You didnt tell your opinion, you tried to force your ideas on him, big difference.
There will be 2 versions of railgun, with black/grey/white/brown/green texture "Universe Railgun" and with grey texture "Atlantis Railgun".
How to destroy props? I have some ideas. First just download some mod (like breakable_props). Or i can do something like that: if prop will take 100 bullets then its removed from map and on position of prop is creating some effect (like zat, but its swep and i have no idea how to translate it to the entity ;)).
Also Im working on own bullet tracer, again, Im looking on the zat, but (again) its a swep...
If someone wanna help me then don't be shy, im open for all suggestions :)
That HUD looks pretty neat, can't wait for the finished product. I bet this is going to get popular
I added HUD animation, it slide up and down, when u enter and exit my gun. Also im working on 3rd person view (from puddle jumper but it don't wanna work for me) and on mouse controlling in 3rd person view :)
I tryed to add sitting animation (from PHX seat) but i have no idea how to do that.

Odd. I tried this out and while it is a little glitchy, it still works well. As an added bonus, now all props I weld together share health. Such as 3 boxes can take 30 shots from Ronan's gun on any 1 box and then they all explode. This didn't happen until I downloaded this. I still was looking for something that would do this but could never find it. Also I watched the SGA episode last night. The guns have a bigger gap between each shot and it is a 1000 round clip.
Im aware of bugs:) I uploaded new version. I have no idea how HUD will be displayed on different resolutions... And I noticed problems with entering, and switching control mode...
I changed delays between each bullet so now its almost like in movie. Now 5-10 shots can kill new jumper :) It's harder to do that with shield...
The pictures look good. I downloaded and installed v1.1 but i cant find it in the spawn menu where is it located? im sure i installed it right is it possible another addon is conflicting?

Actually the bullets/lasers/whatever it fires have a blue outer part while the "core" middle part is purple.
Tne below screencap directly taken a minute ago from SGA - Season 1 - The Siege Part 2 - at 28 minutes and 51 seconds shows them really up close and as you can see the outer part is blue while the core is purple. (The blue isn't very obvious but it's there..)

sharp06, it should be in Entity tab, on Stargate group. It working without Stargate pack.
I have The Siege part 2 on my HDD and still looking on it, but i have no idea how to make my own tracer, just give me some time to figure it out :)
It is conflicting with the railgun from GCombat extended.
What exactly is going on? I don't have GCombat. I know that my gun conflicting with itself (when u spawn second gun :).

After I installed it the gun doesn't show up in the entities tab, its in the right folder, the lua is all there but it doesn't show up for me in game, any ideas as to why?

Do you have GCX ?
If yes, then try moving it out of your addon folder (it worked for me).
I see that there is serious problem with GCombat. Maybe it suck, but i will dl that and try to fix errors (if i will have free time).
What other addons do I need for the Railgun???
You dont need anything :) Its standalone version :)

Yeah, you could easily wire a staff turret with an invisible pod. I should probably go do that right now...I have to stop giving myself things to do.
Im working on my own tracer (finally i know, how to do that, but it will take some time). Also, i will add wire inputs, so you could connect my gun, (for example) to the target finder, or connect few guns to one chair :)
Also the view I get when I enter the turret is hard to shoot with. I also glitch when I get out causing me to repeatedly press E while backing up.
This is very fucking cool.

Ok, I ran first test with muzzle effect and wiremod. I wired my gun to the Target Finder and Beacon Sensor. It track me and kill the dart (a little present for single player :) I also clean up my code, so for example, hud works faster (think i decreased network traffic)...
