UMM theres no exploit for gmod that can load DLL and such... you are lying and skid , IAC
The thing about exploits is that you can prove that they exist, but you can never completely prove that they don't exist.
@MeepDarknessM Ah I see. Times change I suppose. Well I did mention in my post that what I know is how he was 4 years ago.
Wow, you seem like the type of guy that would justify shady shit like the CIA and NSA. I want access to whatever brainwashing tactics that HeX has.
Well in this case it's more about not stabbing a former best friend in the back. I just wanted to post some details on how I remember him and some of the thought process behind HAC (afaik). I have to agree that ruining someone's computer and personal files is taking it too far. I can appreciate the config file humor though. Perhaps someone should make a client-side guard plug-in to keep your computer safe from HAC's destructive attempts. ;)
Perhaps someone should make a client-side guard plug-in to keep your computer safe from HAC's destructive attempts. ;)
So you're saying we should run some kind of clientside code to stop the system that attempts to stop us from running clientside code? Gosh, that sounds a bit like an unfair advantage against other players.
cake gave me 1337 memory reado exploits i am god nao [editline]1st June 2016[/editline] doesnt GMOD use VBScript and not Lua?´, lol everyone on here is dumb af

This is a fun thread to read :v:
Hex will ban you for even having something that mentions the word hack in your lua folder
How retarded do those filename reads go? If I had something in the lua that was something like "Garrys_Shack.lua" would it pick out "hack" in "Shack" and ban me?

It doesn't ban for shack but it does check for it.
"shaklin", "shack", "shake", "wizard",
I may be talking out of my ars here but if you cant inject dll's with lua or anything of the sort. what made the *Cough Cough* virus work?
I may be talking out of my ars here but if you cant inject dll's with lua or anything of the sort. what made the *Cough Cough* virus work?
an exploit in the source engine IIRC
didnt the cough virus use JAvascript to spready
didnt the cough virus use JAvascript to spready
nah, they did a gui in visual basic to help it spread
-snip wrong thread-
it deleted my processor once so i replaced it with a rat with electrodes stuck into its brain
how many ghz is that? You should tape 4 rats together and make a quad core.
how many ghz is that? You should tape 4 rats together and make a quad core.
i tried that but they all chewed through each others electrode connections and escaped now the local rat population appears to understand advanced calculus and mobile phones are starting to go missing all over the city, hope the government has a plan in place to deal with ratnet when it goes sentient
Intel and AMD is said to be investing in this technology
I'd be incredibly upset if I joined a server and it overwrote the hard work I used to do with my convenience scripts because it decided I was a cheater. First of all, anyone rummaging through my scripts need to stop. My files are my files, stay out. Second of all, not all cheats are created equally. In my opinion, bypasses are the actual badness that need to be worried about and solved with bans. Sure, bans can be bullshit but at least it's not manipulating my property and hard work. Someone being biased and banning based on personal intent is different than someone being biased rummaging through my computer - at least someone wrongfully banning me is a favor as I won't have to join their shitty server again.
Then it steals your hacks (lua files) so they can be reverse engineered. Finally your config file is modified so that script kiddies don't join other servers (to help protect your server indirectly)
It's gotta be sad for people like you to justify your antics by doing things no one else is asking for. If I wanted your banned players to stay off of my server, I'd ask for their SteamID's. You and others trying to "protect" other people's servers is just a power trip over an entire game. And also, I've had friends who hacked but weren't assholes about it. I've had hilarious games of Suicide Barrels with speedhacking friends, and I've had people help server owners reverse engineer hacks. Wrecking their installation and trying to keep them off of every server isn't warranted and is overreaching. The people doing that are actually worse than the hackers. Ban them and move on with your life
As a server-owner and/or Lua developer you have the right (and a duty, if you ask me) to ban any hacker from the servers you control. [sp]Crashing clients is dickish but atleast doesn't do damage and also can be hilarious[/sp] That is it. There is where your rights end. Right there, shove them out the door, done. Anything that goes even into the direction of config-rewriting or data manipulation of files inside and ESPECIALLY outside of the garrysmod-folder is against the Garry's Mod ToS and likely against national law. No-one is to go full vigilante, you are not the cheater police, you are not an Gmod-wide Anticheat and I don't care how much you think you are protecting others or punishing cheaters, your boundaries end at your server, deal with it! There is absolutely no justification, whatsoever to go further then making cheaters leave your server. This doesn't even go into what should be counted as a cheat or hack, lemme just sum it up for you, Henry00. Some 'hacks' are just like tools, you can use a hammer as a utility for constructing something beautiful or as a weapon for murder, how tools are used is defined by the wielder.
maybe you can bypass his file rewriting by making ur cfg and data folder as read-only, i dont think that he will be able to rewrite it if ur folders are selected as read-only
Sorry to derail this thread even more - but the only things I've learned from this thread is that some people like to use big words like 'heuristics' to make their shit sound more complex than it really is (checking if someone is setting their view angles? wow, that must be some advanced shit!) The second thing I've learned is that everything is true as long as it's shown in logs (including the fact that you were cheating). Ladies? [editline]7th June 2016[/editline] Also...
I am the mysterious programmer that joined United Hosts Deathmatch
To quote Filthy Frank - "How does the inside of your colon smell, because you're pretty far up there"
