pretty sure you're hosting on a dsl connection too, that's a great idea.
I threw up a cheap 8 player ACF server once and it was full every day for weeks. It had nothing to do with an attractive name or my friends, and everything to do with offering something the competition didn't have: an environment catered to adults with a sense of humor. Rather than make a huge rule list or try to play it cool ("Rule 1: don't be a dick") but have a ton of unwritten rules, my server had no rules and I simply counted on people to communicate and be responsible, like any adult. This proved exceedingly popular and I can count on one hand the amount of people I had to outright ban because they just caused far more grief than they were worth.
You can host anything you want and be successful, but if you choose something overpopulated (like DarkRP) you need to offer something the others don't. Whether that's some cool module or a certain style of community, you need to be different to succeed.
You also need to ask yourself "why am I hosting a server?" Too many people do it in some horribly misguided attempt at fame, or because they think "the other servers/admins are shit so I'll make my own server, with hookers and blackjack!" These people almost always fail. Running a server will net you neither prestige nor power, which if you haven't realized yet you most certainly will when some dickhead 12 year old American skiddy drops a DDOS on your server for hours at a time. If you're in it for money, prepare to be disappointed: you likely won't even make the server payment each month.
So that leaves two other major motivators. Either you just want a server for your friends where the public is also welcome... or you have a geniune idea that you want to share with the public. Both fantastic motivators that will get your head in the right place.

My Goals From The Beginning Were To Create A Great Server To my Friends & the public and i got everyone addon possible to my TTT server but with good download time too i have WorkshopDL for workshops which is faster than fastDL and FastDL to the custom stuff....Both of these goals didn't took me far yet like u says... Hope you are right tho cause that is what i really want !
If FastDL is slower than the workshop then you're doing something wrong.
what a supporting lovely place thx really
Woah there buddy. This is a supporting, lovely place. The problem is you come through putting no effort into your posts, abusing grammar, and communicating like you're a solid 14 years old.
See how old this first post was? Why did you respond to such an old thread? Even when I was 12 I knew that was a foul thing to do. GMod is a bit too dead for your new server to thrive bud, especially with this effort.
My tip would be, bring a few friends on and when people come make sure that you are actually roleplaying and making the server fun. Dont treat new players like aliens but try to make them enjoy their stay.

"High quality"

Atleast run something like XenForo (Like me) or some forum system. Learn how to code. High Quality is not throwing a bunch of addons into a jam-packed server and saying "HEY LOOK AT MY AWESOME SERVER!"
Learn how to code. Then make custom coded stuff. Sure get pointshop, don't make your own :P but make a custom pointshop. Like a pointshop skin, a custom pointshop layout.
Be custom, not just have some 100 addon server

I am also having trouble launching my server, and I got on here and people still say the same things. I think you need to have patience and wait for people to join. Also to let your friends join, and see if anyone joins in on after that. And to keep the people who join your server on friend them on steam and try to have a connection to a few people and have them invite their friends. If you get a community started then you get people on. Also host what ever the hell game mode you want except for DarkRP cause nobody will join. I hosted a DarkRP when I started off for like 2 months and never got a single soul on. And that was hosting the server everyday straight.
You can write in console or chat : !rcon bot (for chat), rcon bot (for console) =)
