nvm lol
What's the point of marking yourself if you cant have multiple selve's like in SFM?
And why am I the only one in this thread anymore D:
is there a limit to how many animations are would help to stop lag on servers
Not yet. It's not designed for public servers.

With a STool you can aim at everything but not yourself. It enables you to run animations on yourself.
I'm uploading a video to YouTube of a small test I did in DMod, anyone interested in seeing it?
Why not?

Would it be at all possible to have actors like in SFM?
Would it be at all possible to have actors like in SFM?
Yes. It's on my to-do list. But I can't promise to realize it.

Damn nice job, i can foresee awesome machinimas with custom animation without learning 3D animating.
This is really no different in terms of animating. You still have to learn about animation, especially if you're going to quality.
How do you select multiple targets for 1 animation?
do I make things like "Candy1" "candy2" "candy3"
or do I have to put it in 1 line in console?
I just copy paste Jokes console command, and replace the mode, name and fps.
Edited the first post (Added "Current State" and the important message at the bottom).

Write three different commands and execute them. You can put them in a line, separated with ";", too.
For example:
dmod_anim Candy1 phys - dir/ +1,3,5 1 2 3

dmod_anim candy2 phys - dir/ +1,3,5 1 2 3

dmod_anim candy3 phys - dir/ +1,3,5 1 2 3
or:
dmod_anim Candy1 phys - dir/ +1,3,5 1 2 3; dmod_anim candy2 phys - dir/ +1,3,5 1 2 3; dmod_anim candy3 phys - dir/ +1,3,5 1 2 3
Is this going to be updated anytime soon?
Soo, this is how people like... make a Ragdoll kick another ragdoll, falling to the floor.
Also, if I use Flex, will everything work/be the same? besides Faceposing/fingerposing.
Is this going to be updated anytime soon?
Maybe not.
Also, if I use Flex, will everything work/be the same? besides Faceposing/fingerposing.
Yes.
Amazing work.
Maybe not.
Yes.
Why not? I really like this, and I'd love to see it continue, as would (I assume) pretty much everyone else.
Why not?
Because:
Currently, I hardly have the time to continue my work on DMod. I'm too busy and I don't know if I'll get enough time for this addon in the future.
[...]
Don't ask when and if these features will be released. I myself would like to have these questions answered, too.

Every suggestion is welcome. No need to apologize.
The next update will include the GUI. After that, I may rewrite the tutorial or work on a smoother interpolation technique which will be optional. The only problem here is the time. I have to do the more important things in real life first.
How about showing the video first before asking?
Really damn nice job man!
Keep it up :w00t:
Great mod, good work!
I am getting ghosts for ragdolls, but not for objects for some reason. They seem to delete when I hit undo, but I can not see them. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

It's a bug. Currently, DMod always creates ragdolls with the same model as the object as ghosts even if the object itself isn't a ragdoll. Thus creating ragdolls with non-ragdoll-models. I'll fix it as soon as I continue my work on DMod.

Thank you for the reply.
The only other problem I am having is that there seems to be something in the animations that might somehow be strangulating the memory. Sorry I don't know enough about this stuff technically to explain it, but it is something that is making it impossible to save and restore single player maps with the animation set up, and if I try to change video settings gmod completely freezes. I doubt this is much help, but I am trying. I would love to see this tool be the best it can be, because it is everything I could ever want for animation.
Regardless of the minor problems I have encountered, this is still already my favorite Gmod tool to date. Thank you very much for it!
I am working on a Halloween video to be featured by Machinima that I have decided to use this tool almost exclusively in. I will certainly give you a huge credit, and hopefully it will help generate a little more well deserved attention to it.
Edit:
When I use only 0 after the animation and keyframe per sec, rather then using 1-1, I don't seem to have near as many memory issues.
Another great work around is just saving the map with the ragdolls (no animation), then start the dmod_anim
This mod is the next step of gmod advancement. The first is creating the scenes for taking the pictures, but now everyone can make the scenes for movie. Garry has lost that initiative, it should've been made by him.
Just finished this test video:

Definitely an awesome addon. My one real problem with it is that the ghosts are a little too opaque, which makes it hard to animate if there are too many, but using the maximum ghost option will probably solve that.
I thought I read a post, or saw a video, regarding finger poser in Dmod, but I just couldn't find it again. I tried to test finger poser with both a phys and flex scene, but couldn't get it to work. Is there a method to implement finger poses with Dmod currently?
