No, you see it save and load from the registry, which is, in theory, a database. It's not text files. EDIT: And I can also understand those reasons, turck3. I'm just saying how things may get. EXAMPLE: The admin mod I made in use on the D3 servers (not released), uses MySQL. In the table that saves the user's data, there are 4,650 rows. If your admin mod uses a different file for each player, I'd find it annoying (if manually editing these files for some reason) to go into a folder with 4.6 thousand text files.
Although the way Windows saves registry is similar to a database, it doesn't actually 'connect' to an online database. The same way you don't connect to the sqlite database that comes with gmod. There's no reason in editing the text files. Unless, of course, the developer intentionally wanted you to edit them. If, for some reason, they need to be edited, the developer is doing something wrong.

This shouldn't be changed so Conna didn't put a sethours command. Makes sense. But say you set Citrus up on a new server, moving from an old server (that you do not have access to the files for anymore), and you know some people that had certain amounts of times. You could go into their file and edit their time.
very good work i got to say assmods my number 1 then MOOCOW then ulx i got to say derma does not look flashy but who needs flashy when it works
ok 1 problem with this changemap anyone?
Awesome admin mod which would i could use solo instead of my current combination of addmod and ulx if you can help me solve these 2 problems. I'm running this on darkrp (svn) server. First i had to disable the prop protection in moocow as there is already one in darkrp, so that ppl can open doors and stuff. I have already done what you got on the wiki about changing the / before a command to !. Problem 1: Every single command shows up in chat. If ppl buy weapon using the f4 menu or buys a door by clicking at it all the text shows up in chat (which it didn't with ulx and assmod) Problem 2: People can remove world props with remover (doors, windows etc.) Hope you can help. Please ask if you need more information to help me.
how do i promote myself to owner rank or someone to admin on my dedicated server?

I can look into that -- but changing the command so that it works on ! instead of / should fix that... 2. I definitely need to look into that... so I will 3. You mentioned not being able to open doors with prop protect on, try using the setting to make it so that 'player use' isn't protected against. That should allow you to keep prop protect on. Should be working, try another browser, or if that doesn't work, you could try using www.proxify.com to get to it. The link is: http://moocowadmin.wikispaces.com/
thanks a ton man
Is there any server which actually utilizes this admin mod?
Is there any server which actually utilizes this admin mod?
Why would they.
Overv, I've told you before and I'll say it again, get out of this thread. If you have nothing to contribute, then you have no business here, keep your opinion to yourself, or if you must let it out, do so in the form of a private message.
No, I'd just like to see how servers are doing with this admin mod. I'm interested.
As much as I doubt you motives. I was contacted last week about a server installation of it. Someone talked to me on steam. The SVN statistics for it also indicate that it has been used.

But that will be fixed once i learn the chat commands. Personally this Admin mod was EXACTLY what i was looking for, and i couldn't be more pleased
Is there any server which actually utilizes this admin mod?
I asked myself not to long ago why all the good developers are gone and/or don't last long here at facepunch. In a list of many in my conclusion, one is being exampled right now. Childish/Immature developers and community members. You sir are a troll and suffer from a self inflated perception of importance.

Lets just stop the social attacks and retorts and get back on topic. If someone has something to say relevant to the mod itself, and not just to attack it (unless you do so constructively), or any other poster on this thread, then please, speak up, otherwise, don't post.

That way some commands would be slightly easier to find, other than that i think you have done great!!
My only suggestion, would be to make submenu's for the GUI. That way some commands would be slightly easier to find, other than that i think you have done great!!
then it would be an assmod clone

Hence the qualifier 'indicate' course, there's always this if you don't believe in the statistical correlation between downloads and usages...
Well my servver is using it now. Nice release, I'm more of a fan of chat commands anyway so the GUI doesn't bother me. I don't understand the backlash you've gotten from releasing this, I guess people are really attached to their admin mods? I personally see no need for negative comments, you put hard work into releasing this and I commend you for that.
Just because people like another admin mod better is no reason to put down this one for no reason. Stating the reasons why you like another one better is fine, but simply saying "ths is werst evar" is stupid. And yeah, this is a nice piece of work turck. And wow, that dude has almost 6,000 posts.
But everyone has said why they don't like it. It has a shit name and a shit GUI. [editline]05:55PM[/editline] Not that the name matters much, but the GUI is vile.

Ok i actually have a suggestion. (Wow big suprise in this thread) Could you add a command to enable/disable noclip for certain players and groups. Plus a command to switch the gamemode/ map. Finally a thing to give seperate classes different health Theese might be more difficult: A reserved slot system, server message system, and an event system (such as can be found here http://www.amtstudios.com/mods/simple-admin.php ) Also could you add a time based rank system(looking all over for one but can't seem to find it). Sorry but my server is running three admin mods, and i really only want one :/ [editline]05:06PM[/editline] Also it isnt letting me restrict wepons, tools, sent, etc. Any ideas?
All of the above are in the plans, the switching of gamemode and map can be done already using the perform command with 'changelevel' and 'changegamemode' (the rcon commands). As for the rest of those features, they're not likely to be implemented for a bit, but I'll get to them... eventually.... but that may not be until a school break. As for the weapons restrictions and all, you'll need to be more specific. Try just altering one permission at a time, to see if it works, if it does, try doing 15 or so at a time, instead of 100, I have had issues where if you make too many changes, it'll screw up, something which I'll probably fix over break as well.
