weapon and dies within the same time it took for the first thief to die. As all of this was happening I sprinted for my life out of the room, screaming in my mic, along with the civilian. As we ran out I told him to follow me into the sewers where we'd hide for the time being. Around 5 minutes had elapsed where we were basically reassured that we were safe. TL;DR - Gun dealer gets taken hostage, gets put in minigame with other hostage, has his fate sealed, mystery hitman comes in to save the day secretly, big gunfight occurs and gun dealer and civilian escape to safety.
Hopefully within the next week or so, I'll go about revising and posting my old Honest Merchants story. It's another DarkRP story, but it's about my time being a "Lord of War" in 2009/2010, on an Australian DarkRP server where I would sell tanks, artillery, and several other illegal weapons and contraptions to mingebag undergrounds and shit.
I was playing DarkRP once, and I was a Citizen. I pet( dog ) came up to me and asked if I could be his owner. I said sure why not, what harm could it do? Needless to say, he asked me to follow him to an alley behind a building because that's where "he lived" only to be met with a Pedobear hiding behind a dumpster who then proceeded to have rape me a lot..
I was playing perp a few years ago. I got the genetics to make some guns and I sold them to some guy who owned a shop who sold them for a ridiculous price. I made about 300k within the hour because so many people bought his shit and I made a profit for myself. Next thing I know I was banned for using a money exploit because I made so much money in so little time :3
I remember back when I spent a lot of time on darkrp I used to to go servers and get people to point at admins with their physguns. Literally had a whole server on this one lone admin's ass one time and he was actually getting upset, it was fucking glorious but I felt kind of bad for pestering him at the same time I also literally just ignore admins when they try to talk to me and they just let me go 80% of the time Also, 2012 PERP dance parties

I was incredibly proud of myself, and was finally able to play the beta of Pulsar Effect RP 0.6! What a good time for me! And of course this is where our story begins! After SGC Naval Play has outlawed aircraft from being used, and I was promptly banned for using a slow moving biplane, I had decided to go and play on some Australian DarkRP servers with my new internet connection. The first server I had joined, I cannot remember the name of, but it was clear that this server was one of the first DarkRP servers experimenting with Wiremod and Advanced Duplicator. Oh that sounds nice, I thought as a builder who had quiet a few dupes that I could bring over, and on entry this was the case. I spawned a really gorgeous wooden store that everyone commented on, and I started selling ammo to players. My time selling ammo was pretty basic for the most part. It was just me taking orders, picking up money, and handing people boxes of ammo. Eventually though, I came into contact with a mafia group named, and I kid you not, The Sheep Shagz. It was a group of players from New Zealand, all of which were involved in a multiple server mafia alliance of New Zealanders and Tasmanians. This group from the alliance was clearly from New Zealand, and they were going around the server discriminating anyone who was not from Australia or New Zealand. At the time they came on, I had a soar throat and was able to mimic an Australian accent, so for the moment... I was safe. The bogans known as the Sheep Shagz though had found a group of players from what I believe was Japan. They went about calling them "Yella Nips" and "Suzuki Rice Niggers" and went about mocking them, constantly attacking them, and putting up rope posters of the stereotypical asian sitting on a katana. In other words, slanted eyes, rice hat, buckteeth, and formal peasant dress... While sitting on a katana with a dick shaped handle. The Japanese players obviously took offense to this, and started to react to it, but the admins on the server at the time were paid off by the Sheep Shagz, and refused to do a damn thing about it. The Sheep Shagz then went about forcing the mayor into putting any Non-Australian player into an internment camp where players would throw bugbait at them from. This discrimination against Americans, Japanese, Taiwan folk, Vietnamese, Aboriginals... All went on for about nine hours until one of the non-fucktard admins came in and dealt with it. The Sheep Shagz had been banned for a week, and the server went back to normal for the time being. My soar throat healed, and peopled had discovered that I was actually an American[fast-talking British-Southerner accent.. yay], and once the week was up... The Sheep Shagz were back. At first they started discriminating against the people that got them banned, and started to collect