Btw anyone trying to host a darkrp server that isn't working, newest update broke it. Anyone with knowledge of lua could fix it though.

Will there be a day/night cycle and roads that are realistic instead of turning 90 degrees in the middle of a forest.[/QUOTE] It will have better roads and i will try add a day/night cycle. As i said before its a WIP[/QUOTE] Put me down for that then haha, just try to keep in mind that people will be writing custom jobs so you may want to try to cater to some of them. For example a car dealer will need a dealership lot, but at the same time you don't want a monopoly so two could be helpful. Just a thought though, I'm sure it'll turn out great no matter what.

Did they seriously just ban him for that? That sucks. Does anyone know of a relative eta to when DarkRP will be patched or are we just waiting for the final launch?

I posted something in the Gmod 13 forum and I'm waiting for a reply.

First of all thanks for making this gamemode FPtje, but can I make a small request? Can you please change all of your code to lowercase only? It really causes a huge headache with all of the inconsistencies in the capitalization of words/folder names and if there was any time better to do I'm guessing it would be with the release of gmod13. Especially now as Garry has taken a more serious approach towards servers that may run linux it would be really great. Thanks.

Thanks.[/QUOTE] I agree, it is a pain to navigate on any *nix based OS with the variation in capitals. Seeing as it shouldn't effect the Windows side of things it shouldn't be too difficult for him to do if he gets time.
So I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that others are having issues with people joining (stuck on Receiving server info) when running dedicated. I can get in just fine when I host the server as a Listen on the same machine I play on but nobody else can join either in that case. Either way I'm glad that it doesn't spam me with errors when it does work.

If I turn off errornumkick then players just spawn with all the usual sandbox guns etc. Hosting on linux, have TTT and sandbox running fine.

If it's running DarkRP and the error I have is common (I've seen a few others post it) then you wont even be able to get into the game at all. I know I had to use +gamemode darkrp instead of +gamemode DarkRP because apparently DarkRP wouldn't read.

Server is perfectly working for me I dont have any server problems (except that I have to use sv_kickerrornum 0 couse dark rp has too many lua errors) with this startup command: -game garrysmodbeta -console -maxplayers 24 +rcon_password *** -port 27015 +map RP_HomeTown2000 +gamemode darkrp But its still in sandbox mode and i cant get dark rp to work...

I've been having an issue where it just freezes at retreving server info and never progresses.
Pulled this from the DarkRP Github page, it worked great for me fixing that issue. ppeeddaa commented on 70b9bbf 12 hours ago "Hi, FPtje you're completely right, it's Garry's issue. Good news: I found a temporary fix for this. I removed the last 5 lines of /garrysmodbeta/gamemodes/darkrp/gamemode/fpp/sh_settings.lua Maybe there are too many ConVars?!"
I didn't think it was possible but the DarkRP F4 derma menu got more ugly.

Garry fixes the issue with joining games in the next update.

If you don't like it please get out, I promise we wont miss you. On a more related note, DarkRP is working fine under RedHat Linux so far! Can't wait for Garry's Mod to come out of the beta stage so we can all host without having to use a different hack to the code with each update.
