Yeah, but I mean possible support for stuff like NOSQL (NotOnlySQL); so MongoDB, DynamoDB, and other types of uncommon DB types.
It is possible in the same way that I'm having the PHPMySQL implemented. It's just a matter of having the code setup. The developers are telling me that more code will be coming out tomorrow. Some focused on MySQLoo, and some on other various fixes.
Posting one major problem. Mostly with weapons and animations. https://github.com/designintentional/tiramisu/issues/12
Can I just give a thumbs up for probably most smooth animation I have ever seen in a Garrysmod gamemode. Also, I can't wait to try out the new update I'll let you know if I see anything strange going on.
Yeah, but I mean possible support for stuff like NOSQL (NotOnlySQL); so MongoDB, DynamoDB, and other types of uncommon DB types.
That's limited to the amount of modules available. Also, considering how MySQL is the most common of all of them, it sounds like the better option to provide support for it. Tables are made automatically so it's not a pain unlike other scripts.
What do you mean about the animation?
The way that your guy turns his head first before twisting all the way, and how he doesn't magically turn without pivoting his foot.
The way that your guy turns his head first before twisting all the way, and how he doesn't magically turn without pivoting his foot.
He always did that, until a certain angle, anyway.
He always did that, until a certain angle, anyway.
Right, I actually meant how the guy turns his torso before he turns all the way.
Right, I actually meant how the guy turns his torso before he turns all the way.
They have always done that...
They have always done that...
In other gamemodes? EDIT: Woops realized were going off topic, disregard me.
Sorry for such a stupid question, but how do you use the gamemode? I put tiramisu-master in garrysmod/garrysmod/gamemodes folder, but I can't choose it :/ EDIT: Thanks, very helpful. I really like to mess around with Tiramisu.
Sorry for such a stupid question, but how do you use the gamemode? I put tiramisu-master in garrysmod/garrysmod/gamemodes folder, but I can't choose it :/
Rename tiramisu-master to tiramisu
I wish I had taken a screenshot, I thought I had, turns out it didn't. Never the less I was fooling around with the first and thirdperson cameras and I found two things, one of which is minor and the other I could see as becoming a little annoying. After switching to first person the names of other players appeared in weird places, IE: only showing up of you looked about 60 degrees adjacent to them and the stranger of the errors was after changing back and forth from 3rd to first person a few times the proportions of my character were all out of wack. They could be fixed by using the character editor however I could never replicated it within or outside of the editor it was as if I had set all my options to a negative number.

It's basically so you don't see names all over the place and only see the ones you intend/want to. It's good the way it is.

It's good the way it is.
This makes sense however I think you misunderstood the issue. In third person the names display correctly. If you look at a player within a certain distance, a name appears above them. Do the same in first person and the name only displays if you look to the far right or left of the character and above nothing, just floating in empty space.
Sorry for the bump, and the double post. Not much happening here? Usually a flurry of activity. Understandable with the holidays now in full swing. If anything have a delightful and safe break guys. Look forward to playing.

I know DEV1 is still working on the php database stuff, and DEV2 has been too busy with Holiday things to do much.
I just have quick question, is the dr Breen model glitch fixed? I re-installed the gamemode, and my garrys mod but I still see a breen.mdl inside my character. Is there anyway to fix that?
01:25:38 Couldn't change active gamemode - 'Tiramisu' not found Strange.
01:25:38 Couldn't change active gamemode - 'Tiramisu' not found Strange.
In the gamemode folder rename the info.txt file to tiramisu.txt
In the gamemode folder rename the info.txt file to tiramisu.txt
Fixed it. Thanks. [editline]24th December 2012[/editline] Seems I am missing fonts or something. After creating a character (I cant see the male model when creating) I cannot select one to spawn.
I don't know where to post this, but if anybody wants to just do some freeform rp later on, add me on steam. name is ridingkeys

I've noticed that characters disappear on map restart, and basically nothing is being saved period. Is there anything being done to fix this?
I've noticed that characters disappear on map restart, and basically nothing is being saved period. Is there anything being done to fix this?
Tiramisu 3 isn't fully working yet, herpaderpaderp. MySQL/SQLite functionality is the last thing to do, as there are still many gamemode-breaking bugs which need to be resolved.
Converting Tiramisu 3 to use MySQL will be pretty tricky as it requires a recode of most of the SQL functions.
Converting Tiramisu 3 to use MySQL will be pretty tricky as it requires a recode of most of the SQL functions.
It already uses MySQL.
It already uses MySQL.
It uses SQLite Edit: It 'supports' MySQLoo but uses SQLite.
The MYSQLoo support is failing because of numerous errors in the current implementation. I'm going to begin work to resolve this issue again tomorrow, I have a pretty good idea as to what is going on I just had some family issues and had to back out of helping for a time. Hopefully everything will come together this time and mysql integration will be working soon. Among these issues is the prominent fact that the code assumes a query with no records returned is nil. When in fact it returns an empty table. For those of you who need a quick fix for this and who are working to resolve this on your own, until it can get fixed in the code you can change line 211 in mysql.lua to the following.
if table.Count(query) < 1 then return false else return query end
This solves a number of assumptions causing the code to fail and allows basic player data to be generated on the database. There are other issues unresolved but for those of you who are working to fix things on your own this will help as it is a little transparent. Also, the code does not come with the MYSQLoo binary, you need the latest one, and you also need to reconfigure the server to use MYSQLoo in the config file.
