You got my download. Problem Is: I Installed this and now I can't load any levels at all without GMOD crashing. It might not be this, but I am suspecting It Is because I un-Installed 1/3 mods I downloaded this morning.

I can't test/release a new version until this is fixed either.
This is cool but now I cannot try it out. A shame, nice job anyway.
ya i was working a texture for it late last night i never got to test it.

Does it have any cool effects when you teleport? If not there's always version 2. :D Lua king for you ;)

Would be cool with the stargate sounds on this(The ring transporter in the series i mean), it feels a bit silent at the moment :S
Nice one :) It works perfectly fine with me. The only thing i have to say about it is, after you teleport you get a weird effect, like if someone's crouching below you with a crossbow. lol (is it just me?). Apart from that, its awesome! :)

I just used your latest version and I just want to point out a couple bugs and suggestions you can do to improve this on. First, there is a bug that on a map like Solar System_v2 where the planets skybox moves everytime the rings are activated. I don't know about other maps, I only just quickly tested it on Solar System and Construct. For improvements, you should try to add better textures for the rings and their platforms to make them appear more stargate like. Same with the sounds, they are nothing like the show and would be better if they were such as the rings rising, the teleport in progress, rings going back into the platform. A custom model for the button would be nice too and sounds for that aswell, i'm sure you know what their interface sounds like or at least i'm assuming you do. Also, you should make it so you can choose which ring platform target which other platform without having to touch them to make it more convenient and easier to use, perhaps make a toolgun kind of like the wiremod only no pesky wires. I have also found that while shooting during transport you don't get teleported anywhere which is a big let down for me because it would be cool to teleport away from the fray while still engaging your enemies. I know in the show they stop firing just before teleport so maybe that could be used instead and force the player to stop firing. Despite what can be done to improve it, I think it is an excellent Entity. Great job, and I hope my suggestions help.
This is officially the laggiest thing in the whole of Garry's Mod.
Do you think you could make a modified version that doesn't teleport I think effects as it makes the sphere surrounding planets move with it in the solar system map. Or at least post a way to modify the script to not teleport specific objects.

I downloaded them they work perfectly but afetr 1 month I don't know what happened I spawn the rings it's ok I teleport something now the rings stay out and go in when I activate them and then stay out again like they do this every time after 1 activation

This hasn't worked for a while. Probably the latest update... Or the update before that.

Plus when the rings are stuck out they don't have collision detection.. so anything can go through them. Everything just seems out of sync. Still, if it gets sorted this will be a great addition to the SG stuff going round!
Ok i extracted the lua, models and materials folders to my Gmod 10 addons folder went into the game looked into the entities list and it wasn't there! It is version 4 i didn't hvae any other versions wgat is wrong and how do i fix it?
I have the same probelem as the guy above. WHat can i do
CatDaemon, do you ever plan on updating this so it works properly with the latest update? I miss using these to transport around, and now with the Asgard transporter SENT and the stargate, I am only missing one teleportation device.
I found a bug in V4 :( When I try to activate one of the pads on tranport to nearest mod, the rings come up, and I am teleported, but the rings don't go down again? However, I can walk through the rings (not sure if that was intended or not!)
