Here's an idea. How about making this a little more builders friendly? I thought about making entities such as warheads, and then adding certain bomb sections so people can build their own bombs from nose(warhead - exploding lua entity), middle part and an ending with fins.
What do you think about this?

Here's a progress on the bomb parts. Some of those will be turned into warheads that can be attached like you want. I'm also adding missile body parts such as fins and working engines.

I have another dumb question >_< are those bombs above my post in the gbombs now?

nope. Will be in time.

Ok thanks
You should make a bomb bay, where you can load the bombs into and it gets parented to the bay, and then if you use it, it activates the bomb and drops it. Would make an easier way of dropping a lot of bombs.
"Physics
This addon comes with a little bit physics enhancement that allows entities and props to travel at much faster velocity than Source's default."
-This seems very upsetting for advanced dupes i have, especially aircraft that use the Fin Tool...Is there a way to disable it and not bust Gbombs 4?
Also this pack is really awesome so far! The Particle effects are mind-blowing! The models are really nice as well! I wish i had something to offer to the project, i have always been a huge fan of Gbombs. :/ Also, I'm curious if this will have the ability to scale the explosion size like Gbombs 3 and prior had by just spawning a bigger number of entities nearby...I am juuuuuust itching to use the 'Suspicious Barrel' to level a map in glorious fiery fashion. :)
There will be no scaleable explosions sadly :P As for the new physics, this will probably cause the rockets flying slower and the incoming arty-tank shells will travel smaller distances but I'll make an option to turn it on and off in the upcoming update. And if you think you can do models/materials/sounds you can always join :P
I'm also adding a few rocket engines no idea if they'll be useable for anyone but they're fun! They do not unweld themselves like other "rockets" do, so you can slap them to your contraption and make it fly(flop around in circles and eventually explode in flames).

So we will be able to do kamakaze-bomber jets? HELL YES!
So we will be able to do kamakaze-bomber jets? HELL YES!
Well the engines are pretty much rockets that can be ordered to launch and explode and you can't really control the throttle. But yes they can be used for creation of kamikaze jets or even flying bombs if you combine this with a fin or wing stool.

Anything that would make it easier to drop a lot of bombs would be nice.
Something is wrong with facepunch/this particular thread. When I open page 2, FP redirects me to my profile page... wtf?
The bombs are awesome, love the air-fuel bomb explo sound :D

Squeegy did outstanding job with his sounds :P
As for the bomb bay I don't think it's really worth the effort as one can easily make an expression for this. If not expression, a few gates will do the trick. It's not like people will make real bombers with gbombs on board :P I'm focused on the modelpack. It's quite fun actually, when you attach a warhead to middle body section and a tail fin, the bomb realistically points down with it's nose due to the weight ratio. Missiles work better too as they benefit from the mutliple weights too :p
I'm also making a cluster bomb and cluster missile base so it's easy to write your own.
Awesome.
I have hated making bombs and having them not really fall on the nose. Good to see it can now be nose heavy when falling.
Alright guys a little bump here, I'm almost ready to release an update, just gotta fix some particles up and I'm updating the OP.
Bumping so it won't merge if you update.

What's GBombs without a nuke :v:
I'll post a link sometime tomorrow, if you're all ok with it. Uses V-Man's particle systems, Chipstick's "Fat Man" model, an explosion sound sort of by me (made with the sounds in GBombs in soundbooth).
Any word on this? Was looking forward to it.

Ever since the update I've been having issues with the particle system, it may be something on my end. Let me know how it works!
Holy fuck.
Thanks for an awesome birthday present Failure. (It is my birthday today).
Definitely looking forward to playing with the new bombs.
Alright people, updated the link in OP with a new version! The SRB explosion particles are wip and will be finished in next update.
These new, do it yourself bombs are really cool. I used the previous Vman Nuke addon, and made myself a nuclear warhead.
Awesome.
I should of spend less time on planetside 2 and made some models for the do it your self section but Failure made a good selection anyway :v:
I don't know if it's a glitch or on purpose but I like the unexploded ordnance that the cluster bomb can produce. Like three or four bomblets that don't blow up, it kinda adds to it. I like it.

It would be neat if they exploded if moved or stepped on like the real ones can.
So could some inventive people maybe right up some simple wire tutorials some time for things you can do with the bombs with that addon? I have never been good with coming up with things on my own in wire but I can easily build things once I have a blue print.
You mean like...using wire "gates" or tools like "grabber", to make the ultimate super map busting gmod bomb? :D
Once i get home and should have time, i'll try to comeup with something, assuming it will only blow up the map and not blow up the game. xD
Yes the cluster bomb duds are natural and intended :P Would be great if someone came up with expressions for homing missiles and stuff because we're adding missiles designed for air to air warfare too.
Awsome work buddy <3
Also, would be awsome to have "support radio for gbombs3" in gbombs 4.
Someone up for it?
suggestion:
the individual "Do it yourself" parts as snap-on, like certain things in the space-build addon were.
makes it less time consuming to attach each part to one another, which slows down the ongoing warfare. ^^
One of the best Gmod addons ever.
