Apologies about the bump, but I just found out about this. Pretty pissed off that this happened. There was a lot of good stuff on the site you couldn't get anywhere else. (I was just heading to grab some things from there a few minutes ago.)

I hope sometime a backup will be restored (someone is fucking stupid if there wasn't any backup at all), or most of the content re-uploaded somewhere else. That was a LOT of stuff to lose out of the blue.

(Also, I find the Workshop to be crap. Half of the time searches turn up blank unless you refresh the page a dozen times, plus the points others have mentioned in this thread.)

Apparently there are no backups. So I guess someone tripped and hit Garry's large red "DELETE EVERYTHING" button

probably have about 5 GB of addons that I downloaded since 2009. Chances are with enough people on the site, we could recompile most of the files.
