If you really wanted to, and you knew lua, it wouldn't be that hard....
here, I'll change my previous answer to, when I get back to MOOCOW, I'll add categories, but I'll make it show up like it does now unless you alter a setting to split it into groups.
Jesus, why would you name anything this?
If you don't like the name, that's your problem. Quite frankly, it's origin is a meme that started over at www.wiremod.com .....so of course you wouldn't get it.....

Jesus, why would you name anything this?
Why did you name yourself that?
Thanks for the constructive comments, I don't take anything he says in offense, quite frankly, I think he's just pissed about the reception of his mod vs MOOCOW. I only added that setting because I had been meaning to anyway, I figured someone would ask sooner or later.
Hahahahahahahaha oh my god that made my day. Two third of your votes being negative against 8000 downloads. I'm just gonna ignore this.
Overv is totally against any text notifications what so ever. He wrote NewAdmin and said it was better than ULX because, and I'm paraphrasing here, it doesn't have an annoying MOTD or have to spam itself every few minutes in chat.
What I find funny is that if Overv had taken all of 5 minutes to read the readme file, he would have seen a reference to a ULX server configuration file where tons of features can be set up including....yep, you guessed it, the ability to remove/disable ads and MOTD.
Actually, I know this. But the fact it's turned on by default does it for me.
Turck3, ignore Overv. Many others do.
Give me some proof.
Stop attempting to find fault with this addon simply because it competes with your own. I could understand honest attempts to help through constructive criticism, but instead you're being a dick over simple things that normal people overlook with ease. I run a server using this mod and I could not care less about the stupid "X addon loaded..." text. Hell, even if you do care, you're a Lua coder yourself, couldn't you simply fix it instead of telling someone else to because you don't like it?
I'm giving the dude constructive criticism. And addons don't get released for me to fix them, the dev has to take care of that himself.
Edit: I find the way turck3 deals with criticism very ignorant. I guess he starts crying over it and PMs his trolls on Steam to reply in the thread.

I have seen a new level of one making one self look dumb.
Moving along...
Turk3, one suggestion I have is a clean documented api/function wiki like ULX/ULib. That alone is one huge reason ULX/ULib won in the community. Clean, open and understandable docs.

You name a mod after a stupid meme? Wow.
I want to just punch you so badly.

Show me something to make more user friendly on my existing wiki and I will correct it.

Have fun with that.
What meme was it anyway? I may not fully understand it but I probably will as I do lurk the Wire ofrums a small bit.
There was a time in which if you went on www.wiremod.com, you would see at least one variation on 'moo' in the shoutbox.... usually upwards of 5 of them, and no, not all from the same person. Unfortunately, those days are gone, but it was good while it lasted. Why? Why not. Boredom is a powerful thing.
Ahh, hence the birth of all memes, boredom and exploitability. That must have been so random...at least some people get conversation out of that thing, I never did.

Functions, not commands. I don't think other lua coders will be using console commands to integrate with moocow.
Why would people want to integrate with a shit admin mod? I've looked at the code and it uses string.Explode quite at lot. Criticism is ignored by the dev in a disturbing way.
I hope people see the point I'm making. I'm not "bashing" this mod, because turck the third needs to bash my admin mod, but because this is an insult to Lua coders. If this is the future of Lua addons I'm out of here.
Overv, we've already been through this.
Does turck go into NewAdmin's thread and talk shit? No. So just because you've got the shiny Gmod.com Admin doesn't mean you should be talking shit about mods that compete with you.
I realize you're not "bashing" it, this is much better than last time, but there are key points in your post that should just be dropped. Such as:
insult to Lua coders

Why would people want to integrate with a shit admin mod?

If this is the future of Lua addons I'm out of here.
Also, there might be a slight misunderstanding with:
Criticism is ignored by the dev in a disturbing way.
He's not ignoring it. I think a page or two back he mentioned he can't do anything about stuff because of his real life responsibilities.
Functions, not commands. I don't think other lua coders will be using console commands to integrate with moocow.
Ok, documenting functions is something I can do for you.... I'll do it in school when I have free time, so it could take a bit, but it will definitely be done.

