I saw that in the server list. He made it so that his servers go under a "gamemode" called AERO or some shit (not even an actual gamemode. He just made it so his servers could have a dedicated category), and of course since he has like 100+ bots in each server his "gamemode" (btw he has filler servers that are just maxed out with bots) jumps to the top of the list, giving him publicity. I don't know if this is common but it seems like a load of shit to me.

Just rename your gamemode folder and stuff to "ags" if you want to appear in that list.
If you make enough servers it will overwrite his Aero category with the gamemode name that is more common, not populated. I did this for Underdone for a week to see if he would remove the bots, which it seems he did not.

See that the yet again anti DarkRP brigade is well & truly out in force on this forum with the sensational topic header “Worst gmod servers" started by Declan17.
If it wasn't for DarkRP No one would have the privelege of the many prop protection scripts that have been made from it (FPP being the most popular), the game would be immensely in popular. It doesn't take a genius to see that the game mode brings in a lot more people than the other game modes out there.
You ignore the innovations and ideas that have sprung for this game mode and if it wasn't for DarkRp , many of the famous coders we know today (Aritzcracker, vcmod creator) Would have never shown their genius coding to the gmod world!
I've been developing the gamemode for many years now. Staffed on some of the major servers and helped create new content for it. •Really makes me sick when I see stupid childish remarks like “Darkrp is the cancer of gmod ” by FP members & really wonder why myself & other volunteers bother.•
If it wasn't for DarkRP the problem of administration abuse wouldn't go away . It would just seep further into other game modes and we all known sandbox, TTT and other game modes staff can be just as bad!
If you really want change within the DarkRp don’t just sit there in you cosy armchairs running down the hundreds volunteers that get things done - get off your arses, make changes on git hub & go to servers or volunteer for the many staff and development jobs on offer. I f it was not for the hundreds of volunteers the gamemode could not function.•

I think people follow the stereotype of DarkRP from the many DarkRP servers that used to exist back in 2009 or so that did have Administration that was run by young teenagers. I mean hey, I was in the same boat back in 2005 all those years ago, and I'm sure many follow it because of that time.
Perhaps because it's so popular, you're bound to get servers that are like that, and then you have servers that run it really well. I personally hate these kinds of threads, since it's generally people who have been banned from servers for doing something wrong posting on them. When you see all these threads about bad HL2RP servers, you get one or two communities stuck in the spotlight from several people who have been banned or who just dislike them as a bandwagon.

There is no innovation in darkrp. It's just running around with guns with rampant crime and random shootouts in the streets. Also stupid money printers. People hate darkrp for a reason.
