looks like its the work on this is dropping off. Hopefully someone can get back on this
Just asking but can you put a direct link like media fire folder cause I don't know how to work SVN. Please and Thanks! --PhoenixLord

I've been having the toughest time getting a reply from quentuz to help him get started, he says he's having issues with the svn but refuses to say what. Please and Thanks! --PhoenixLord
If you're going to use gamemodes and some addons, you're going to have to at least learn how to use either git or svn! Here's a generic tutorial for using SVN. Also, I'd have to add that if you're not motivated to look for svn tutorials... well, setting up a gamemode, especially this one, could be quite a task
Garry did an update 13.07.07 and now the npcs wont work when you press e on them. Anyone else having this problem

No one has reported an NPC bug like that since then, so make sure you're running the latest svn version.

Besides the bugs currently in the tracker, everything else should be working fine. I think I would have heard a lot about it if the NPCs were not working. A long time ago I believe some people were reporting problems with NPCs, but that was either just a configuration issue or a bug that was fixed in LDRP after a quick update.
If you still take suggestions please let me know since I am developing a map specifically for this game type. Anyhow my suggestions are as follow so I can custom tailor my map to this game mode: Please keep in mind that I have no lua experience and never hosted a dedicated gmod server. 1. Can a player take the job to sell Missions/Quest/Levels?
Skills system. You gain EXP by doing the things the skills say to do, then you buy the levels.
Similar to the gun dealer but instead a custom bartender job as a player sells missions/levels to other players. Once completed they gain EXP and money, as well unlock additional missions. Perfect if players purchase a minor mission, but for larger missions mob bosses have access to see and purchase missions that players are doing to raid. (examples: Bring me back X illegal object from NPC / Take this from point A to point B / Bank heist / Train hijack x object / etc. (which I can do all those custom missions) 2. OR Can we customize map to NPC jobs? I would like to see the following: Player purchases mission/level from NPC, A trigger Opens a restricted location in my map. ( such as trigger input for my entity ) 3. Vehicle customization functions? for vehicle upgrades ( I plan on adding depth for the illegal street racing scene) Perhaps an NPC to purchase upgrades from their shop and such scripts modifies the vehicle mechanics. In all thanks your time and I leave you with a screenshot of the map I am redoing for optimization:

I like the basic idea of missions for exp and money, although I'm not sure how I feel about one player class being responsible for all missions in the game. Perhaps the mob boss could hand out tasks specific to his needs, and the other classes/NPCs would likewise have their own tasks. 2. Another interesting idea. I've always felt uncomfortable having one map or just a few maps specific to one gamemode, perhaps because there's less variety, or perhaps because I don't have much experience in mapping. Either way I like to emphasize cross-map compatibility, but perhaps this idea can be integrated like that in some form. 3. Just before I left I was playing around with the idea of integrating SCars into the gamemode such that a player class could customize people's vehicles for a fee. The map is looking pretty good, I hope you'll be able to release it some day! If you would like, please submit these ideas to the tracker on the project page, so there's a record of them. On a side note, is anyone interested in working on this project and submitting code?
Hello, can someone tell me how to change the Rule's NPC webpage ?
Hello, can someone tell me how to change the Rule's NPC webpage ?
Should be in the npc lua file.
How do I remove VIPs?
Hey there. I think that issues with using the NPCs are related to an incompatibility with one or more of the vehicle mods listed in this collection. I know there was an issue with passenger mod at some point, I'm not sure if its SVN-patch fixes it. I am working on trying to merge the mod back with DarkRP / push more of the code into the modules and DarkRPModification style for the upcoming 2.5.0 release. It'd be nice if Jarva could get his changes in to the SVN because that was one of the first things I was going to modify so that the chat didn't override Evolve's command hints.
I'm back from school (working now though) so I'm hoping I'll get some time to start working on this project again. I'll try to start addressing the issues soon!

Yeh I can't wait for this to be fixed.
Hey guys, I need the ldrp_npcpositions.txt, as there is no way for me to download them. I was wondering if someone could upload them, thanks! By the way, currently using rp_downtown_v4c.
Hey guys, I need the ldrp_npcpositions.txt, as there is no way for me to download them. I was wondering if someone could upload them, thanks! By the way, currently using rp_downtown_v4c.
There isn't any massive "database" of NPC positions (all though, that is a good idea). In fact, if I recall correctly, I moved npc position storage from files to the sqlite database. If someone wants to upload the portion of their database with npc locations in that map, great, otherwise you're on your own.
Alright, I need some help guys. I installed Liquid RP, and then it's all set and working. However, when I try to join the server, I get massive counts of Lua Errors. But I'm still able to join the server, then when I join it, it's pretty much the same as Sandbox, I cannot see the HUD, and the scoreboard is the same as sandbox. Help! Awesome gamemode, missed the old LiquidRP. But, you can never stay in one time period I guess. Anyways, this is a very good gamemode coded with patience. Try it out if you haven't! Personally for me, it's way too custom. I don't enjoy skill systems and loads of different systems, I believe the players should create these "Systems". Otherwise, enjoy Liquid RP.
