Your link and website are dead so I can't read why but for something small like this there really isn't a reason to have to pay for a cert with let's encrypt. Technically SSL costs a bit CPU-Wise but it's pretty negligible for something that, IMO, is pretty essential. When self hosting one can really easily set up a cron job to renew it for free forever.
Not being mean or anything, I really like the idea but... The page's down and I don't want my playerbase bombed with injection attacks T_T
