I'm having a problem with the SVN i keep getting:
Error PROPFIND request failed on '/svn/CDS'

its the same for LifeSupport as well.
I love this mod I think though you should add a massive gun that needs massive amounts of energy Like aroud 1 mill and affects 5k area like a Ion cannon. AND please do not give up on this mod its the best weapon system out there.

To make sure this post isn't all troll, what's this I heard about a GCombat-CDS compatibility patch?
I prefer Gcombat not just because of the traditional "STOP EXPLODING MY CONTRAPTION WITH A CROWBAR" versus "Ok guys, NOW you can take out the Gcombat weapons! Fortwar Time!", but because these weapons just seem bland and boring.
Gcombat:
Glowy red heat-seekers! Thin missiles of doom! Laser pulses! Big explosions! Huge rockets to tiny grenade launchers!
CDS:
Spend ages hooking up a gun to see a disappointingly small and cartoony explosion! Don't want one type of damage to look the same as the other? Well you don't have to deal with ice being awesome freezing ice shards and fire being balls of combustion! We just changed the color!
Not to mention that whole LuaPineapple thing.

I would prefer CDS, cause ist much more realistic, you have more possibilities to Damage something ( i.e. via heat or cold) and the Weapons have more Wire functionality.
However, my biggest issue is not that Props can by damaged by normal Weapons or that the Weapons do not look cool (that can be done easily, and there are already the Stargate weapons). My issue is if this Mod is Balanced correctly. I heard a lot about Props being to difficult or easy to destroy or normal weapons being stronger than anything else.
Is that still the case (i don't have the time for long testing sessions atm), or would you say its balanced (at least) 'ok' right now?
I understand that its still a rather young project (compared to Gcombat) and a good Balancing usually takes a long time.
Prop damage isn't set in the script. It's calculated by a hash of mass and size last i looked. So a prop being easier/harder to destroy is that it weighs and is larger then others. Simple as that.

Yeah, but the calculation formula is what does the trick, isn't it?
Current version isn't really that balanced, but I'm working on a new version, which should be a lot more balanced then this one. It will still take a while before it will be released though. Partially because of new features being implements and for the most part to make it balanced enough.

Good, i'm really looking forward to this. Right now its difficult to play with it as its already difficult to destroy even one 4x4 phx plate.
If the Balance gets better i will definetly use this rather than Gcombat.

What is CDF (going to be)?
Combat Damage Framework. Instead of loading you down with shit, you download and add what you want (ported GCombat weapons, CDF specific weapons, effects plug-ins, etc). You won't need to code an entire SENT too for the weapons, you'll do it in a style similar to those plug-ins from CakeScript or an STool.

Looks like it's a bit on the broken side, kinda seems similar to the target finder radius crash. LuaPine is right, you will have to wait for the update, I'm afraid.
As for my 2 cents about the path that CDS is taking...
Last time I used it, (which I assume it hasn't changed much) I dispised the ablity of minges able to just "E" us to death. The complexity is nice, but...the older PCs and most servers just can't handle the extra load that CDS adds.
Just a quick question: Does anyone know if the Shield stops normal bullets like from Pistol?
CDS seems to be in conflict with the newest ASSmod - it can´t load CDS_AddHook.

This is a great mod, but it has one major problem. The problem is that on servers running Spacebuild2 (not sure about 3 though) the CDS Shield causes huge graphical distortions. One time I turned one on and the whole sphere around earth that made it not look like just a half a ball moved. Other than that I think this mod is just about perfect and is gonna give gcombat some real competition. By the way, I Lua King'ed you.

It seems the 'host' has a bug which caused the annymous access to be revocked. I'll try to get it back up. If not you'll just have to wait for the new verson of it which might take a while. Or just use the zip...
I don't know about you guys, but I can't get CDS or GCombat to work no matter what I do. I just want it for breakable props, but neither of them allow me to have props be breakable.

Remember not to run both at the same time as they can clash
Also CDS requires Life support and resource dist (thats version 2)

Yeah I tried making sure I had LS2 and RD2 but that didn't do anythin either. So frustrated...
EDIT: I also have ULX, could that be conflicting somehow?
