Server never went to shit, we just got DDoS'd (which is very very common and "normal" for a popular server) and didn't have the proper capacity to handle the attacks, but now I invested a large sum of money into proper hardware and we're good to go for life.
And yes, we reset the database, but everyone is pretty much settled and LP$ is flowing in the server economy.
