What a little sucks is that the AC-130 moves straight to the map end(on big maps) and turns there it would be better if it turns around from your position! --------------------------------o---o ------------------------------o-------o Like you standing here X>--------o ------------------------------o--------o --------------------------------o----o (should be a cicle ^^) and it turns like this! Hey death dealer, how did you make your video? I know its with fraps but what did you use to process it to upload?

The > is the direction u look
The only problem I see with the AC-130 is it's absourdly steep turning angle. I can line up a shot on a target perfectley then all of a sudden the screen will show me the edge of the map and I'll have lost the target. Well that and the immense lag that comes with trying to render more than one red square.

Depending on size of enamy group
Hmm, for the AC-130 lag fix, line 236 and 243 don't seem to have anything to do with the thermal vision. They are codes about the weapons and missiles. Are you sure you delete line 236 and 243?
I can handle a giant base full of red squares.
Well I should be getting little to no lag with my computer. Processor.............AMD Phenom(tm) II X2 545 (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz RAM....................4GB HHD....................500 GB Graphics card.......NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT OS.......................Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit It can run all Source games full w/ no lag and everything. Just apply a few red squares seen through a thermal vision camera and my computer seems to be crashing.
Probably they are unoptimized.
Is this a noob question? How DO I optomize them? Is it a program? Is it free? I also have another idea, does anyone know of GOOD, FREE defragmenting software? I'll also check for driver updates since I'm updating everything an crap.
If this is true then can't you just upload it? However, I don't think that gmod will try to look for the file. I think that gmod would just display a console error if that happened.
Sony Vegas Pro 9 An overpriced software that is worth to buy.
So you recorded it with fraps and processed it through Sony Vegas Pro9? I have the software, just don't know how to use it much

To be honest, mild fragmentation is one of the least factor that affects performance. Gamebooster on the other hand, is a great application to disable uneeded services and processes during a gameplay.

ok i put this on my server and it dls every thing and when i do use_killstreak i dont get unknown command but when i do OpenKillstreakWindow i get Unknown command: OpenKillstreakWindow i dont get anything in utilities
Having issues with the killstreak showing after I killed the right amount of NPCs. Everything else works (Shows up in weapons tab, killstreak window pops up at beginning of game, weapons work when selected from the weapons tab), but killing npc's doesn't do anything on its own. I tryed removing addons, but that didn't seem to change anything.
I have an idea for the pavelow and helicopter. Hoffa is currently working on NeuroPlanes, which are intensely awesome airplane npcs. Once he releases the beta, you can ask him for permission to use them. Or just work with him and develop a pavelow.

The UAV should have a model, when calling it in, you should be able to see it moving in circle, just like the AC-130. I have a model, it comes with with this pack http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=80858
What kind of NPCs did you kill
Combines and any type of NPC enemies. Is there an only select type of NPC that would set off the streaks?

If there's a missing file there would either be purple&black squares all over the screen, the killstreak wouldn't work at all or gmod might even crash. In the next release can you change it so you can have thermal vision with or without the red sqaures. I prefer the CoD:4 style where you had no red squares but actual thermal imaging where you can see the bright white figure of a person from the darker background. If you could also add some of those cool HUD elements like the Camera type or whatever that means and maybe some of the Idle radio chatter. Maybe you can even script the LUA so you can hear the operator go "I see lots of little peices down there" and "ka-boom" when you kill someone like they did in the CoD:4 mission. All of these optional. That is of course if you even go through with these ideas.

Hey! ive got a suggestion, can you use GCombat '08 models for projectiles? Its all great but AC130 firing missiles and torpedoes just bugs me :P
Well when i removed the file from my directory it crashed gmod for me. i'll see what i can do about the red squares. if you watch the ac-130 teaser on my youtube page you would see that i already have added those sounds to it
Ah, I never thought to look on your youtube page for updates D: Well that looks good, maybe just some Idle radio chatter and the HUD element like I said? I also see you don't have any lag when you have a massive concentration of NPCs in one area but I have like 3 or 4 all spread out and I get lag, it is dam annoying.
Yeah Idle radio chatter would be great and HUD elements lol. Although its just a suggestion.
Get a better computer
Did you not read my computer specs a bit higher up the page? My computer is perfectly fine. Also, do you expect people to just magicaly get a better computer? There's a world wide ressecion going on and people can't afford things like a computer when they already have one. It's expensive to buy an uber gaming computer just so you can run a dam addon. You can't expect people to get a better computer when they have problems with one little addon. It's much easier just to not use that little part of it and carry on.
