Really dumb admins. The kind that don't know how to unragdoll you so they slay you and you have to rejoin.

Ultimatley, CPs should be allowed to do their damn jobs, and admins only intervene after either the CPs can't do it, or the CPs have done it.

Exactly.
I mean, 97% of the time on servers CP's spawn with guns or have access to a CP gun shop in the police station...
I think its about the squeakers for me :suicide:
Server owners/admins who don't even know what they're doing.

In the last scene you see what happens when I actually didn't do anything for a change.
Whether you play serious or not, doesn't matter as it seems.

They must not have ULX/what ever because normally when you look at a prop and have ULX it will tell you who's prop it is.

They banned through ulx, as you can see with the chat messages.
You can't grab the prop I spawned, so you can't see who it belongs to. You can only see the spawn message in the logs, that's what they used. But since I'm always changing my name, they always ban someone random from the server.
After the first server banned all its players excluding me and the second one 50% and 20 min of total chaos, they finally realized they just had to use FAdmin.
Edit:
Also seeing who owns the prop is coming from Falcos prop protection, not ulx.

Ah I see. You'd think they'd watch the logs so midway during a burst of spamming they'd ban you. (No offense)

I'm always changing my name to 2-3 names of connected players. So even if they typed !ban <part of my name> someone else would have that name as well and ulx would be confused and unable to do anything. You can't expect them to be able to write 3 words after checking logs in 5 seconds.

Couldn't they just tab copy your Steam ID, ulx banid <Steam ID>? Or don't they have the brain capacity to do that.

They obviously don't.
Edit:
Paid admins are the best, they don't even care enough to try and ban anyone.
They obviously don't.
Yeah, pretty nice minging btw.
Haven't seen that before in my experiences admining on Dark RP servers.

No probs, much more on my channel and even more to come. :downs:
Having to advertise that you're raiding, seriously, what the fuck?
The stupid people.
If that doesn't sum up half of gmod rp, then I don't know what does
The name. My thought process the first time I joined a DarkRP server:
It sounds interesting. Could it be gothic? With vampires and shit? Sounds epic. Maybe it's noir-styled. That'd be cool.
Oh how disappointed I was.
Going a bit off topic here but meh
Does anyone actually know an RP server (darkrp or anything similar) that's as close to vanilla as possible, doesn't give donators any in-game priviledges and has a good, mature community. I wan't a server where people actually focus on the roleplay, but no taco'n'banana level passive rp bullshit. No restrictive rules or bullshit rules like "/advert raids".
An RP server where people actually roleplay and have fun, and don't play it like an MMORPG where you're just trying to gain advantage over other players. FP DarkRP servers have usually been like this but they're all gone now.
Paid admins are very binary people. They're either "Listen uh, please stop, or I might warn you another 50 times and then kick you" in fear that taking any action might be classified as abuse of power and a potential grounds for loss of admin. Then there's the kind where they noclip around the map for the entirety of their job and knit pick at things that could maybe be interpreted, even in the slightest regard, a violation of the rules. "Uauaaugh, get rid of this sign, you're not allowed to build in the street if you're not a hobo" kind of crap like that.
Having to advertise that you're raiding, seriously, what the fuck?
not only that
[ADVERT] ZERO : IM RAIDING X @ Y, AT Z TIME.
and they make you call the end of a raid
rofl
Having to advertise that you're raiding, seriously, what the fuck?
I find it really dumb that they always use advert for saying their raiding. advert should be for products and services, and whenever someone declares raid even though I probably shouldn't I run to the door with my gun ready.
I think it'd be fine to have people declare raids in admin request, if at all.
I hate how no one really roleplays on DarkRP. It's almost always the same thing, a war against the cops or a war against two gangs. I've had a better roleplay experience on a build server.

Well with money printers, easy access to guns, and mainly being cops and robbers, you would expect most servers to follow by that type of gameplay. Honestly every server I've been to it's mostly money printer, raiding, and cops verse gangsters.

I wish there was a server where guns would be ultra rare. I remember on one DarkRP you could buy a P228 for 50$ from the F4 menu and a Famas for 200 points from Pointshop.

If would be better if raids weren't allowed at all. If you make a gun shop it will last about 30 seconds before a group of 8 year olds raid you.

No, that's all DarkRP relies on.
The fix is to make players fight the crime themselves by balancing earnings of both, the cops and the mob. Atm there's no point in being a cop since you gain like no money from being a cop (and that's the only motivation to darkRP players).
For example give cops a salary of ~1000$ per 10min. Then modify money printers, so that they make ~20% more money in the same time.
Then make it so that cops receive payouts for destroying printers/confiscating weapons.
It's just a theoretical Game Design idea, but I would love to see how it turns out.
I hate servers which try to be sewious rp and yet don't attempt to improve on the gamemode in any way to make it more roleplay-like.
Or in short:

i dont understand why someone just makes a actual cops and robbers gamemode. all you got to do is take dark rp and delete a few things.
I've been reading this and as soon as the community i code for get darkrp again im going to listen to these suggestions and do a facepunch suggestion styled community like the littletown one but it will last much longer than 2 months.

Hire a body guards, hand him a shotgun, when you hear your door being broken into just stand there with shotguns ready, bam no more 8 year olds.
One rule that'd be interesting to see in practice is some kind of "You're a thief, not a murderer" rule, where you shouldn't kill the people living in the house unless they're putting up a fight. Would make solo raiding pretty much impossible though.

You would be surprised how badly some bases are designed or how some people give away their keypad pws.
Sneaking in there is aways the best fun, you also don't need to bother a self supplying gun dealer to sell you a gun.
