I've let this thread lie dormant for quite some time, but I think it's nearly appropriate to once again make use of it.
To briefly summarize, in the past year or so, progress on Aura slowly ceased entirely. We realized how immense our efforts and goals were as a gamemode, and losing dedicated members over the course of time did not help the situation. I also ended up spiraling into a period of no mapping entirely, due to my recent dedication to music production/sound effects. I still firmly believe everything is possible and will eventually come to life, but as previously stated this project is currently being held off, at least in every department, save mapping. I didn't want to start another thread concerning my other efforts, partly because they aren't entirely ready yet and partly because I'm still interested in updating this thread with news concerning Aura.
Before I get too far into another subject, the work put aside for Aura has recently been small:

I'm also drawing up some ideas of how a Teleporter will work, which is simply meeting an NPC on a 'start' (main area to select where to teleport) pad and ending up on an 'end' pad in the area of your choice.

For those that don't know, while Aura has been on hold, concentration has been focused on another effort, namely referred to as 'Dominus.' The main concept is not something new by any means, but I would definitely consider what we're looking to achieve something that hasn't been properly offered to Garry's Mod. It will be an RTS gamemode heavily designed with Age of Empires-like gameplay in mind. Dominus, in this sense meaing 'God,' is based on Greek Mythology and will allow players to worship Gods of their choosing and, as a result, gain various improvements/upgrades/units based upon the Gods they choose.
As of now, our coder, being a fan of the genre beforehand, has already completed a base capable of all general RTS functionalities. Our main obstacle is currently completing the needed models, the buildings and units.
With that in mind, our greatest progress has been made in the mapping department, which also features various custom models that we've been fortunate enough to create. Currently, the Lobby, which will serve as a lounge, theater, casino, mini-game venue, and server transporter, is basically at completion:

To reiterate, in regards to Aura, I will continue to update this thread regularly as I finish components and areas of the map in general. Cruma just made that post to explain why the project is currently on hold, if you were really interested in the project you should perhaps at least make an effort to read what the developers tell you.
I'm interested in the new RTS gamemode, it reminds me of sassilization.
