i'm no coder, but... perhaps if you copy the lines of code which create the kwoosh and repaste them a 2nd. time, only now: you delete the parameter which tells it to "shoot" forward... increase the particle-number, to fill in the gaps inbetween... while at the same time you decrease the particle-size, in order to avoid particles showing up inside the symbol ring EDIT: i found the .lua for the kwoosh. am currently experimenting a bit with the values (svn checkout incase the file becomes corrupt) EDIT2: forget the "copy/paste" idea...it doesn't work xD
i have something nice, but the eh is translucent after kawoosh ending. Is any lua coder knows how we can realize my idea ?

It would probably be easier to make the effect you described that way.

i need some help, i have a fresh install of gmod and i installed wiremod and CAP and everytime i spawn a gate it says there was a loading error and that "wiremod not found or wrong installed"

Guys, I was working on changing sound scheme of the SGU Gate (I wanted to make newer sounds for myself, or maybe offer it for public). Well, I have a problem with ring rolling sound. It doesn't loop and some time ago I thought about expanding it's duration but I changed my mind. Maybe you can help me with this? It will be pretty hard cuz I don't know any other episodes except Air Part 3, where there are sounds for the gate without any music and talking. [B]UPD:[/B] Done with sounds. Just I want it to work propely but I don't even know Lua language.[/QUOTE] idk what the slow problem is, but this sometimes happens with me. not all the time though. the sounds may not be "good" but i shouldn't really criticize because i think it would be a good idea to add some Concept gates to CAP and this gate's sound are sort of Concept because they aren't the real sounds. so sorry for saying they suck
Actually I ripped them out right from the Stargate Universe series, then worked on them in Sony Vegas. Well, I think sounds are pretty good. I tried to make them as close as original ones but with better quality.
