dije, it mean that glyphs would have to be modeled. Making one glyph, and rotating,skinning it it's the best sollution.
Wow, it's so hard to get any response here, when I'm asking for new features during coding. Instead, we always get spammed to add features, when coding job is finished.
Does rings should have custom name and address? Option for making them private / disabling them both via gui and wire? Some options that rings will not be activated by using Dial Nearest? (usefull for ships).
Or maybe completly other adressing system, that rings does not have adress, instead we are entering a range, to look for rings (they automatically find rings with specified range)? As really, I don't believe rings system ever had any adresses. If yes, then it would be impossible for Daniel to call Ori rings on Mothership from Koroliev.
maybe for rings they should be like the universe gates in the way they have names and address but they can only dial rings with in a range that can be set in the server settings

@Lantian, hmm htat's one of the ideas. I'm still think about removing adresses at all.
@dije, I don't get it. You want to make all glyphs on texture and enable them via skins? If yes, then it's not possible. There are billions of combinations.

Always doesn't work ... ( 2days now ... )

Cleanup, redownload/reinstall whatever SVN client you're using, I hope it's TortoiseSVN as it's the best

Just follow my tutorial. It doesn't just help with "locked" error but with other errors too. If it's not working
then try 10 minutes later.

@AlexALX, that's the point. There are buttons, not numbers or so. It was never mentioned, that the ring system use predefined addresses per ring base. It was your words, to make stargate's in gmod more realistic. In my idea buttons would define a range, that rings looks for other rings, or something simmilar, iI didn't thought a lot about it yet.
@dije, now I get it. The problem with that is that atlantis glyphs are much more complicated than sgu one and it would increase pollycount. It would be easier to do it via one glyph model with different skins. You have to rotate that dummy model even on sgu gates. So on atlantis we would rotate it and change it's skin.
@All. I'm looking for 1-2 beta testers. Anyone wanna be?
Beta testers for what?
For my svn:

What SVN client are you using? What version? Tortoise SVN should be 1.7 or something. As I said try redownloading or reinstalling your SVN client, try to redownload CAP in another folder (do you have the CAP folder in some weird directory like on an external harddrive?)
I using Tortoise SVN last version 64bits system
Redownload SVNTortoise => FAIL
Redownload CAP => FAIL
Other folder => FAIL
....
CAP is on my HDD, not external
Did you really try to redownload CAP that fast? Or does it just stand like that when you start the download? You tried it in a different directory? Maybe you have a download limit on your bandwidth I don't know lol it's a local problem as no one else is reporting it

It looks like you need to reinstall TortoiseSVN. If it doesn't work try to redownload CAP. Well... i don't know what's the problem.
I'm willing to be a beta tester.
Both, pm me on steam. Beta testing is now close, no more ppl is needed. Thanks.
neat now you'll be our slaves forever!

Fuck. If you meant me as one of the testers, sorry but i cant. Something very important happened an hour ago. I won't be online for 2-3 days.
@cartman300: For my SVN i have already testing that ...
Late to the party but I'd be willing to bugtest for anything.
I'm available 2 to 11 EST with few interruptions on almost every day.

Makeing it very complex might not be a good idea, you might see that people dont understand rings and dont use them. the address system would be better.
Can I be one tester

Madman: My SBEP ships use a pair of rings in close proximity (within 10), controlled by an e2 chip. To EVA on the ship, both rings are enabled and i just dial nearest, to beam to another platform, I just disable the outside ring and dial nearest again. I'd like to see that feature kept. Probably some wire string entries too. I think the rings should act like stargates in the way they're addressed and reachable but with less restrictions on name size and type perhaps.
EDIT: Also, if i get as far as being able to take a crack at the SGA/SGU gates, i'll jump off the glyph bridge when I come to it. There's no guarentees I'll even be able to get a working SG1 gate out of Maya at the moment!
