Forgive me for being off-topic, but considering we need RD2 and LS2 to make a powered-up ZPM for shooting the weapons I figured this might be a good place to ask... Since I put in RD2 and LS2, my shield (under the Stargate tab) doesn't work. It charges, but when I activate it I see a status that QUICKLY blinks from "(On)" to "(Off)" and gives me a sound of either not activating (the sound you get when you activate it but it's not charged enough) [I]or[/I] if I hook a ZPM to it it'll act like it [I]was[/I] activated and is being deactivated. ... Short of it is, my shield is screwed up. Any fixes? Thanks!

Thanks![/QUOTE] Because you now use rd2 and ls2 Stargate ZPM config kicks in and since the the value for the zpm power output and capacity in Stargate config is rather low you will need 3 ZPMs to power the shield. Or you could just change the values for the ZPM higher but remember don't set it like Power output: 500000000000 and Capacity:500000000000 otherwise it will deplete as soon as you use it so set it to something like output: 50000 and Capacity 500000000000. Stargate config at located at Addons/stargate/data/stargate/config.ini //Notice Don't edit config.ini create a second file there called user_config.ini then copy and paste all the stuff from config.ini over to user_config.ini then edit accordingly.

I think I'll take out RD & LS and wait for the Stargate Weapons add-on to get better. I kinda like being able to spawn my shield emitter and hitting "3" on the numpad to activate it to be done with it. :) (That and I won't run into ZPMs when using this in a Jumper and entering/exiting.)
Ouo new, rev15 has came. First, before updating delete old folder or don't complain on errors - i recompiled my models (damn collision models... now railgun view works good). Weapons can kill the shields. For advenced users see txt. Stationary railgun works without zpm. I changed aiming method, so guns should aim just there, where u want. For now textures of my weps are grey, if montross will make beter - i will upload them.

Thanks![/QUOTE] [b]ACTUALLY,[/b] the real answer to this is it is a glitch, and I recently discovered what exactly the deal is here with this shield problem. You have 3 options: 1) Supply a shit-ton of power directly to the shield and hope it powers it up. ("shit-ton" = 30-50)[lol] 2) Decrease the radius of the shield so the ZPM can provide enough juice to power it. or [b]3) Spawn a Resource Cache or Energy Cell (both from LS) and spawn a ZPM on that then link the cache/cell to the shield and you don't have to worry about the radius of the shield or supplying more power to the shield.[/b] Basically the problem is that the power that the shield stores is less than is required to power the shield itself. When the shield "powers up" it doesn't take the energy directly from the ZPM but instead takes the energy from the "imaginary energy cache" that the shield has. That "imaginary energy cache" is lower than the total amount of energy that is required to power the shield. And so, when a ZPM is attached directly to the shield the shield is only storing the set amount of energy in its "imaginary energy cache" that it can hold. Furthermore, when the shield is connected to a LS Cache or Cell the shield also pulls the energy in from that and the energy from those caches [b]is[/b] enough to power the shield so the shield powers up. [b]OH[/b] and the shield's "imaginary energy cache" is ONLY NOT BIG ENOUGH when the radius of the shield is higher than a certain amount. That's why attaching a ZPM to it when it has a low radius does work. Just if anyone was interested in exactly why/how this is screwed up ^_^ ...and now I don't know how to fix it [although I'm certain I [i]could[/i] fix it, I just don't care to] (...and yes I'm sure it can be fixed by editing certain files :D)

For now textures of my weps are grey, if montross will make beter - i will upload them.[/QUOTE] i noticed a few things.. the asgard beam needs to have the power increased... back to the fisrt one where youd shoot a sheild 3 shots its down... now it shoots one its down but when you shoot the jumper or npc it takes 20 hits.. also on the asgard beam it used to be slower when fireing so you see the end of the beam fly though the air.. in the show you see the beam the front of it and the rear.. see the video [URL]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMUOkFVqARo[/URL] notice how when fireed you see it go out but slow and not instantly hit the target then you see the end of the beam.. that would be a acurate version of it.. your first atempt you got the rear to do that but not front.. and the beam needs to be more alighed to the crosshairs.. now it sorta fires at the top of them at the top head of npc etc.. just stuff i noticed..

Edit the stargate config located in addons/stargate/data/stargate/config.ini // Notice Do not edit config.ini, create your own custom config called user_config.ini then copy the functions over from config.ini to user_config.ini. When you edit it you will have 2 choices 1) Decrease the needed power to turn sheild on and the power needed to sustain it. (remove spaces).
I can get hold of LS2 or RD2 anywhere :( So if you could make everything work with LS3 and RD3 then that would be awesome =D

Works great but I get an Error Message when I shoot to long with the Destiny turrets... but it works

Did you modify a config file, or do you have another add-on that's helping you? Updated: Hud Iziraiders destiny Pulse Cannon Texture And added new base texture for madman's models whit of course normals, speculars and phong.
Stationary railgun does no damage for me.
And? Maybe something more? What addon u have, what exactly u doing?
thank you madman, this latest update brought a great deal more stability for me! Except for the asgard beam which crashed game when I tried to attach chair to it, but I only tried once, so probably just an unlucky chance.

My weapons work with and without RD and LS. I tested them on my pc. Maybe u making something wrong? Try to wiring it.
