Okay, I'm leaving out the B40 and Colt 1911: Colt1911 Can't reload (dunno why, function's there) Doesn't have HUD (again, function's there, wtf) Sound is too quiet, and comes from left speaker (instead of right) B40 Run anims are screwed up Primary attack anims are also messed up So I'm not going to put those in until further notice. Sorry if I disappointed anyone, but it's not hard to get a Colt 1911 or an RPG from www.garrysmod.org
Oh well, to be honest i didnt care too much about the B40.
Alright, I have three options right now: A: Release the pack now, glitch free, but without the M60 or M16A1 B: Release the pack now with glitches, including the M60 and M16A1 C: Wait for a modeler to respond, and then release the pack glitch free with the M60 and M16A1 You decide.
Hey man my arms are still purple and black checkered, oh and A, I could live without the M60 or the M16A for a little bit.
1: Did you download from the new link? 2: Yeah, I think I'll release it after a little more beta testing.
I can live without the M16A and M60. There are like millions on gmod.org anyway.
1: Did you download from the new link? 2: Yeah, I think I'll release it after a little more beta testing.
Next you're going to say that all the weapons does not work right?
No. I need to make sure everything's there: textures, models, sound, even Lua files, so I don't look like an ass when I release an incomplete pack to you guys. If you had read my first post here, it said that the M16 and M60's shell ejection ports were not defined, and that it needed to be fixed by a modeler. The pack should be able for release in a few days. Known issues (as of now): -Knife melee anim is rather slow -Grenade bounces all over -Third person anims may not work right now (it's supposed to be shared, but is in the init.lua instead of shared.lua)
So put it in shared? If you're talking about the weapon holdtypes, you can do this with no errors whatsoever, so there is really no point not to.
Yeah. I know. I'm not THAT stupid...
UPDATE: Pig Up A Tree is willing to fix the shell ejections. Should hear back soon.
Can't contact him, his site is down for now. :-(
Finally! Someone who actually knows what the fuck they're doing! Just when I thought garrysmod.org was going to be nothing but 8 round M14s and Three-Round Burst M16A1s, you came down and saved us. Thank you. I don't know if you've changed the sounds since your last video, but a couple of the guns were sounding a little bland. If you're looking for new sounds, talk to me over steam.
downloaded from the new link and my arms are purple and black :( oh and nice grenade launcher
Really? Then I have no idea what the problem is.
Okay, it's out: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=117023 Enjoy!
kuma games, gotta love those guy's :buddy:
If it used a diffrent base, With real mechanics i might just use it. Then again, The animations and sounds are pretty fucked up. Lots of clipping going on.
If it used a diffrent base, With real mechanics i might just use it. Then again, The animations and sounds are pretty fucked up. Lots of clipping going on.
The anims and sounds come from a free game developer, meaning the quality is not as good as a real game.
That's one bouncy grenade
Tons of problems. 1. The reload sounds, they hurt my fucking head. At the end of it the reload sound emits a loud high pitch noise that hurts my head terribly. I shouldn't have to flinch everytime I reload a gun in a game. 2. The reloads again. Dunno if anyone else is having this problem, but they seem to be only playing out of one speaker, I don't have problems like that with any of my other guns. 3. Missing hand textures. I have all HL2 games, EP. 1-2, CSS, DoD:S, all source games, and I have missing textures. 4. The gun sounds, they ALL sound the same. 5. They all have too fast of a RoF. 6. The models. They all have bad models, just look at this M14. The magazine is a wood texture, and everything on the gun just looks bad. I mean, seriously Weegee, you didn't make any lua files, you didn't make the models, you didn't make the sounds, what did you make? Judging by the threads you've started, this seems to be the first swep pack you have ever made.
Okay. Thanks for the feedback. I'll fix those problems. However, I did not make the Lua files, I have said many times before, I changed it up for holdtype fixes n' such. The models come from kind of a crappy developer, and as for the sound, I can fix that with scripts. The RoF is actually accurate. The sounds I have come from the same developer and are the only ones that match the reload anims. And no, it's my third pack. The speaker problem can also be fixed with scripts. And that's weird because I included everything that's needed, including hand textures. Possibly, in my second edition, I can make a Colt 1911.
Working on fix now, testing. Again, thanks for the feedback. Added phong and bumpmap for hands (for good measure). New link! v1.1 is done: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=117121
Thanks for fixing the speakers, but, 1. Still missing hand textures 2. Still has the same annoying high pitch reload sound.
My God, stupid hand textures. Okay, should be fixed now. Testing.
Still missing hand textures, PROTIP: Instead of guessing if you fixed the hand textures or not, back up all your GMod files and just delete everything, then once you get the hand textures right just put the files back and you don't have to make 500 versions.

Great mod man.
I'm not really an expert at Lua, like Generic Default or Mighty Lolrus, but I'm getting there. I'll try out what you said. Also, I modified the sniper base for the SVD, as some things were missing, such as the reload function.
Wow. Did you just call Mighty Lolrus and Generic Default an expert? I mean, Mighty Lolrus, of everyone out there? He knows nothing about Lua. He is just a copy paster. Anyways, I hope you make something real one day. [editline]30th January 2011[/editline] By the way, for reload sounds look at an FPSB skin with a scripts folder. Follow the format of that and add in reloads into the qc. Put the new script .txt file inside the "scripts" folder of the addon and make a game_sounds_manifest that uses "precache_file" (or whatever that game_sounds_manifest says for everything else) and then the name of the new script .txt file.

Okay, that was a little mean. 2. Yes, I already know how to do that.
