Just on a side note.... Does anyone happen to have any good reference pictures of the pop-up C02 vents for the destiny stargate? If i knew i was building gates back when propworx was auctioning i'd have gotten this info, but he got it for me :) Cross sections, layout of the shapes under the chevrons, chevron sizes, perfect! I can't wait to throw this on an SG1 and Atlantis gate model tonight and see how well it turns out.

I got interested in it because of the stargates I saw on youtube. But having almost no servers, and bad working addons made me buy it. And so came the steam invasion in my life, since then steam has eaten a lot of my money. :3

Me to. I bought gmod because avon pack didn't wanted to work for me. And I also got a CSS, and I play it sinca that time :)
i have a problem. i can't see the unstable vortex and the glyphs on the universe gate r lit up all the time

I got GMod from looking at Mantis's stargate tutorials, downloaded Avon's stargates, then eventually got CAP! :D
Im editing the eventhorizon establish texture to make it as good as possible i will post screenshots or vids to show you my work
Hmm...it's not looking really good ... because the starting EH of kawoosh doesnt looked in series like this ... i can say IT's ugly ... srry but i will prefer like it is now. //edit: i hate if somebody edit his post when i already posted my opinion ...

if the texture wouldn't scroll as much and perhaps just "ripple" like the eh does but with much less distortions, then it could look just right. ^^ ps: although i was about to play portal 2...i'm kinda fired up now for giving this a try and to create a texture aswell :D
If anyone can make some good one than its good for me and i'll add it under explicit review ofc!

my problem is that we see the eh under the texture, and i don't know how to change it (alpha i think). If anyone knows (by lua i meen) how to do that, i will make a great one.

I'm still working on it.[/QUOTE] The EH is not supposed to scroll as stated + the quality of the texture is really crappy (not the kawoosh, it's default..)

Is it just me or is your unstable vortex a little longer than usual?
My only tip for making it better is to make the texture flow outwards from the centre of the event horizon, not look like water flowing upwards. Remember the effect you're trying to achieve, the effect was created by firing a jet pump at a calm surface of water in someone's swimming pool. So the ripples should be flowing outwards from the "impact" point. if you fix that, the effect would be perfect.
