I'm writing to this forum to ask for your help. I've made a Gmod server via HLDS, and installed the Stargate Mod (I really like it), but when I join the game I cannot access the Stargate options (or whatever) tab in the menu. When I'm playing in SP, I can access it so I'm able to put down Iris, etc. However this doesnt work in Mp. I've the Evolve administration mod installed.
I hope you'll be able to help me out.

in my opinion I've installed the Carter's addon pack successefully, but here's a screenshot about it's addons folder:

I also got wiremod, which works perfectly. I can put down stargates btw.
Have you tried it with just Wire and CAP? Are you set to admin on the server?
Yeah, he done everything exactly correctly. This doesn't work on any server. Not even on mijyuoons.

I think art of war was in the process of coding some wraith weapons but idk all the details.
i just realized this is stargate but there's no replicators or anything replicator (excluding stuff CREATED BY the asurans)

Because first, something broke in the first stun entity I made after a GMod update, so I started working on the P90 instead (or something, it was so long ago), then the second stun entity I used for the kull disruptor broke when MM removed aVoN's staff_pulse entity which I based it upon and replaced it with his own energy_pulse. No matter what I did (damage blocking, lowering velocity etc) the energy_pulse kept killing NPCs and other players whereas the old one I based on staff_pulse stunned them (as soon as the one based on energy_pulse hit something, it instantly died). And as MM refused to include staff_pulse in CAP after it was replaced, I quit.
Plus, ragdoll-stunning isn't exactly perfect in GMod; the way it was a stunned player's ragdoll could be moved any distance with the physgun or otherwise (indicating that it wouldn't work well in sandbox), and still reappear after the set stun-time at the spot where the player in question was stunned: This is of course reworkable, but at the time albeit with too many bugs to be worthy of further investigation. The hand pussy was okey, but I stopped working on it after MM made his own, don't know what happened to that one though...

This may seem like a stupid question, but seeing as Madman (that is who I assume you refer to as MM) has left, why not ask alex or boba, or whoever is now the leader of Carters Pack to include it, if you present them with a working wraith stunner they may include it.

A bit tacky and very basic, but is a replicator pack. The bugs sometimes have a bug when they just stand there and don't attack, but I spawned like 100, then they started working again.

yeah, i have that. i haven't tested it yet though i was going to soon
It's all happened because I've increased speed for pulses (oh god, old bullets was like running small kid, so slow). I've also recoded most of pulse weapon thing (it was required because of velocity change). Now, I have no idea why it killed ppl, it shouldn't. However, i can't spy it right now. I've already removed cap and gmod.
My wraith hands, they are probably gone long time ago. I've stopped working on them when i saw that someone was coding them for some gamemode.

The models for the weapons are in the file, and more stuff unfinished
That doesn't mean that the staff_pulse entity must be removed, especially in the case where someone was using it.

Hey guys, first off, amazing mod! I love it, great job. However, I ran into this problem and I wonder if anyone can help, because I have no idea what am I doing wrong...
On maps with pre-spawned gates, everything works just fine. But when I spawn a new gate and try to assign an address to it, it just says "Editing..." forever and nothing happens, when I close the window and open it again the address is gone. Any idea what am I doing wrong?

energy_pulse is better than staff_pulse because it runs more efficient, and as MM said it's more realistic in terms of how it handles the velocity and the part where the damage is dealt is different, but it's not so different from staff_pulse, which was what aVoN (and CAP) used as a base entity for all other energy SWEPs before energy_pulse.
I think he didn't want to include it again after he switched because his is truly better for killing SWEPs, sadly it just didn't work for me. And I can hardly blame him as the kull disruptor and the LaserEx laser pointer were both W.I.P and as such technically and practically not included in the official CAP download.
@MM: I also thought that was the problem, but it can't be the velocity itself as I tried lowering it to less than 3000 and less than 1000 with the same result, but I guess it could be something with the way it handles the velocity, I don't really remember.. I tried that damage blocking you suggested but to no avail.

I've also ran into this problem. It seems that if the address contains a character that is used for the Groups (I,M,P etc.), then the address fails. Make sure you set an address with a group.

Tried, didn't work :( even if just set 'Z' as an address and any group, it just stays at "Editing..." and disappears when I close the window.
If I set just the group, it saves. If I put something in the address first and then change the group, none of it saves.

The address needs to be 6 characters long, not just 1.

So I've just finished coding the Wraith Blaster and Wraith Hands. Will probably release them tomorrow, or later today (25/07/12).

From what I remember that specific blaster is just kill, or am I mistaken? (I know there is a staff wraith stunner and a hand gun, but I can't find the models for those).
