Can I get a help here...Physgun nor Tool gun don't spawn in the inventory no matter how many times I give tooltrust or if I make physgun or tool gun into a model to take it just wont work. Also it wont let me use weapons, only wear them. Any fix or explanation?
Most of the things won't take affect until your character respawns. You don't have to kill yourself or anything to respawn, just use the tab menu and go to the character list like you normally do.
Damn. I feel saddened that FNox has stopped working on this. I honestly do. :/ At least he delivered an excellent gamemode, however, I will have to agree with him. Most of the GMod RP community is a disappointment, that I will not deny. I only hope that doesn't stop people from using Tiramisu 2, however.

Garry's Mod 13 has changed gamemode and addon formats already.
Most of the GMod community in general is a dissapointment.

It would be simply more of a waste to see Tiramisu gone due to the update.
I'd happily use this once I'm aware that the problem with linux servers is corrected. I've got a whole dedicated box sat here with space for a server which I'd like to use this on but I'm running ubuntu on it.
What problem with linux servers? Mine works just fine.
Issues with container's when running it on linux, haven't seen anything saying its fixed.
Issues with container's when running it on linux, haven't seen anything saying its fixed.
Have you tried this?
Have you tried this?
Thats only for fixing the missing dlls in the distribution, not the problem with the file system which was reported back on page 5.
I actually lost my Linux VPS, too. So I'm no longer able to really test in Linux anymore. I'll let you know when the GMod 13 version is done so we can fix that Linux thing and I can finally be at peace knowing the project is done.
Sorry things didn't work out dude, I know that terrible feeling when you work on something for hours on end and it wasn't worth it in the end. I would have played if there were people on, but what can you do.
On my install, when I hit tab I get the sandbox scoreboard, what am I doing wrong? I also get the classic gmod tooltip/hint things that pop up at the side, I assume that's normal? It's like half of the sandbox mode is 'seeping' through and messing stuff up :S. I've based my schema off of the 'freeform' one. Just tried the HL2RP included schema, same thing. D:
How do you change the intro in the beginning to say what you want.
How do you change the intro in the beginning to say what you want.
schemas/whateveryoursiscalled/plugins/skin/cl_skin.lua If you're basing it off freeform, it's ~line 27 - 29. I hope you can figure it out from there, otherwise, God save you.
People wouldn't have asked so many questions if there was SOME FORM OF DOCUMENTATION.
Then write documentation its an open-source project.
I have no idea what I'm looking at when i look at it. The admin commands and stuff, i have no idea how to set admin(or myself as owner or root), and all documentation is at least a year old.
How ironic that when the project dies, the thread lives.
I have no idea what I'm looking at when i look at it. Set yourself as admin the normal way you do in GMod, adding yourself to settings/users.txt
People wouldn't have asked so many questions if there was SOME FORM OF DOCUMENTATION.
Here's the problem, the OH so big problem of this whole thing. You people expect me to do fucking everything because I actually do, and therefore expect me to do a bunch of things nobody actually does in the GMod community ever does. NO RP SCRIPT IS DOCUMENTED. NOT EVEN THE BASE CAKESCRIPT. THIS IS FACT. However, the script is coded so it's easy enough to read, the files and plugins are laid out so what you want is usually under a name, ALL of the GUI is on the skin file, and there's usually a comment above every function describing what it does. This is the best I can do under my payroll, which is nil anyhow.
Well, all i can say is thanks for the help provided.
Too bad you are dropping the project mate. I hope Matt keeps it up but I understand why you leave. If people can appriciate the script they will somehow keep it up even after the creator(s) quit. It's really bad that everyone is ready to download fucking darkRP gamemode or yet ANOTHER leaked OA instead of just taking a look at Tiramisu. But, oh well. You chose to leave, no body can change your mind. I wish you luck and I hope that you will come back someday and see that your script is successful.
Not sure what your goal was with this, but making a gamemode for gmod and expecting people to actually do something with it themselves, is a waste of time.
Not sure what your goal was with this, but making a gamemode for gmod and expecting people to actually do something with it themselves, is a waste of time.
I'm working with it D: I've already made a few tweaks, it's really quite easy to read and modify. Only problem is the fact that the tab menu doesn't appear at all, I just get the sandbox menu, thus massively gimping the gamemode for me... No lua errors either :'( FIXED IT OMG YEYAIFdfSIKG Gcxv Deleted Evolve, all good.
Not sure what your goal was with this, but making a gamemode for gmod and expecting people to actually do something with it themselves, is a waste of time.
People used to, but something changed. And no, it wasn't the release of darkrp, but something happened to the community, and now a lot of gamemodes like this one are ignored.
Not sure what your goal was with this, but making a gamemode for gmod and expecting people to actually do something with it themselves, is a waste of time.
Cakescript did at one time have a whole array of custom edits that were actually beyond a couple variable changes. Tiramisu not only allows you to skip a whole load of editing and by having an actual configuration file you can turn shit on or off easily. I REALLY blame it on how brutally commercial GMod RP became. RP scripts stopped being fun as they became more complex and their price surged. Tiramisu is still based on the core ideology of Cakescript, and that is that you're able to freely release your edits, use them to your will, even sell them as long as Matt and I are credited.

-snip- kuro bought me that title, I didn't choose to advertise his crap, end of story
Tiramisu is a good script, but I do not like it because tons of experience with OA made me biased, even tho I hate the script. Go and hate me for it.
So not only you come to my thread to advertise another script, but you go ahead and claim you do EXACTLY what people hate out of the RP community for the past 3 pages, and that is that you don't like it cause it isn't another script. How is this a smart argument at fucking all? Do you hate Burger King cause you like McDonalds? Do you hate the Xbox 360 or PS3 cause you like PC? Why the hell does one thing lead you to dislike the other if they're similar but not related?

I admire your script, but it seems you're getting a bit ragey, and I'd understand except the posts were within an hour apart. So much anger...
