Fun fact 1: Google Adsense is a valid form of funding the site. The revenue generated through ads has slightly outdone the cost of hosting (for 30 days) in the 14 days they've been live which is amazing. Fun fact 2: More people do not have an ad blocker than those who do have one. Its a 55%/45% ratio. I was under the impression that most of the youngish-gamer-type-people [url=http://puu.sh/hzIDM/540717e7ee.png](who also are into dating services)[/url] would have an ad blocker installed but it turns out that isn't true.

I turned my adblocking off for your site, i'm not getting any ads though.

Thanks, but they're only shown when you're logged out anyway as to not annoy actual users. It seems to be going well enough just enabled for guests anyway so don't worry about it.

I don't mind ads and I would like to support you even tho it doesn't give very much.

A couple of people have asked to be able to put adverts on the site and I've implemented it now. The site gets ~50,000 pageviews a day and the CPC rate is $0.05 so far for anyone who is interested.

Good news everyone! I've moved all the files/images to go through CloudFlare before they hit S3 so they're cached which has two benefits. Images load faster and downloads... download faster, and it'll reduce my AWS costs drastically I hope! I've also started working on collections and should be done with them soon.

The 5 or so old versions that are uploaded, anyway.

I'd accidentally not turned on aggressive caching on the new cloudflare->s3 domain so it's been using more traffic on my S3 account than ever. Oops! Fixed now, hoping to see a massive drop in bandwidth usage today.
