I can make that asgard beam will work with gates, but why? We never saw that and, for me, it's a bit pointless...
I was hoping that by the rest of my comment and other people's comments you could tell that I was talking about in inter-server stargate...
Cackles4EVA, I have no idea why that happend. It's staff ammo code, it shouldn't crash ur game. Maybe aVoN had right, maybe it's time to change that code to something else ;p
Update! ;] Added wire to everything (hope it will work on server). Added RD2 support - u can plug it to zpm ;] Asgard Beam shoot only to entities, otherwise it will crash the game/server. Little suprise - Destiny turret :) Now thinking on Ori sattelite, Horizon, Tollana Ion Cannon.

oh also the asgard beam can yo umake it target npc's and props/// so if i want to make something with a sheild or without i can shoot it.. you dont have to do the world thing just props and npcs
Hmm did those turrets shoot in dual mode? I don't romember... Yea yesterday i noticed wire problems. Will be repaired soon. I'm coding only weapons for now. Asgard beam shoot to all entities - to props and NPC as well.
For some reason, the only working weapon is the staff. All the others won't fire.
Did u have RS? If yes, then connect them to some power source (ZPM).
Did u have RS? If yes, then connect them to some power source (ZPM).
I have RS, and yes. I've connected them to a zpm. Even tried some other power sources.
What version? On rd2 everything works perfect. Try to connect power to standing part of weapons.
-snip got it working. Isn't it supposed to fire a little faster?
I was reading your posts, and I had an idea for the asgard beam: You said it's hard to make the asgard beam shoot though a stargate, well I may found an idea to make it much simpler. You made the asgard beam only shoot entities right? Well, make it so when the asgard beam shoots the stargate, the beam go straight to the wormhole and get to the other gate directly! Hope you understood my idea, and sorry if my english is not good, I'm french.
can you make it also rd 3 ready and ::::: LS 3 ready please
Nah, it shoot with good speed. Its not so simple. Beam is just a laser and it couldnt be cutted in middle. We need to create 2 laser which can be much harder. If stargates are rd3 compatibile, then my weapons too :)
After your Update on SVN the Railgun dont work in my Game =(
Maybe something else? What part not working? Some errors on the screen? If u have rd, zpm plugged?
I dont see any Errors and dont Use the ZPM Mod. The Agard Beam Weapon still works and the Destiny turret hm I can only Rotate it when I sit in a Chair. The Railgun dont move and dont shoot, destiny doesn´t shoot too. Edit: The Stationary Railgun dont Work too >_< this is bad I love this guns.
Maybe something else? What part not working? Some errors on the screen? If u have rd, zpm plugged?
nevermind it works now :-) and wow nice work madman07 you even got the projectiles looking like the show and even the smoke when shot and the asgard weapon now shoots npc and props... cant wait for your other stuff .. the only thing i can think of is the dest turret need the smoke effect shorter there pretty long effects.. maybe closer to the barrel say in relative terms 1 foot from barrel end and in sorta a smoke color that resembles the show more youtube if you search it search destiny weapons it shows all the shooting of them so far its perfect
Hey again, I try out your Update now I can Turn the Ship Railgun but I could only shoot with the Asgard Beam weapon, destiny gun rotating but no shoot. And stationary railgun wont shoot too... so good luck for the rest of the Day
could someone please give me a text guide (just a few lines) on what components I need and how to wire so I can fire at things using gps output from becon sensor and target finder (without the use of E2, just using normal wire components?)

It will aim where you point your crosshair ( if you have d2 and ls2 you will need to add a power source to the turret, this can be done by spawning a Zero Point Module on the base of the turret ). You could also just wire entity option on the turret to 1_entity ( depends on how many targets you selected for the target finder to target so it could be 2_entity or 3_entity ) on the target finder ( no becon sensor needed ).
When I mean guide on wiring the kind of format I am after is: Components:

1
2
3
4
etc...
Wire: A on whatever to A on other A on other to entity on button (this is obviously nonsense, I am just suggesting a style that would be clear and easy to understand.) If someone could lay this out for me I would be grateful
New update (and i think the one of the last in that week (let's hope that i'm wrong)). Asgard Beam can be unstable (even crash ur game) - still working on it. Now wire works perfect in single and multi. All entities are frozen after spawn (God, i was looking for that since ages). Only Staff don't have wire and don't require for ZPM. If someone want to change weapons power, then read AdvencedUsers.txt.

Step 2) Spwan a chair/seat from the vehicles tab in the spawn menu. Step 3) Pickup the chair and push it up against the bottom of the weapon ( Must be the bottom ) Step 4) Goto the spawn menu then to the Stargate tab over in the tools side of the spawn menu and select Zero Point Module then spawn it on the bottom of the weapon. Your done now the weapon will fire where you aim using your crosshair while you are in the chair/seat // Notice only follow step 4 if you have Recourse Distribution 2 and Life support 2 You can find them 2 mods here http://thecreeper.co.uk/blog/?page_id=18 Advanced way of using the weapons Things you need

Numpad Input
Target Finder
Power Source ( Only if you have Recourse Distribution 2 and Life support 2 )
Step 1 ) Spawn the weapon Step 2) Spawn Numpad input ( Located at wire - I/O ) ( Any key of your choice ) Step 3) Using wire advanced or wire tool wire fire and activate to the numpad. // Noitce Some weapons like the railgun have a reload option, you will need to wire a second numpad to the reload option on the turret. Step 4) Spawn a target finder and wire Entity [Entity] to 1_ent [Entity] on the target finder ( depends on how many targets you selected for the target finder to target so it could be 2_entity or 3_entity ). // Notice Picking the settings for the target finder is very easy just select the min range and max range then what you want to target. Step 5) Goto the spawn menu then to the Stargate tab over in the tools side of the spawn menu and select Zero Point Module then spawn it on the bottom of the weapon. // Notice only follow step 4 if you have Recourse Distribution 2 and Life support 2 You can find them 2 mods here http://thecreeper.co.uk/blog/?page_id=18 Alternatively if you know how to code in e2 you could just make your self one and wire it up to the turret.
That method works for the railguns, but has never worked for the asgard beam for some reason. Also, do I need to add power to the weapons is I don't have LS2, but do have LS3? Thanks EDIT: Having re-read your post, I realize I have not been pushing chair against the bottom of asgard beam, I will try that now thx
If it works for rd2/ls2 then it works for rd3/ls3. The asgard beam now works in a manner of speaking, it does fire, and does hit and destroy a puddlejumper, it sadly crashes the game straight after, I don't know what I did :O

Also did you update the mod?