I'll ignore the rest of your statement and focus on this.... tell me, what is so bad about string explodes? Storing data in strings is an efficient way to transfer them, some commands may require explodes where others do not, thus, explodes are common because of this. Other explodes are used for files, for obvious reasons. string.Explode is a perfectly legal and appropriate function for each instance of it's use in MOOCOW.
Why would people want to integrate with a shit admin mod?
I'm not "bashing" this mod
I see someone is celebrating 4/20 the way it should be. Jokes aside,
stop.

this.
thread.
Nobody cares about your opinions about how the syntax of this mod doesn't do something the way you want it to or how your e-penis was bruised by this Turck. You're not even giving constructive criticism anymore, your flinging your dick in everybody's face.
Does turck go into NewAdmin's thread and talk shit? No.
In the OP admin mods are directly bashed.
MOOCOW = Lots of clicks, not that good for an admin trying to get shit done QUICKLY, again I bring up the minge demonstration. Console command still has 5 arguements AFTER moocow, while ulx only has 3. NewAdmin, click and hit ban, ULX, same thing, click click click yer done, and ASSMod, oh that's eeeaaaasy, just scroll to menu, scroll to next menu, click and boom :L.
If you're so lazy to click 3 times, it's your problem.
Ok I'm going to admit I DID facepalm at the title. At first, I thought "God damn it ANOTHER admin mod", but now that I look at it it looks pretty detailed, but personally I think there's too many windows. If you've looked at Overv's NewAdmin menu, everything is in one menu, Banning, Actions, and all that. Ulx, 2 clicks to get to the necessary menus plus console AND chat commands. This, it just seems that you open up a menu, click, get another menu, click, get ANOTHER menu, and it continues until the 5th click where you can actually do something, and by that time the minge has already done his damage. What I'm suggesting is: TAKE OUT ALL THE FUCKING MENUS. Mind you I haven't tried this and I'm going on a lookover of the pics.
If you're so lazy to click those menus, it's your problem.
Just type in !tp in chat or ulx teleport in console and BOOM your there.
MOOCOW: Just type /teleport in chat or moocow teleport in console, and BOOM you're there. Your problem again.
And ye. If you're so lazy to write +6 letters. Your problem.
Requests:
1. disable spectating messages or made it visible for certain groups only
2. add player-grab feature for certain groups
Bugs:
1st: ban <name> <reason> dont works through console and chat
How to check?: add bot and print in chat /ban bot "you are crazy"
What do we get?: The cvar does not work.
2nd: cannot do permaban
How to check?: try to ban somebody with 0 amount and say him to come in your server
What do we get?: he'll do
3rd: cannot use "!" as command-sequence-letter
How to check?: try to put command_sequence "!" into settings.txt
What do we get?: exp: "!ban bot" will not work
4th: some strings triplicating
How to check?: try to use print ur unban function and look at the console
What do we get?: in console:
Josh unbanned FinDude
Josh unbanned FinDude
Josh unbanned FinDude

Requests:
1. Read about teams.txt in my wiki. By default, the caller and admins are the only ones who see it.
2. There is a flag for it - prop_protect_admin (or something like that)
1st: Elaborate
2nd: That used to be an issue, thought I fixed it - I'll check it again
3rd: I know for a fact that I have had that work. The problem in your case is not realizing you don't need the quotes.... just !, with what you have, you need "!"command_here in chat
4th: I'll look into it.
Thanks
Also you need to...hm add names for commands in GUI, cuz someone want to see like a
Goto
Ban
Disablekill
Jump
instead of
ban
jump
disablekill
slay
to make yur work simply, you can just add some lua command (i dont know anything in lua) to capitalize first letter of every word in gui. But it's your choise, i'd like little letters too =)
I can do that... I've got a function for capitalization already, I'll just call it.....
In the OP admin mods are directly bashed.
Not particularly. You are reading it wrong.
ULX is old (which it is! Came out really early on!), ASSMod is dying (not in development), and NewAdmin is poorly coded (which is true, it was something you made when you were a beginner. Things made by a beginner tend to be poorly coded). All are fairly accurate.
Wait, this sends data to client in strings? Or is that just storing data serverside and exploding? I'm confused...
Just storing data server side and exloding.... - some strings are sent over to the client side, but only when absolutely necessary, which is not often.
I advise you to use GLON (By Deco Da Man). And that's not just trolling around, it's actually really useful.
turck3, after fixing all bugs i've found, you will update SVN? u just cant wait =I
Just storing data server side and exloding.... - some strings are sent over to the client side, but only when absolutely necessary, which is not often.
Never send strings to clients, it's never needed, there is not one situation where needed.
As for storing serverside, that's fine, I store my data like that, it's human readable: (almost :P). It's loaded on int and that's it.
-;14788086']Never send strings to clients, it's never needed, there is not one situation where needed.
There is. A lot of ingame customization may require sending strings to clients. I don't know where you got the idea that sending strings is never needed.

I'll get around to some of them by this Monday... and updates will occur right after they're fixed.
