To those who wanted to only turn something on when resources were low, I bodged up something like that using a simple RS NOR latch/flipflop, a less than gate, a greater than gate and a constant value. It also shut off the air generator while it did so that supply could outstrip demand, but that might be dangerous on a ship, if you're cutting it close with your air, but have plenty of energy. Probably easy to do with an expression chip, but I think they're lazy :P :edit: Whoops! This is a CDS thread, and this is irrelevant. Nothing to see here, move along.
I run a server and what I've found is that space shields use a huge amount of cpu when there are many in use. 3.6ghz Q6600 (1 core for the server obviously) went from 10% cpu usage to about 90% from having too many space shields in the game. A fix would be good, i guess the alternative is limiting the maximum amount of space shields you can have.
Can someone help out with "seeking" missiles? They don't seek so well

I really dislike CDS, it totally screws over spacebuild and overcomplicates a simple concept. I suppose if you could spawn pre-filled containers it would be okay, but having to make a personal factory, just to have a little game of Gcombat basically, is pretty unwieldy.

I dislike the temperature system. Is there any way turning that off but keeping the other damage systems?
I really like the CDS addon, and I think it has some potential, but the system seems to really screw over limited range ships, as the temperature regulator devours coolant insanely fast. Also, the space shield is way too strong/guns are way too weak or slow for any awesome combat to happen. Slow reload times mixed with fast shield recharge rates are very annoying. Good stuff otherwise though.
Hi guys. Sorry that there haven't been any updates lately, school started again and didn't have much time to do non-school related stuff. I'm going to check the threads about SB2, LS2 and CDS this weekend (read through them all) and start working on the things that need fixing and or things that people would like to see added/changed(will depend on what they are).

Just read throught the thread and this is on the todo list: [list] [*] Add repair sents (health, armor, health + armor) [*] Fix the #worldspawn bug [*] Add a admin-only spawnable, indestructable shield (for safe zones) [*] Add a cvar to disable the Entity Damage hook (normal weapons won't use the CDS system then, but will do default damage again) [*] Fix the temp reg not having an on/off indication [*] Cvar for disabling use on all weapons (weapons will need some modification for this to) [*] Reduce the machine gun rate of fire (maybe) [*] Add a spawn flag that will make props indestructable for about 1-2 mins after being spawned. [*] Change the generator sounds (maybe) [*] Reduce the shield cpu usage (if possible) [*] Reduce the recharge rate of the shield a bit and/or make the weapons a bit more powerfull (maybe) [*] Add a convar to only allow Temperature Damage (might also be a different release, or some sort of plugin system). What Feldor said. I kinda dislike the temperature systems with its freaky-looking effects and sometimes strange behaviour. I want to be able to use the pure damage weapons only! By the way, the shield seems to be pretty buggy too :/
There is already a command for disabling the temperature.
I hate having to put a temperature regulator on all my crap before I head into space. but I do not use my server I play on SGC servers, they have it disabled. :D
