Make an icon for it if you wish. I will probably make a complete version for it when I see the movie.
The reason you can't while on the ground is because it puts you into fly mode which makes the player completely stop when they hit the ground. If you run and jump(space bar jump) and then use the SWEP it will work fine. ;)

It's still a beta, but it's my second version. Once it's in full release then I may do stuff like V1, V2 etc. if I made lots of updates. ;)
Uhm, for me when I teleport, My screen goes mostly white. It looks like extreme bloom, but I can kinda see the map moving. I don't know what could be wrong...

Well, it's sorta supposed to look like that. Maybe your graphics card sucks and the bloom is overreacting. :geno:
Make other players able to go through your "wormhole" if they use some extra function on the SWep before it "closes" after the time runs out, 10 seconds, let's say.
I just finished a SENT and I may or may not get back to this. I'm happy as it is. I'll watch the movie and maybe I'll change it.

Because the bloom drops my computer to 3 fps at that magnitude.

Just go into post processing and uncheck bloom. It should work unless I fixed that. :o

It uses motion blur, color mod, DOF, and bloom.

I understand my graphics card sucks ass, as previously stated, however, I was wondering if it was possible to remove all of the effects of jumper so I could still use it just without the effects.

The problem with that is that it will be easy to see. If people can easilly see where they are going then it gives them an unfair advantage(not to mention it won't look nearly as cool). It would be just like noclip without being able to go through walls.
Hey, just looking at your lua, this won't work in multiplayer. When you set a players velocity, you need to do it serverside, otherwise the player gets spammed with errors. Simply add a if (SERVER) then to the script where velocity is being changed, because SetVelocity can only be called serverside. The method I was going to use when I was thinking about this was to create an entity, and move it along the vector toward the target, with the player spectating it, but really fast. Therefore, it would instantaneously teleport, but still have the effect. However, I've not yet had the time to really sit down and code it.

Teribly sorry. I tested/coded in single player. Feel free to change it. I may not get back to changing it. Rip it apart as much as you like. :)
Hey, I have an idea. Maybe if the swep didn't turn off your current bloom to make it 22 passes and make it a little more visable it would be great. But other than that it's a great swep :D.

It won't really be a SWEP. It will be a weapon this sets you to a different move type. If the effects make you lag then you're outta luck. I could change that but it would be pointless. It just wouldn't be a Jumper SWEP anymore. :(

If I could reinvent all those effects to be less lag prone then I would, but that is beyond me scripting abilities. :(
my only suggestion is that the blur effect be changed to a warp effect, like the one that the strider cannon uses, it is really clumsy to use to, do to the fact that you cannot see what you are doing. short of that it is really cool idea, it need more dev. As a suggestion to anyone, gmod needs more cool shit like this, but it should be in the direction of functionality and less wizbang. I should start a thread that pushes the philosophy of function over form. anyway bottom line nice, tweak it so it is more useful.

actually as a reference, the game "Zone of the Enders". there is a device called a "zero-shift". it allows the the vehicle/main character to zip from one point to the next using a line-of-sight or a target. the area around the character goes fisheye and the character is zipped to the next location, upon arrival the fish eye fisheye effect fades away, this all happens in under 1/2 seconds. this ability seems more like what would be the preferred method of this swep. Or simply make another swep that follows this theme.
AND antoher cool modification would be a "charge" ability, so you click and zip a reasonable distancein whatever direction you would be faced, or click and hold for a time, the longer you hold the more intense the blur/warp/whatever effect would build up and upon release based on the charge up be zipped in the intedend direction instanty.

Could you maek it so reload makes you teleport to the crosshairs? and remove that bloom? I can't see shit with it!
I just so the movie and tested it out. Other than not being able to see, it looks pretty good.
