Ok new version update - more at next week cuz i will have more free time i think. Important things: Asgard Beam now works if RS2 - u need zpm in order to work. It again hit and drain shields (garry broke somethin but it works now). U can fire everything on map, even sky (be careful, it can crash ur game without any reason). I disabled wire for now. Staff weapon - it not require a zpm now, so just spawn and shoot. Montross made for us new icons and textures for railguns and asgard beams so say him "thanks" :) Ori sattelite and Horizon - just after I will finish Daedalus. I will upload textures after weekend, i dont have time for that ;/

i have some ideas and i don't knw if it's possible to do them: 1.make a server to server hyperdrive(because of the little maps) 2.i may create a server to server stargate (the same reason) please tell me if the first point is possible
I think avon said something about moving props/entities from 1 server to a other using a supergate and its impossible.

Hmm its quite cool idea. It's much easier to make that with hyperdrive. Just start loading some server (at the same time make hyperspace animation), when map is loaded spawn our ship and us in ship. It can be harder with stargates: first u need to detect name of prop. Also gates need to be synchronized. Rest is simply. Also, if u would travel to the same map it could befaster (cuz we don't need to load it again? ).

Just updated to revision 11, but found out that the asgard has been reverted to the old chair touch way. Or is it just a conflict with wire?
There are problems. All entities with wire are admin-spawnable only, i have no idea why. I suppose that i have to write own wire function (just like aVoN did).
the asgard beam is jerky and slow.. when shot it paues for a split second half way then hits then does it again at the end of the beam.. its not smooth like it originally was
It can't be done with gates as we know them. But an inter-server hyperspace window would be interesting...and pointless, but interesting.

Or, when used, hyperspace makes all props and stuff going into it disappear, place it outside the map, create a model to play the effect around the props, and randomly create a movement vector. When the user presses the exit button, all props are placed to the vector's current position.
Something with model clipping, or just magically appearing in the middle of an effect? Sounds more likely to be the second one for a looooong time.
Well, except for the gates, SG never used "model clipping". There were some fancy effects on the ship, but it came out totally from HS in a second. After weekend iwill wrote some wire library (similar to aVoN wire library) and we will have wire ;]
don't forget to add that you can shoot trough stargate's whit the railgun and asgard weapon.
Madman07: If I play online, the server I usually play on has a different version (older) so it has wire support. But I don't like the idea of going up to a server every time I want to test my next E2 control system.

montross, u can shoot with railguns trough stargate. I don't know if i should mkae the same thing for asgard beam. It can take much time ;/ the fonix232, i said that i will add wire but not now. I don't have my pc so i can't do anything. And if server have older version - talk with admin ;]
I'm happy that it has an older (and edited) version because as it is, it is capable to do much more thing.
What did he edited? Newest version canshoot anything, not only entities (but i will remove that, it can crash game);p
As far as I know, he edited some little values, like the damage and max radius, fastened up it a bit (the ray goes faster) and when it shoots an entity it is shot at the point I am aiming.

Try removing all addons, and re-enter them one at a time.

Newest version canshoot anything, not only entities (but i will remove that, it can crash game);p[/QUOTE] yea mine finally froze my screen.. so you might want to optimize it to shoot anything... and i removed all my addons and it still pauses for a split second mid way the hits then the back end of the beam pauses... so you either have to optimize your code or make sure you didnt miss anything.. it didnt crash on any map i had except sandbox then it crashed
Like i said in first post, its wip and have many bugs. I will try to do something with that, thx for info.
when I fire the ship railguns from the chair, it fires maybe 20 rounds then freezes gmod. I don't think this is conflicting addons as i cleared out my addons folder earlier today. It is also not computer failing to perform as if I look at the computers stats, it is not overly stressed (CPU and RAM under half utilized) This occurs whatever you shoot at (ground, prop, entity (puddlejumper in this case)) this is shaping up to be a great mod, but a little bit more stability over new features would go a long way to making it greater!