weapons and such. All of their attacks were namely coordinated against the Japanese and Vietnamese players, and most of the admins once again were bought out, or didn't want to deal with it. This progressed until they finally decided that they were going to start extorting businesses, and mine was the first on the list. By this point I had built a metal house, but thanks to props costing money, I could not afford a proper wiremod safe made from metal, so I had to salvage wooden props from a nearby hobo house. The Sheep Shagz at first sent one of their "intimidation" which was a twelve year old kid who threatened to kill me in his squeaky little voice. It was adorable. I told him, "Do us a favor darling, and go fuck yourself" which he clearly wasn't all that happy about, and started to rage about how the mafia was going to shag me like a sheep(lol). So as I call the Police over and give them the details of what's about to happen, I see three guys rush out of the sewers, two armed with AK-47s, one carrying a suitcase. The only thought in my mind was "What the fuck are they doing..?" and then the men armed with the AK-47's cut down the Police Officers, and ran up to my front desk, and shouted, "You have three seconds to give us all the fucking money or we'll kill you!" now I replied, "Like I would tell the Welsh my friend... Go fuck a sheep." and from this they want full rage mode, and attempted to shoot up my shop. Thankfully my props were angled in such a way where the bullets just bounced off and did jackshit, and I kept telling them to go fuck a sheep. After about three minutes of this constant insult throwing and gun chattering fun time, the man with the suitcase went back over to his suitcase, opened it up, and pulled out a wire igniter and wire explosive. He took the wire igniter, and set my shop on fire, and then took the wire explosive, lit it on fire, tossed it toward my vault, and all three of them ran to the sewer. I quickly realized that my chances were fucked, and I high tailed it to the Nexus where I knew I would be safe, and watched as my shop slowly burned down, and then BOOM. Every prop was thrown into the air, still burning, my ammo boxes and money burned and deleted. I was dumbfounded, shocked, and couldn't believe what I just saw. It was my first experience with Wiremod being used for destruction and killing outside of GCombat Tanks, and the loss of my own home and shop really did not help all that much! Well as the Sheep Shagz took over the server and began forcing players into concentration camps for their Australian-New Zealander version of the Final Solution, it became evident that I should get out of there and go to another server. After looking at the serverlist... you know, when it was good!... I quickly found another Australian server named Chupanthingy, or from what I gathered that is some Portuguese or Filipino word for "Suck my cock" Either way though! It was a new server, and I was ready to start over again, but this time, I refused to let mafia families take over the servers I enjoyed, and started building Wiremod contraptions similar to the ones they created, with the intent of stopping the mafia families from ever becoming a problem on Chupanthingy. At first, my work was secretive. With the help of some fellow builders, I would construct cannons, item teleporters, automatic gunshops, and landmines. All of which would only be sold to mingebag undergrounds that aided my "cause". It took me roughly three months to become fully established on Chupanthingy, but when I finally was, I had gathered a group of roughly twenty enforcers, three cell leaders, and myself at the top. It was the only mafia family not apart of the Mafia Family Alliance that had taken over every other Australian RP community. This situation had entered a point where any attempts by other mafia groups to send scouts was met with brutal and quick disposal via a sympathetic admin team which had its owner, Stabby, in full approval of our anti-MFA operations. We were finally able to maintain control over the two servers that Chupanthingy owned, and began to fortify the server against any attempts by other mafia families to enter the server. Players were not be extorted, but were only asked to alarm the group now dubbed "The Honest Merchants" of where mafia scouts or mafia setups were being made. As this went on, Stabby had came down to us and had a discussion with us about a current issue. As it turns out, Stabby had made an alliance with another server owner who had owned three minor Australian servers, no larger then 30 players each, and that man was starting to have a problem with bribed admins who would let the
I am back! I fixed some hardware issues and got my spirits back up. You guys still want to hear the story of General Higgins? Or do you guys want to hear about the love triangle of Heady, or even the Chronicles of the Conehead Wars?

