Garry said this week on his blog now
It's out. Testing on my server, I'll report if it doesn't work.
It's out. Testing on my server, I'll report if it doesn't work.
Gmod is really weird now, cant start it up.
Confirmed fixed.
Yees !!
Confirmed fixed.
Nope. It works only for the person playing it, not for all clients. On my server, confirmed Broken. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Nope. It works only for the person playing it, not for all clients. On my server, confirmed Broken. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
All that is is a concommand and a usermessage. All the work is done on the client, so it should work fine.
It tells them they have to enable the stream... shouldnt that be enabled by default?
It tells them they have to enable the stream... shouldnt that be enabled by default?
No. If it was, people could crash all of your lower end clients.
I like the que feature.
Finally, it works again! I've been looking forward to the "fix" (If you could call it that) and I hope you continue adding more functions, while still holding that simplicity that made me fall in love with YouStream in the first place. It's going to be nice being able to listen to Youtube while I (and my server) go about our business.
I will update this some time in the future. No promises of a timescale, but I will eventually.
Any news on possible additions to the addon? (Apart from previously stated additions.)
Not really. I haven't worked on it since I released it, and have so much stuff going on right now, so I've no plans to work on it for a while.
Hmm... I seem to crash if I try to play a song twice. As in: After the song has completed and I decide to play the song again, it lags, and gives me the "Hl2.exe has stopped responding." error.

In the mean time, I'm going to learn javascript over the summer, so it might be possible to replace YouTube's player with a much cleaner one, and so reduce the chances of crashing.
erhm? Lol i dont hear any music when i play it :(
does this still work?
does this still work?
command works it opens fine every things seems oke i dont hear any sound :(
It broke when YouTube changed the way their API works. gShark will kick this out of the water when I finish it.
ok question. does this support .asx live streams from the web? may be worth adding that support for those who want to stream internet radio on a server and not have to worry about changing songs and so on, just a thought. Also if it dosen't have it already but add player controls like stop , play/pause, prev track, next track, and a precaching for youtube loading. maybe it has all this idk i haven't played with it yet but i will soon enough.

If asx streams can be embedded with <embed> tags, then it will work in gShark. gShark can have well.. anything that can be embedded play.
so gShark will be like the same but then it will work and more awsomeness ? :buddy: That will kick ass
If I stop lazing about and continue work on it, yes.

I hope you at least release a beta soon, I cant use PlayX because of that bug that messes up the resolution and models and stuff when you load a video.
Well ive got this now and if i play a song it doesnt play.
Well ive got this now and if i play a song it doesnt play.
This broke when YouTube changed their API. Wait until I release gShark, whenever that is. use gShark instead.
