There were quite a few different errors. Usually a different one every time. And yes, it was GMod 9.0.0 from this pack.
GMod has had multiplayer functionality ever since GMod 4.

I didn't mean that, I meant that I didn't know that anybody had set up servers for the particular fixed versions in this pack.
I know a lot about the history of GMod, hence the existence of this pack.

I was in my own server. :rolleyes:
I know a lot more about the pack than Banana Lord does
Sorry XD but I made the pack so yeah. I was just making sure people knew whose pack it is.
:)
But I never got any response, can anyone verify the speeds?
Hey guys, GMod is broken for the moment! This pack could be the only way to satisfy your addiction! DOWNLOAD IT NOW! Lawl.
But seriously, I want to thank all you guys for supporting me with this successful pack which has become a true contribution to the GMod community. Thanks, guys!
I can't play 9.0.4c?
I cant play any of them!
Now that we have accurate information about your issue, we can help you.
''Preparing to launch Garry's Mod 9.0.1'' I get that for a few seconds, then the message box closes and nothing happens :frown:
Oh god , can't wait to fire up 9.04b...

Works for me...what are your specs?
Wow, GMod9 is alive! (Probably just because GMod10 is broken atm :P).

It's probably trying to launch in a resolution that is not your monitor's native resolution. Add "-fullscreen (or -window) -width <your monitor's native width> -height <your monitor's native height>" to your launch options. For example: -fullscreen -width 1280 -height 1024
I have the same problem with some hl2 mods. Also Gamma none of the things worked that you suggested :/
great post

Well everything's working for me. It's not an engine problem because the mods use an old version of the engine (and they have to), and the fact that other Source mods don't work properly for you suggests that this is a problem with your system.
If you don't have the Source SDK Base 2006 installed, install it. If it is installed, then try reinstalling it. Also, do post your system's specs. They could give a clue.

Yeah, even when it wasn't broken there were some running servers. I might go and play GMod 9.0.4c now actually :)
EDIT:
Uh, on GMod 9.0.4c (from my pack), there are no servers listed. DrogenViech, what version are you using?
I can't get anything above 9.0.1 to show on my steam list. :argh:

Move some of the other versions out. You don't need them all at once. This is a glitch I can't fix. It's something to do with Steam.
I only have the Gmod 9 versions in my source mods.

I use 9.0.4c, too, make sure your gameinfo.txt looks like this:
"GameInfo"
{
game "Garry's Mod 9"
title "Garry's Mod"
title2 "Nine"
"developer" "TEAM GARRY"
"developer_url" "http://gmod.garry.tv/"
"icon" "v"
"manual" "http://gmwiki.garry.tv"
hidden_maps
{
"test_speakers" 1
"test_hardware" 1
}
FileSystem
{
SteamAppId 215 // This will mount all the GCFs we need (240=CS:S, 220=HL2).
ToolsAppId 211 // Tools will load this (ie: source SDK caches) to get things like materials\debug, materials\editor, etc.
SearchPaths
{
Game |gameinfo_path|.
Game hl2
}
}
}
Is it just me or is there no noclip?
By the way still no servers.

Noclip isn't bound, you have to bind it yourself. Also, follow the tutorial that DrogenViech just gave (in the post above yours).

I couldn't do this myself for the pack because there are lots of versions which have to be distinguished from each other. Otherwise, you'd have seven indistinguishable 'Garry's Mod 9' mods listed in your Library...
I can't find his server I fixed my error and i'm using his game info. Help?
I must join a server as soon as possible.
I can not live without GMOD!

Are you sure you're using 9.0.4c?

Use GMod SVN or something.

Yeah.
Yeah.
But I do not want to.
I was exaggerating in hope for a quicker fix.
Oh well. Steam GMod has been fixed now so play that. Not very good advertising for the pack, I know, but oh well.

Did you try -window?
