If you want to add me on steam I can make you a mod of the Steam group so you can do exactly that.
Until i graduate Morbus won't get love, and after I do graduate I'm probably going to be working on Morbus inside of UE4.
I'm going to be hosting Morbus again really soon. I've also been helping people set their servers up a bit better. Oh, and I'm going to be making a bunch more maps.
I wont let Morbus die.

With the new Garrysmod update Morbus seems broken.
Every weekend we play Morbus with 10-20 players in a private lobby (server) and yesterday the voice chat and the flashlight doesn´t work anymore.
I hope you have the time to fix the problem, because we have alot of fun with this great gamemode ;)
... We use Morbus 1.5.6a with the bugfixes that you made. (like the aiming bug)

I'm already looking into it. There should be a patch out for it sometime later next week.
There also might have been one other bug but I don't remember. If you find anything else, let me know.

People still play this game even though the creator died.

In fact I'm still working on it while you're away... xd
Also, any issues with Morbus since the last Gmod Update are being looked into.

It doesn't, there is an overlay stuck on the players screen that covers the HUD makes everything hard to see

I never got this, could you take a screenshot and post any errors that maybe show up?

Only addon installed is ULX, otherwise it's a fresh install. Only happens as human but Alien is fine.

That is caused when you RDM too much.
That is caused when you RDM too much.
Happened on initial spawn, no rdm was done
There's obviously still something a little off with Sanity. You don't get any errors upon start up?

In TAB my sanity is 0, I deleted sv.db and it's still 0
Hello, everyone! I've been somewhat put in charge of updating Morbus since Remscar is busy, so in saying that I'll present my first update, also please let me know immediately if there are still any problems:
Download: https://github.com/Remscar/Morbus/archive/demonkush.zip
Changes:
- Fixed head bobbing / aiming issue.
- Fixed blaster errors.
- Fixed bodies persisting after round end. ( I'm 99% sure this is fixed now )
- Fixed ZX9 model scaling.
- Hotfixers are defaulted to false.
- AFK kicker ignores admins.
- Scoreboard no longer checks for version. ( I don't think its very tedious to change a single number every update and it didn't really work anyway. )
You're welcome, and enjoy.
Is this the latest updated one? Or were can i find that?
Is there any chance of this game-mode getting different gametypes? I've always thought it be cool if there was a game type to repair the ships engine systems and what not to try and get off of it. You could have players start off in a quarantine area and then have the announcements tell you that there will not be any chance of evacuation because of meteors and stuff outside.
You could then have the players startup/fix the auto turret missiles outside and then have them attempt to fix the engine. Instead of them just fixing it and everything being safe the engine could blow and cause a race from the back of the ship to the front to get to the evacuation ship that had landed while stuff is catching on fire in the back slowly moving forward.
The aliens could have a nice elaborate system of ventilation shafts to burst out of and kill humans.
The aliens could also be upgraded to climb on the ceiling and such.
This is all just ideas.
I have always preferred morbus over TTT because it solves the whole "Nothing to do but wait for the guy to kill me" thing. I also see it as having way more potential in the future.
Trying to set up a server again using workshop and its a real pain in the arse. The maps/content are too big to download from workshop on a dedicated server so have to download them in gmod client and ftp them over manually. But they don't contain the arming txt files, so have to redownload the complete addons from moddb just to get a few kb of text files. Then discover that the workshop gamemode is out of date by 1 version. :suicide:
Is the one linked above the most recent version? I assume it is since the last update on the moddb page was Nov 13th 2013 but that download above was updated May 2014

Wget https://github.com/Remscar/Morbus/archive/master.zip
Unzip master.zip

Why not do that?
This is the latest version of Morbus: http://www.remscar.com/morbus/downloads/MorbusGamemode-1.5.6a.zip ( It's also on Github: https://github.com/Remscar/Morbus/tree/demonkush )
I recommend you guys use Remscar's site to acquire the gamemode and maps. The workshop version isn't up to date and many people have had issues trying to run the gamemode that way. ModDB is probably ancient too.
The only reason you should need the workshop version for is content, if you didn't want to use fastdl. ( You should also be able to find most Morbus maps and arm files on Remscar's site, and my Workshop page. http://steamcommunity.com/id/Demonkush/myworkshopfiles/ )

Why the disagree that is the latest version of morbus and the easiest way to download it onto a server? You literally just copied and pasted what I said to do. :v:
Also on a side note you honestly shouldn't be using the workshop as a way to put the game-mode onto your server because the author can easily just f you over.

Yes our whole clan preferred morbus over TTT too.
In TTT you can die at the beginning and then you have to wait a long time. Thats a big anonying point, because when i log into a game i just want to play the game!
It´s like somebody take the controller out of your hands when you die.
