well use a target finder, but wire some crap between it and teh gun so it aims it like 5 units above teh targat
im not that good at wire
its not that hard... just have an add chip, a constant value, and just add teh constant value to the z value on teh target finder, then z from the gun to the add. it will add 5 to the z axis

Dude, you're just reading in my mind! After seeing the asgard beam picture I ran to ask you to add it to the SVN, thanks buddy, you're making an amazing job! EDIT: updated my SVN, went on gmod and spawned the asgard cannon but... there aren't any input/output, it's like a simple prop :/

Tryed with a chair, still not working. I managed to make it "light" a few secs by pressing left click, but they it turned off and won't turn on again.
Did you target to some entity? It won't fire without any target.

Thanks, it works now. But why can't we shoot just where we want to shoot? Why don't you also add input/output? EDIT: Bug found! Here's what I get while shooting on an NPC: entities/asgard_beam/init.lua:143: Tried to use a NULL entity! The NPC died and the cannon itself actually worked, but there still this error.
Madman, I really must say your Lua skills have increased tremendously since you first started with the railgun. What weapons are you going to do next?
Asgard Beam doesnt have any wire outputs or inputs for me :/ and the rail gun doesnt aim right im using the vector input to a adv pod controler
-> iamcll, I will try to make that railguns will shot a bit upper. -> Opto, I will add wire input\outputs, its just early stage beta :) I don't know why, it's just more interesting, when u can't shot to anything, only props ;p And i never saw, that BC-304 shoot to nothing, even if some ship is moving (like escaping Michael) it will shoot that. Assassin21 is making Tollan Ion Cannon and Death Glider, maybe i will ask him for making Dorandan Cannon ([url]http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/Dorandan_firing_unit[/url]) or I will do it my self, otherwise i plan to make Ori Satellite, Ha'tak/Wraith/Asgard/Destiny main weapons (they all are similar) :) -> yuriman, Like I said, i will fix both things. If u want to control it by adv pod controller, it's much easier to wire Entity output to "adv pod controller" input or hit railgun with ur chair to link them together.

I already mentioned the input/output missing and also the rail gun aiming was also mentioned earlier.

For those who truely do suck at wiring, wire a on the add to the target finders z, and then b on it to the constant value. Then wire z on teh railgun/asgard cannon (if it has problems) to the add. Not that hard people...
For the destiny cannon, I can give you the sounds of them, I got ep11 on my computer.

That UV map was made just for my textures. If somebody wanna make better textures then I can change UV map. According to entities icons - look very nice. If u don't wanna share - it's ur problem, not mine. Maybe someone elsse will help with textures.