Been telling some stories on DarkRP servers, and I have been picking up some new tales while playing Garry's Mod. Sorry for the bump, but would anyone care to hear some new stories?
Been telling some stories on DarkRP servers, and I have been picking up some new tales while playing Garry's Mod. Sorry for the bump, but would anyone care to hear some new stories?
You bet, you always have bloody interesting stories. Speaking of stories, I might as well tell one of mine.
Janitor Tinbe It was SCP RP Server, and I was, well, a Janitor. I liked that job because you could get on so many places inside the facility under the guise of cleaning up. And I was on a bit creative mood, so I made a simple mop. At first, it was just HL2 pipe prop with a recolored newspaper (some texture in Material tool that changed prop's color and texture to bare blue) stuck on the end of it. But I was really bugged by the non-textured/-modeled end of the pipe. So what did I do? I stuck a blue skull (HL2 skull with the same blue texture the newspaper had) on the end of it. I also finetuned it a bit so it stayed upright when unfrozen (didn't matter much since I just turned the props' gravity properties off :v:), and simply mopped the place. Since D-personnel died a lot, there was a lot of cleaning to do. But my mop was just a bundle of props, it could never truly clean bloodstains and the like. For some reason, it was actually quite fun to slide mop across walls and floors, and security even complimented me on it (and some dude said how sad I looked, cleaning stuff all by myself). I did, however, "retire" at some point and left the server, but during my last days, I noticed other people started to copy the design of my mop (I was quite flattered). Hell, I even taught some fellow Janitor(s) how to make it. So remember boys and girl, if you see a mop that's made from HL2 pipe and newspaper, you know it's derived from me.

Mafias and Mercenaries In times of war, most people look at their enemies or try to count their enemies, but for me... I try to prevent them in the first place. It was November 6th, 2014, when I was contacted by a man name Drunkpoto on Fearless's forums. He had told me that his mafia family in FearlessRP was under threat from two groups known as the Estleback Corporation and Shadow Associates Agency and that he needed my help as a lawyer to at the very least bring some favorable terms to the table. At first, I agreed as I hadn't done any legal cases on FearlessRP in about two years, and this seemed like a perfect time to stretch my arms and legs, and do some legal stuff. At first, I wrote up a massive legal case in the hopes of just preventing any conflict from occurring. You see, my time as a member of Tiger Force, as well as my time in the 2011 Bouncer War, had softened me up a great deal, and I was hopeful of trying to avoid any war from occurring on Fearless whatsoever. The first case I wrote up was mainly challenging the first list of demands sent by the Estleback Corporation to the mafia family which could be summed up as being ludicrous and outside the realm of server rules. The list of demands as I remember them were $30,000 per each member of the clan, the clan disbands, and the leader accepts that he'll be banned. As you imagine, this was way out of the realm of normal roleplay, and this case was seeming more like the admins using their powers and abilities to try and strike fear in what they considered "Aggressive" clans. For myself, I wasn't going to allow this as a faithful member of the Anti Fruitcake Brigade and I also could never see myself doing the same thing under any grounds of being a sensible human being. It was from this that I sent my first attempt at a counteroffer. The clan would not close, it'd be under supervision from a group known as FUMUKU International, each clan member would pay $1000. Well I sent this message over, and they outright refused and sent the same list of demands with a new edit. The edit? Accept or we declare war. Wait... What? I was really confused with this as at first I thought it was just going to be a simple case of us going back and forth trying to find favorable terms for both organizations, but the group primarily ran by admins known as Estleback, was not gonna have any of this and was gearing for war. Through out the entire day, I kept sending countless offers in the hopes of keeping peace on the server, as you can imagine I was hopeful that a so-called "Passive RP" group would be more then willing to accept these generous offers to keep peace within the community, but as you'd imagine... They didn't want any of it. After one day of bitter arguing back and forth, they finally closed dialog and told us that they are declaring war, and the war will be on the primary server. At the case had been open for the entire public to see, everyone was in outright protest across the multiple channels of the server. People were greatly upset about the whole situation, seeing it as a failure of the "Passive RP" groups