That's been common knowledge since TS. But that's just the problem with that, they used silos back in C&C 95. Not to mention, the sound waves used come from GDI technology, and Nod is considerably more savvy in the workings of Tiberium. And it should be noted that Tiberium is farely common, so any monitary value gained would have to be through minerals extracted from the compound. Tiberium's chemical composition can be seen in a cutscene from C&C 95 that explains the alien element. Tiberium itself only makes up about 1.5% of the crystal formation.

Perhaps you can manufacture your own tiberium:
Phosphor: 42.5%
Iron: 32.5%
Calcium: 15.25%
Copper: 5.75%
Silica: 2.5%
Unknown: 1.5%
So if you want to reach out to the Gcombat community again, rather than using RD, which they have a vendetta against, they seem to like this idea: A harvesting nozzle that you touch to a storage bin (like the ring platforms and ring consoles in stargate) and the bin fills up with a physics prop representing the harvested tiberium, then it is dumped into a refining device that outputs refined tiberium models. Etc. Eventually, when it comes time to use it in a weapon, you just drop the ammo model onto the gun and let it fire however many shots can be squeezed out of it.
You guys blind or what, it is broken at the moment (until it's fixes :P)

As for the modeling, I'm capable of making some things for this mod, I can start making custom weapon/tool models, Tiberium sources, Classic crystals (with bulbs), and maybe even a couple lifeforms should someone be willing to script them.

Hard drive got pickled, gonna try to salvage what I can, but the veinhole may be lost. If it is, I will make it better, there were a few extra animations I realized should be done and it is going to get a little redesign as well. Also, I need to whip up a texture in photoshop.

Veinholes are creatures that live in the ground that rip vehicles and buildings to pieces. They spread in a similar fashion to Tiberium.
I've still got the model, but it isn't perfectly true to Tiberian Sun style, the problem is, you can't really model a hole too effectively, but I have a four lipped mouth.

And I already knew that Gharr. But how is this relevant to the tiberium mod? I thought you were creating Tiberium, not goatse holes that spread and fill the world with epic killstrings.
