Awesome Penumbra-like control. You have my download! And a lua king.
(Incredible! in fact)
Sorry for the bump, but I saw a version of this which worked with every weapon and turned around the viewmodel depending on where you where aiming, like in Metroid Prime. Any idea where I can get it? I got it on my old PC but I can't find it anymore!

It is somewhere in the releases. I wouldn't recommend it though, the aiming is very off. I'm going to scrap my physgun code and replace it with what you are describing in the next version. Will give the physgun much more mouse control.
And I like bumps :keke:
Okay, well, I wanted to make you a video of using a tablet with this fine mod, but unfortunately, it's not very practical. I was having a lot of trouble accomplishing anything. It's a neat idea in theory, but best to remain using the mouse. Maybe sometime later I will try to make a nice tablet video, but it just really wasn't working out.

Thanks for trying anyway! :)
Purely Awesome Man! Lua king
Edit:
Downloaded it, Checked it, and i Loved it.
It doesn't work for me at all, i press the context key when i have the physgun out and all it did was make the crosshair disappear.

Ok i removed an addon 'Player Weld' and it works but now i get this error:
autorun/server/sv_extended_context.lua:424: Tried to use a NULL entity!
That's wierd...
Try restarting GMod. If it does not help, please post everything in your console.
It won't post everything for some reason.
I'm going to re-install it.
Seriously ! EPIC release! Have a lua King!
It works now i re-installed.
Awesome Lua by the way.
Make it so if you want to move around ETC DYNAMITE without just blowing it up right click is always physgun no matter what.
I was able to use and enter seats from any distance now i can't
i used the SVN back then, but the svn is broken or something so now i can't
could someone please check and see if the svn really IS broken?
i get this error every time:
Command: Checkout from http://1337loading.com/EMC, revision HEAD, Fully recursive, Externals included
Error: Server sent unexpected return value (405 Method Not Allowed) in response to
Error: PROPFIND request for '/EMC'
Finished!:
PS. Using tortuise SVN
it worked fine some time ago, but now...
Where can I get the latest release of this?
You should be able to activate a PC screen for PCMod using this, it would be extremely helpful to do this from chairs in my spaceship.
The SVN is broken as trans said.
Oh my god!this is awesome!
This is great, shame I never really found a use for it, but still, it was awesome.
Awwww...
I just found out about this, got so excited, and now the link is broken...
Can someone please re-upload this? I really want this addon...
The last time I checked out this addon was in July at Revision 6. I don't know what the most recent is, sorry guys. But i will upload this revision: http://users.d2k5.com/Cornflake/files/Extended%20Mouse%20Control%20_Rev%206_.zip
Can it be an other button than C, i use c for my mic...

I use this for pressing buttons or wire buttons with the mouse when sitting in a seat. It's great when you're in a car or other vehicle contraption you've made and don't want to break realism by getting out of the seat :)
Yeah that was the main use I had for it, that and throwing props around for the shits and giggles.

I've never gotten to expand it enough so the SVN version is the same as the gmod.org one.

Go to your keyboard settings in options. Find "Context Menu" (Should be right under the bind for the Q Menu) and bind it to whatever key you want to use.