to actually do any passive roleplay. As time went on the man named Drunkpoto, who lead the mafia group, had contacted me and asked me what he can do in this situation. At first, I realistically had no idea. It then occurred to me though that with the ongoing protests in the server, that I could plausibly feed off this, and have the war shut down before it even starts. You see, my idea was that with protests ongoing, I could simply encourage protests to take place infront of the Estleback-SAA headquarters and probably could encourage an incident that would lead to the Estleback-SAA alliance to attack innocent roleplayers and have the server protest against the war in general. This plan was set in motion and we quickly organized several protests infront of the Estleback-SAA building which had effectively stopped any traffic from going in or exitting the building. The government at the time had been ran by a group of players who were friendly to the cause of trying to stop the war, and they sent police officers to monitor the situation. For about three hours, protesters chanted anti-war slogans and tossed fish, an item seen as a source of passive roleplay, at the members of Estleback-SAA. Some of the chants went from peaceful "Stop the war!" to more dramatic chants calling for the members of Estleback-SAA to resign from their positions as admins for promoting conflicts in the server that'll lead to endless bloodshed. For a time it seemed to be working as the Estleback-SAA guys were retreating from their wall, but then something... Odd happened. A member of the SAA had joined the rebel team and decided to go against the current standing government. He went to the main government building and attempted to raid the president. All though he was able to kill the Vice President, he was unable to kill the main president. This sparked outrage in the server and the protests amplified infront of the main headquarters of the Estleback-SAA. I would have to say the protests went from something like five strong to fifteen strong. Players were respectively pissed off about what just happened. Finally after four hours of chants and cries, the Estleback-SAA decided to resign from the server, and didn't come back on till the day of the war... In this time though some other things were going down behind the scenes. One day after the protests, it was time to start organizing for the actual war. The idea is rather simple, the groups come in and simply say where they'll be based and what time the actual conflict will take place. We all agreed it'd be on the tenth and 2 o' clock, and that was about it really. Few hours after this agreement though, something happened. With the protests still ongoing outside of any Estleback-SAA members house, one of the Estleback guys contacted me and asked if we could put the conflict on the event server. I simply said I don't see why we should, lets keep it on the normal server. The guy disappeared. Strange I thought to myself as every conflict before this war had taken place in the main roleplay servers. It was considered a matter of honor really and it was to provide that if any affairs occur on the server, they should be solved on the server. That's the way it has always been. That's the way it should always be. Well... At least that's what we thought. As the protests just kept raging off and on through out the days, I had been working behind the scenes to get them more intensified and if anything convince people to never let the war happen. At the same time though I had decided to go do some more... Undercover operations. Through several contacts, I decided to visit some friends in other RP servers... Primarily, DarkRP. Now for most of you who don't know, I love mercenaries. It's one of my favorite type of groups to get into contact with when anything might be going down in the servers I play on. The servers I mostly visited though were servers I knew for a fact had very mingey players. Like people who would clearly have experience in fighting organized and authority type forces. Well I first stopped off at PonyRP, I already knew a few anti-pony mercenaries that would fight with me. As you'd imagine, most DarkRP'ers regardless of their background fight for certain reasons or another. The gamemode being centered around moneyprinters ensures this. The one thing which would come as odd to anyone who doesn't pay attention to the more underground groups is that some DarkRP'ers act against authoirty in their own communities, and they tend to make the best mercenaries because they do not fear rules. The Anti-Pony guys from PonyRP were apart of several human insurrection groups, and the idea that in another server somewhere, the admins intended on wiping out another group akin to theirs was almost a call of a holy war. Upon gather four mercenaries from PonyRP, I then went to a few other communities including HL2RP, normal DarkRP servers, and some propkilling servers. All these players made up Squad Xeno of the mafia group. At fi
