Idea: Then don't download it. It really doesn't matter. People like guns, so other people make them. If you don't like them, don't download them. Or try to learn some lua and make some interesting weapons. Who knows, you might come up with something nice!

I don't know about you, but I really doubt I'm the only coder around here that has disdain for people like kermite that copy and paste a template and get mass praise for it when there's so many useful and entertaining things out there that get ignored by everyone just because it isn't a stupid SWEP that shoots bullets, not to mention ones that [b]get credited as the original creator of such things when they're using an age-old template made by someone completely unrelated to them.[/b] Why is a very well-coded ent like PlayX being ignored and the shitty Youtube Player being favored over it? Why is a superior SWEP, with [b]50+ firemodes[/b], the Scavenger Cannon being ignored?
What I'm getting at is people make interesting and amazing things, then they get completely overshadowed by generic gun bullshit. At least packs like the Mad Cows Weapons brings some extra to the table like bullet ricocheting and real aiming, but there's absolutely no reason things like Kermite's shit should even be considered over half of these other scripts just because he stole some shitty models from FPSB.
and if you're wondering, most of my scripts are private and on my server just to prevent them from getting butchered by kids.

holy shit. i agree, and i love mad cows... but i hate the crosshairs. i love the custom ammo though, that's pretty uncommon. i tried to upload an improved version of kermites with custom ammo types to gmod.org.. but the fucker wouldn't accept it... too big.

I would suggest 2 things, 1. Get off kermites path, dont do a crap load of diffrent models. and 2. Go for something... Original, check out _Kilburns melanium .357 that is VERY original. Just get a good idea in your head then go for it.
